Austin’s Coffee Crafters

I wanted to share my experience this morning. I wish I could say that I had a pleasant experience here, but it was quit the opposite. My sister and I were in the drive thru, and ordered to sandwiches. I have been here a couple of times previously and have typically always had a long wait time in their drive thru, but once our wait time had reached around 15-20 minutes, I nudged my car forward and a younger lady with black curly hair opened the window and asked "do you have a question?" in what seemed to be an annoyed tone. In no impolite way at all, I simply asked "hi yea! Are our sandwiches almost ready?" She tilts her head at us and says verbatim, "Um no. Probably not." And shut the window on us not saying anything else, with no smile, no "sorry" no nothing except an attitude. The reason I asked is because we both had infants in the car and I was simply wondering how much longer the wait would be; after all.. we were in a drive thru. I was completely taken aback, and looked at my sister who had her mouth open in shock by the response we had just received. We decided to park our car, and go inside to wait. When inside, I politely asked one of the male employees if I could have a chat with the manager. The lady who we received the attitude from butted in and said there wasn't one on shift, that her manager works all the time and that she couldn't tell me when she was in, but that *she* was the "lead on shift". All to which, still not getting any apology for her behavior, no accommodation or apology for the long wait, nothing still, and her tone was still very off putting. I did *not* come in there to bark at them and make a fuss. I responded to her, "they have you as the lead and you're the one that gave us attitude?" she proceeded to argue with me and call me disrespectful, scoffed and said "this is too much" and muttered under her breath that i needed to go while turning away. I then left, and absolutely will not be coming back. Coming from someone who has had a restaurant family business growing up, customer service has always been a huge priority for me, and there were a million different ways she could have handled that better. I have always been polite and understanding of servers and restaurant/food workers. After hearing mixed reviews already of the place, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and still support a local business, but that just ruined it for me. I'll take my business elsewhere; just wishing that they'd change up their behavior and mannerisms in a place that should put and treat customers first. I will definitely be in contact with the Manager or Owner.

Dare I say this is the best coffee shop in Ripon? Austin's Coffee Crafters is a really aesthetic coffee shop sandwiches between a couple really good restaurants and it is a great option to get a cup after a nice meal. The service is so friendly here and you are always provided a smile and attentive customer service. There is a good amount of seating indoors and outside. Inside it gets a little toasty, but it is comfortable. The decor is also very creative and well thought out. Downside is that is does close on Sundays.I ordered the Elementary Chai ($4.75) and it might be one of my favorite Chai Lattes especially for the price. It's not too sweet and they add plenty of spices on top. The barista was also super nice and told me it isn't very sweet so if I needed to add more sweetness I can ask them which was great. It was a great experience going here and I love supporting a local neighborhood coffee shop in a small town like Ripon. Parking is also fairly easy during certain times. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're around this location to stop by for some coffee or high quality teas.

Their drinks are always consistent and they have a very hipster vibe overall and is a great place to work at as well with speedy wifi!Their service is quite nice as they always have a nice attention to detail

Such a cute little coffee shop with some great drinks and great food. I got a sandwich and a matcha latte. The service was very friendly and helpful since it was my first time there, I enjoyed the feel of the coffee shop as I walked it. They are deeply rooted by faith which is a breath of fresh air nowadays. Just all around great little spot to either do some work, alone time or grabbing lunch with a friend. I highly recommend

Hubby and I wanted a good coffee after we voted and said let's take a ride to Austin's, in Ripon. We went inside and it was very busy which is fine. I ordered the pumpkin muffin with cream cheese it was fresh and delicious, hubby ordered a breakfast bagel and it was fresh and delicious. But, I ordered a cappuccino with lavender syrup and I didn't taste any lavender what so ever! I think they forgot it.

I've been to Austin's a handful of times now. They have quality tasting hot, vanilla lattes and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Last time I went was before Christmas 2023 coming back to Stockton from Modesto. I choose local, one of one coffee houses every time over ginormous chain coffee stores. Austin's fits the bill. What makes them stand out is that they actually have a drive thru. I never see local coffee spots have drive-thru's!!! Unfortunately the drive thru was closed for some reason and the wait was long but kinda expected for the holidays and the drive-thru being closed. It's located near almond orchards and it's pretty spectacular during the blossom season. Check out Austin's in Ripon!!!

I love the vibe of this coffee shop. It's a school house atmosphere with lots of navy and natural elements. My fave!The coffee never disappoints and their biscotti is perfect for dipping. Service is fast and very friendly :)Of course for the season I got a pumpkin spice latte. It was tasty and actually not too sweet!

Came here for the first time yesterday. I love that they have a drive thru! It makes it so much easier to order on the go.Lucky us, they still have the winter menu so we tried the Butterscotch and the Chocolate Latte with Almond milk.The butterscotch was good but my partner said it tasted slightly water down. The chocolate latte was good. I almost ordered the SF chocolate syrup on accident thinking it was something special but it stands for Sugar Free y'all hahah I felt embarrassed once I realized I didn't know what it was at first.

I drive about 30 min out of the way to this shop, that should say something they have the best breakfast bagel sands and since I am a tea girl, I always order a matcha or chai. Both delicious. Matcha is whisked (the way it should be). The ambience is cozy. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I love the decor and various seating options. I saw some poor reviews about their customer service.. I'm not sure what that's about. I've never had poor customer service and I've been coming here periodically for years. Also, the wait time is average for a sit down coffee shop.

I'm really shocked this place is still open to be honest. The coffee and food is actually pretty good, but the service, how can the service possibly be this SLOOOOOW ALLLLLL THE TIME! Doesn't matter if you're the only car in the drive thru, guaranteed you'll be there at least 10 minutes. That is, if the drive thru is actually open. Don't they realize the more coffee they can get out a day the more money they'll make? It should not take so long to make 2 iced coffees. Starbucks is right around the corner. 20 cars there gets in and out quicker than here.
