Beautiful store horrible service I walked out after standing at the deli counter and being completely ignored

Visiting Angels Camp over the weekend, we stopped into Angels Food Market to grab some sandwiches after seeing some pictures on Yelp. Coming from the Bay, it's always refreshing to sandwiches that don't cost an arm and leg. A lot of their sandwiches and wraps start at $9.99 and although the sandwich looked small, it was pretty filling. I went with the 'Cattlemen' which was roast beef, horseradish cheddar, plus all the fixing. It's panini pressed, so the the bread is nice and toasted, crunchy. If you are really hungry though, I'd pay extra to get double meat for a little extra protein. My partner got the chicken cesar wrap, and that was pretty tasty. We finished half and ate the rest later and it was pretty good. I had go to the big box store for alcohol, and was surprised to see the prices here being super competitive and even cheaper for a bottle of espelon tequlia. Definitely will be back here to do shopping and grabbing sandwiches for the golf course.

Store is good a little over priced compared to competition. The deli counter sandwich area is hit or miss the fate of your sandwiches depends on the contractor you receive..

Great grocery store with a high quality deli and other specialty food.We visited a few times and loved their curated selection of products. If the local chain grocery store doesn't have what you need, this is a great option.And if you're looking for high quality produce, baked goods, imported items, this is a really good bet.We had sandwiches a few times from the deli and overall they were good, but occasionally the wetness of the produce made the sandwiches a bit soggy.

One of the highlights of my visit to Angels camp was Angels food market. The selection was good for a little supermarket. Close to a resort where you can get everything you need, I needed breakfast food and I got everything I needed. Eggs. cheese, bacon, and sausage. They even had a nice wine selection and they had Cognac, which I was surprised! Closer to my stay than Save Mart and a way better selection. I didn't get to try their made to order sandwiches from the deli but I hear they're amazing.

WOW! What a great grocery store. Well lit, clean and amazing food choices. I mean AMAZING! Like a small Whole Foods. Their employees are so nice and helpful. The produce is so fresh with a nice selection of fresh mushrooms! And they carry our favorite raw milk. Their fresh sandwiches are made to order and delicious. In fact, if you are ever in or near Angels Camp, go to Angel Food Market and get a sandwich. Which are bigger and less expensive than any place we have been to!

Cute little grocery store with an amazing deli and meat counter. We had an impromptu lunch and took some of their pasta salads and meats to grill for dinner. Service was friendly throughout the store.

Really well supplied grocery store - even has vegan options for many items. There's a deli and even Todd's Sourdough Bread! They have fresh veggies, and all the prices are pretty reasonable. The store layout is pretty old fashioned -- with automatic doors that allow a blast of cold air to hit the cashiers who are not even protected from cold/drafts or people's sneezes with the plexiglas you see around checkout areas in other grocery stores. The cashier who helped me was miserably sick - she sounded hoarse and said "My doctor said I can go back to work and I'm not contagious" but it was clear that she was suffering from the cold. She wasn't wearing a mask because her doctor told her "not to" - but that won't protect her weakened immune system from viruses shared by her (mostly unmasked) customers. I'd give this place more stars except for the obvious lack of concern and protection of their staff in this particular visit.

This place does not disappoint. I went here on a recommendation by my trainer. I ordered the Walking Caesar, which is Caesar Salad wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The portion is huge. They definitely didn't skimp on their ingredients. For $8.99, it was definitely worth it. I also ordered a tuna salad with lettuce, tomatoes and onions on an Italian bread. I'm going to have that for my lunch tomorrow. I will definitely update you all about this sandwich later. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Best sandwiches! My Lettuce wrap was HUGE, full of meat and delicious! Next time I'll try thier Gluten Free bread!!!! Hubby had rueben sandwich and loved it too! Service was great. Everyone friendly and helpful too! Will definitely be back!
