Atherton Park

No bathrooms! Such a nice park for kids. Nice fields and playground, but what are you supposed to do when your kid has to use the bathroom?

It is a good park, people are friendly and there are lots of kids so your children can play and have fun, especially the playground is safe and colorful. The only thing I don't like is the public bathroom. It smells so bad, no light and trashes are everywhere. You literally cannot use it.There are lots of courts for different sports and the park is pretty big for different activities. The trees will cover you in summer and there are enough tables to be used by people who packed their lunch and snacks.

Atherton Park in Quail Lakes in Stockton, California. Yelp Challenge 85/100.This is a great park, I love it a lot. What's cool about this park it has a handball court, basketball court, tennis court and a baseball diamond. There's a large strip of grass for football practices and soccer practices. Also the large strip is perfect for flying a kiteAtherton Park has enough shade to relax during the summer time and BBQ. The best part is they have a pretty cool playground here. Mainly for the children, but us adults can have fun too. So when us adults get a little tired of playing in the sand. This park has you covered with some benches. The kids and I spent two summers here, because my son had his Pop Warner football practices here. I'm very familiar with this park. The kids and I love going to parks. Riding our bikes, having a picnic or just talking. It's who we are and how I raised them. Doing what this Daddy does best. Spending time with my children. A lot of homeless people and mosquitoes. Nice play set for 2-7 year olds. No swings which is a bummer for my kids. Tennis court, handball wall, baseball diamond and basketball court. Grass in good condition. I see people have birthday parties here often with jumpers. Bathrooms are permanently closed.

The park itself is pretty decent but the bathroom is absolutely disgusting almost unusable and there is always graffiti tagged all over the park. The people are pretty nice but occasionally there are some very shady people that like to hang out at the park and the basketball court is usually filled with people playing loud rap music. Once I was there and someone shot at a group of Hispanics having a family BBQ during a drive-by shooting, luckily no one was injured but that is the reason I give it only 1 star. Unfortunately it's in a decent neighborhood but to the east of the park are section 8 duplexes that house not so friendly people.

Older park but I like to come here often. Good location-in a cute little neighborhood. It's never crowded and peaceful enough for me to read my book under the big trees. A lot of open space for my dogs, a playground, basketball court and open field.
