Sadly, this store has poorly represented American Eagle on multiple levels. Their lack of customer service, critical thinking and basic communication skills was so off putting that I will be gladly closing my credit card account that held wonderful rewards!Their sales staff failed to value & uphold any kind of customer service loyalty & their store manager is poorly positioned to educate, support & train her staff wisely to handle basic transactions to avoid dealing with dissatisfied customers or avoid problems that may arise with purchases on a credit card. American Eagle needs to reconsider hiring better staff who care to represent their store well or they should just close down that location. I rather have no staff & shop online than to experience terrible staff. Beware of signing up for a credit card no matter how great the rewards are because the phone teller are just as bad at customer support. Overall, I would not recommend this place to friends, or family anymore.

I believe I had spoken to Gabby today about some issues I was having with an in store delivery. She went above and beyond with helping me, she did everything in her power to help me. She was polite and friendly, which was a huge thing for me. I know working customer service can be challenging at times but she really took her time explaining things and finding out more information for me as well. I had to get off of the phone slightly abruptly and when I called back an hour later another associate I believe her name is Issa (but I'm not completely sure) has answered the phone and was able to recognize my situation and actually knew about my problem as well. These two associates were amazing and I hope they get some type of recognition. It really meant a lot how patient they were, especially in a time like this.

Horrible service. The staff is rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. I kindly asked for assistance more than once. They kept passing me to the next sales rep to bring down a shirt. And that rep would go do something else, and no one would follow up until I'd go back to counter.

This location does not deserve a star. I had a wretched experience here years ago and never came back and just realized that I should share my experience so others understand what they are getting into if they shop here. Here is the worst shopping experience EVER:I came into the store with a friend and KATHY, this lady who is way to old to be dressing like a prostitute and working in retail, shouted to us that they were having a sale. My friend and I began browsing then I got a fitting room and tried some thing on. My friend and I were getting paid the following day so I told her to come back with me the following day so we could shop the sale event more.The next day we came back with one more friend and began browsing. KATHY walked by and said "Oh are you going to BUY something today?" I said "excuse me?!" and she walked away. KATHY proceeded to walk to an associate and point at us and begin whispering about us in a very obvious manner as she tried to hide behind a mannequin and the associate continued to stare at us as the old hag spoke.I put everything down except the shirt my friend said I should get because it look really good on me.We proceeded to check out with another, friendlier, associate. ENTER KATHYKATHY: "You work at ____ don't you?"I ignore her because I'm about to flipKATHY: "don't you work at ____"My friend: " yes he works there and I work at ______"KATHY: "Well don't you know ow conversion works?"ME: "Yes I know EXACTLY how conversion works!"KATHY: "Well you dropped us to a 17% conversion"ME: "AND?!?!?!?!"KATHY: "well I don't know if you take conversion very seriously at your store but.."ME: " Oh yeah we take conversion seriously, we have NEVER had a 17% conversion in my store EVER."KATHY: "Well what do you do when people like YOU come in in groups and buy one thing?"ME: "FIRST OF ALL we have families of 8 come in our store that don't buy anything. SOmetimes there is nothing you can do about it. What WE do is we greet our customers in a friendly manner, we other them suggestions based on their style, we get them fitting rooms and continue to bring them items we think they may like based on their fashion. What we DON'T do is talk shit about our customers behind mannequins because that sets a negative atmosphere and nobody wants to ship in your store when you act like that!"KATHY: "I wasn't talking bad about you, sorry you THOUGHT that. I was saying you were here yesterday and your back so YAY!"ME: "BULLSHIT, you wouldn't have hid your face behind a mannequin if you were saying something that positive!"My friend swipes my card and proceeds to pull me out of the store.I sent an Email to corporate explaining what happened and I explain that neither I nor my friends, coworkers, classmates, family, or anyone I associate with will ever shop with them. All I got back was an autogenerated message saying "Sorry for your experience and we hope you continue shopping with us."Corporate is apparently inept as I clearly stated I would never shop with them again.Also everything is extremely overpriced for what you are getting.

This place sucks! I stopped shopping here like 2 years ago. I like the clothes, but everything is way too overpriced. And the employees, can we say RUDE. They all need a lesson in customer service. No one helps you, no one says hello when you walk in. When you do ask them for help you are interrupting their conversation with their boyfriends. (yes I know guys work their too). Other American Eagles are better but the Stockton one has tainted my whole outlook on them.

Worst customer service! This associate is the RUDEST of them all. I visited this store and was so taken back by how inappropriate she acted. I was ready to make a purchase and walked out empty handed. She stated she doesn't give her name out, that she's a manager and when I asked to speak to someone above her she stated I could find the DMs information myself. According to your website the American Eagle brand culture is based on core values - People, Integrity, Passion, Innovation and Teamwork and your employee demonstrated otherwise today. You believe your associates are the most valuable asset but in this case this specific employee tarnished the American Eagle brand for me. I have visited this store numerous times before and have never received such horrible customer service like I received today. This associates behavior is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. It's employees like her that remind me why I chose the online option vs visiting a store. Wouldn't recommend shopping at this location. Buy online and return here.

This place never has any sizes and every worker that I encountered was so rude. It was so busy and they only had one register open. Another register spent an hour trying to do a return 7/9/23 after 5pm you might want to hire happier employees if you want customers to come back... They were having a shorts sale buy one get one for $25 and I guess I could have grabbed another pair of shorts. I asked the cashier to help me figure out which shorts are apart of the promo she tells me all the shorts in the front and back. I grab a pair from the front, she rings them up, she then proceeds to tell me they aren't apart of the promo. Guess you didn't want another sale since you didn't want to help me lol

So now because of covid there are employees standing in front of the door . Well today i went to look for some jeans and yes i am a bigger girl wearing a size 16 in jeans and when i told the guy i was looking for jeans he looked at me up and down and simply said " we only have jeans up to a size 8 at the moment " didn't even allow me into the store to even just shop around maybe for tops or something. If you know me, I love AE. It's comfortable and the only place that has jeans that fit me well. My experience here has usually been pretty positive.However, recently I came by the store and around 8:30 it's not too busy. Actually I was probably about one of three customers in the store. I waited in line for 10mins. 10mins as the only one in line while the person at the register was ringing up ANOTHER employee. Now, my biggest issue with this was no acknowledgement. No "I'm sorry for the wait, we'll be right with you" or even calling another person to the register to ring up. They would both glance over and not say a word. I ended up putting my items away and walking out. I'll stick to online or other AE stores.

So disappointed today. Went here to get a gift card and new jeans and leggings and the biggest size they had was a 4!!!! That's unacceptable. Why is this store even still open?!
