I am a cherry white belt and have only been going here for about two months. Since my start, Jeremy has been by my side mentoring myself and all the others who come to train. His direct, no BS coaching is exactly what I need and is helping me grow every time I roll. All the instructors are great here and make you feel like part of the family. If you are looking to get started but are hesitant because you are the new guy, don't worry!!! I'm the new guy and I always am welcomed by all levels. Nothing but great people, great times and lots of sweat!!! -Dakotah

My son and I love this place. Only he trains there. I'd really like but my schedule just won't allow it. He's 13 and has been going for 2 years now. I can't say enough great things about the kids program. Jamie and Jeremy are a husband and wife team and are just fantastic. Both are blackbelts and incredibly dedicated these kids. If you have daughters, you won't find a better role model in BJJ (or in anything really) than Jamie. See, it's still kinda rare to find female black belts in BJJ. So to have a female black belt as a trainer is an incredible opportunity and shows. Half the kids classes are girls. And they're no joke. They'll give any boy in the program (and out) a run for his money. Jeremy cool to I guess. Haha. Seriously though, Jeremy's great and has trained kids in some fashion for over 20 years. He's a strait shooter and talks to the kids kinda like their little adults, which seems to work. I know my son responds really well to it.I studied Tae Kwon Do as a kid and It's a very different art than that. TKD is all stand-up, punch and kick heavy with very little grappling. As much as I enjoyed it, I wish I had this back then. I Bet Jr. High and High School would have gone better. Lol.I feel the program has a nice balance to it. What I mean by that is they promote -have fun but train hard. Safety, trust, and respect for one another are always demanded. Adult or kid, You can't train with someone you don't trust. Jeremy and Jamie really want these kids to enjoy it as much as they do.The way I described it to my kid when he signed up was: it's not rec baseball. More like Travel ball. Now this isn't a ufc training facility either. But I'd put the owner Sameer up against anyone. He's not a world champion for nothing. It's more like a very physical game of chess. It's quite fascinating. There's thousands of combinations of moves and counters. I explained it to a buddy like this once: watching someone with real skills, is like having a slight of hand magician not only show you a trick but explain it too. After he's done you still have no idea how to do the trick and he stole your watch. Lol.Basically this place is awesome!

Samir and Queixinho have a undeniably great reputation within the jiu jitsu community, and it was that reputation that brought me to the school. Now that I've been their student, it is their advanced technical knowledge, supportive coaching, and amazing students that keep me coming. I feel fortunate to have truly world-class professors that are also approachable and fun. Honestly, if you are in the area, I don't know why you'd train anywhere else!

$40 Drop in fee for open mat! Gave it 2 stars because it looked like a decent facility with a large mat but $40 drop in fee for a first timer using open mat is wild! First gym I been to that had a drop in fee for open mat.

I found this gym based on location but what we really discovered was a whole new group of awesome people.I can't thank these incredible teachers, Jeremy and Jamie, enough for their passion and care for the students, it is so special to watch. From day one, it was evident that they are not just teaching a sport; they are fostering a community. The dedication they have for Jiu Jitsu is infectious, and it creates an environment where the students feel inspired and motivated to give their best. On day one when my son had no idea what he was doing, they both made him feel welcome and comfortable without looking like the "new" kid who clearly didn't know the basics. The other kids were also quick to take my son as a partner and show him the ropes! What sets this gym apart is the way the teachers treat the kids. It's not just a class; it's a family. The instructors go above and beyond to create a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the students. The genuine care they show is heartwarming. It's clear that they view each child as more than just a student--they treat them as if they were their own and they fight for each kid to reach their own best potential.Watching my son thrive in this class has made me so proud. He is discovering himself through Jiu Jitsu and the group of people he is learning to be responsible toward and respectful too. Grades have improved, he's lost some much needed Covid pounds and shaved 3 minutes off the mile at school since he started in August.Don't look anywhere else, if you read this whole review, you are in the right place already!
