Art Glass Studio

My wife and I purchased a sun catcher making class. We had issues with their calendar and texted for assistance. The texts couldn't clarify the situation so we called the number. The lady who answered didn't say hello but immediately said "what do you want!?" (Extremely rude). After explaining our issue she put down the phone and we heard a ton of cursing about our issue and yelling. I have never seen a more unprofessional business in any capacity.I will be reporting this business to group on, Google reviews, yelp, and the better business bureau. The lady we spoke to needs to be fired.

Thank you to Roberta for a wonderful time! She gave us clear guidance, colored glass, glue, board and let our creativity flow! Time went by fast so it's best to come with an idea and/or check out what others have done for inspiration. Great for small groups, girls day out, couples, mother/father daughter/son art time. Great for independent workers. Plan to be there for a few hours.

This was a great way for us to try something new. Creating a mosaic was very unique and fun for a relaxing Saturday.Roberta (very friendly!) got us a spot via email. We arrived a little before 10:30am on Saturday. There were four other groups but we didn't have to share a table with anyone. There were adults, kids, and families. After five minutes of instructions, we got started.Making a mosaic entails gluing pieces of glass (it's safe) onto a canvas utilizing different pieces and colors. You can be as creative as you want. We got the 7x7" board which is fine for a beginner. We spent over three hours here! Time flew by so quickly. At the end, I was pretty exhausted and hurried even though there was no time limit. Three hours for the price was well worth it just for the experience of doing something cool with my partner and making something we could keep.The drive was the only thing that we could say was not great, but everything else was satisfactory. Thanks to Roberta for making this such a fun experience for us.

Roberta could have been a women of her word. After "She" broke our piece packing it, she said she would repair it by placing it back in the kiln and would send it to our home. She even asked for the mailing address. She never sent it. Then she said she would drive and meet half way. Didn't do it. Said her car broke down which isn't her fault and refused to send or refund the money that was spent on class. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. Don't waste your time or money on this Studio.

Had lots of fun making our mosaic pieces! 3 hours there felt like 1. Very therapeutic and I highly enjoyed it. WillCome again.

My husband and I took a One Day Stained Glass Panel class with Roberta and we were pleased with the results. She gave easy to follow instructions, had lots of glass to choose from, and helped us step by step. She was easy going and the shop had a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you, Roberta!

If I could give this shop owner zero stars, I would. And judging from the other reviews, I am not alone. I booked a Groupon for a glass class at this location for my sister's birthday. We were really looking forward to it. I tried to book the class online but was having some difficulties so I sent an email to the owner. I heard nothing for 3 weeks and followed up. I received a text telling me to book online through the Groupon option. When i tried to do this, the next available class wasn't until mid Feb so I asked the owner if there was a sooner option. She told me to book through the calendar in which i told her i could not do that without having to pay. After some back and forth I asked her if we could get on a call as I wasn't sure she was understanding the problem I was having. She proceeded to tell me she understood everything just fine. After more back and forth and more confusion, i called her. I have never in my life been treated the way this woman treated me. A complete stranger. She answered with "WHAT".. not even a hello. I then reiterated the issue i was having, and she starts yelling curse words and walks away from the phone. I hear her screaming in the distance. 5 mins later she comes back and tells me that I was correct in having to book through the Groupon tab and no classes would be available until mid Feb. No apology, nothing. Same unbelievable rudeness like I have never experienced in my life. I told her this was a very uncomfortable experience for me and we would no longer be booking this class. She then harassed me with more text messages about how it was a bad experience for her as well. Which is crazy because I was extremely nice to this woman throughout the entire exchange. I have never experienced such a rude and toxic business owner in my life. I hope no one has to experience what I went through. Hopefully Groupon gives me my money back but honestly I don't even care at this point. I would literally pay to never go here. I hope this woman, named Roberta, thinks really hard about what she did today. And I hope everyone thinks twice before booking a class here.

Let me start by saying how great Roberta is. She explained everything perfectly and had awesome examples. I've never done anything with glass before and didn't really know what I was getting into. I had zero idea what I was going to make and playing around with the pieces of glass I was able to make an awesome mosaic. Selection of colors is amazing and some of the pieces of glass are holographic and capture the light perfectly. I got the Groupon for the 8"x8" and it turned out to be one of the BEST things I've ever made. If you haven't made something here you are missing out big time.

I wish that I could say I am happy. The owner, Roberta is not pleasant to work with and is threating me with a law suit because my voice carried in her studio. I know that my voice carries. It is her unpleasant responses that frustrated me. I think that this is probably more personal on her side than legit. She had no examples of her students being frustrated with me and yet says I am lucky to not get sued by her due to me being disruptive. The plus side is that she does know her craft and she is the only art glass studio close by. She has a great selection of glass, tools and classes. Again, I can only go by my experience. She owes me for 5 class sessions which she has no intention of refunding me and to add insult to injury, threated to sue me! To be fair, I told her in all honesty to post her requirements before class which I think is why it became personal.

Scheduling the session was quite tough and overall there was very little guidance. As others mentioned, the atmosphere is a bit cramped and there is no music, so it's very quiet.Pick up has also been difficult and I still have not been able to grab my art. Reached out to set a date with Roberta, had her confirm and when I checked in a few days before, she said she was at her other location. She still hasn't offered another time and this was over a week ago. Overall, she is slow to respond and quite rude and abrupt over text.
