I parked my car at this park because it was near an access point to Humbug Willow Creek Trail. Also, it felt very safe to leave my car for a few hours. There was plenty of parking and the bathroom was relatively clean. It's in a nice neighborhood with friendly people, most walking their dogs. Across the street is a green ravine that has a paved walkway that will take you to the start of the trail. I just loved all the greenery and blue skies. It was a gorgeous view!

Amos P. Catlin Park is part of the City of Folsom Parks & Recreation District. The park has plenty of shade trees all around and open space area to roam. I I enjoy the openness of the park and the short walking/ bike trail through the park. The park comes equipped with an softball/baseball diamond, Two covered picnic areas, BBQ's , playground for the kids, and restroom. This park was named after the late California State Legislator ( Amos P. Catlin ). In the late 1840's , Mr. Catlin settled around Mormon Island, where he mined for gold as well as practiced law. Amos P. Catlin's political career extended for more than 50 years. He was instrumental in helping establish Sacramento as the Capital of California !Overall a lovey/ well maintained neighborhood park ! Great for family gatherings ! Enjoy !

LOVE! Glorious gem of Folsom! I start my trek here, loop around and across, down along creek. So much green! Great picnic area, lovely ball fields! Can't wait to add more photos from our POWER WALKS! Love this neighborhood and trails that wind in and around up to Riley and Blue Ravine trail. GLORIOUS afternoon for EXERCISE.I can't WAIT for this to become part of my weekly routine, as I meet up with friends in Folsom. My "Second Home" has some of the most glorious walking trails and parks. Make SURE to put this stop on your map of "to dos!"

This is a great little park. Tucked away from the street. There are swings, and boulders for the kids to climb on. Decently shaded. Lots of ground squirrels too! We'll definitely be back.
