Bamboo Garden

It's American Chinese menu, not authentic Chinese. Basing it on this fact. Great service. Quick with the food. I'm giving this 5 stars because for American Chinese food, the flavors are great. We are Chinese, and we were coming down from Yosemite. We asked the server what was good and he was super honest saying nothing really "authentically Chinese," so we got garlic string beans, salt and pepper shrimp and Hong Kong Chow fun. I have to say, the string beans and shrimp flavors were on point. Server cautioned us that the shrimps did not come with shells (Chinese like shrimps with shells), but we were ok with that. Seasoning and the crispness were perfect. Would stop here again if we pass by.

Ventured out to try a new restaurant. Worth it! The restaurant is clean, however, the bathroom could use a refresher and a good cleaning. Overall, the place is clean. The service was good, however the waiter hovered over everyone, seemed a bit impatient, but he was nice. The food was delicious. The chow mein and fried rice had plenty of veggies, but, could have had more veggies. We ordered the orange chicken and hot and sour soup, delicious. We will be back.

Online ordering was simple. Food was ready on time for pickup and was quite good. Staff is friendly.

I was in Oakdale yesterday and my grandma wanted Chinese. I was nervous because I've had a bad experience in Oakdale before as far as Chinese food. So I found Bamboo Garden and it got decent reviews. So I took a chance. I ordered a veggie fried rice, orange chicken, chicken chow mein, and veggie spring rolls. Business is located where the Kmart used to be next to Mountain Mikes & the Dollar Store. Across from Save-mart. I ordered my food and then did my shopping at the store. I got a call that my food was done shortly so it didn't take too long. I was surprised how close business was to save-mart. The lady who took my order & checked me out was friendly! Business was small but looked clean. The portions were huge!! I had dinner for that night and the next as it was just my grandma & I . Next time I may order less or order a individual meal. Food was actually good. Wasn't greasy & had a decent flavor. Best I've had in Oakdale for sure!!!!!

I love coming to eat at bamboo garden! Best Mongolian beef I have ever tried. I love the egg flower soup as well. I live close by SF so every time I come down to oakdale I always have to get the food! I wish there was one in the Bay Area I would go every weekend! If you're looking for good Chinese food, I would come here!

To begin with. I'm a transferee from San Francisco. What is SF famous for except the views, bridges etc?It's the FOOD!Bamboo Garden fits the mold I've grown up with. Great service, and better food!If you like spicy and fish! Order Salt and pepper fish. It's not on the menu... get extra Serrano peppers. You can't go wrong! All dishes are delicious, priced right and quickly served!Just wish they could sell beer again.

I didn't have very high expectations for the food here since I know they only serve American style Chinese food, and I'm from China. But I have to say, it's pretty tasty for what it is. I love the fried rice and egg flower soup. Service is great too

Amazing food! Best Chinese in Oakdale with great service, food came fast and fresh and warm! Very clean inside as well. Will be returning! Excellence prices too.
