Amador Hotel

Clean, quiet, and pet-friendly accommodation. The room was spacious with a very comfortable King-size bed and a patio to a grassy area. A refrigerator and a microwave were also provided. The shower gave me a nice warm massage. All-in-all a nice stay with easy parking. Nice staff, too! Right off a highway and easy drive to Volcano, Pine Grove, Jackson, and Sutter Creek.

I have medical issues and accidently became lost on 88 with my service dog.I pulled over quickly when I saw your hotel.What an amazing place to land.The rooms were so beautiful wood floors floor to ceiling windows with access to the grass and trees. Thoughtfully appointed inside and out on the patio.The staff were so accommodating and friendly.Jaynie was particularly helpful.Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.We will be back.Susan Peterson and Zen

My family and I were snowed in so we needed a place to stay. The staff was very friendly, room was exceptionally clean, pet friendly, and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. We're so glad this is the hotel we chose to ride out the storm! Thank you!

Had a wonderful stay here during my trip out to Amador County! This is a small inn that's located right off the side of the road. I only stayed here for one night but I felt right at home during my short visit. The room was spacious with high ceilings and a great view of the pool and Jacuzzi from the patio. I loved the fact that it had a vanity with another sink right next to the bathroom. The room was pretty clean with the exception of the dirty hand towel that I found. It looked like whatever stains that were on there were hard to get out. The bed was very comfy and the heater worked great. Excellent water pressure in the shower! Mini vials of shampoo and conditioner were provided as well. My room had a mini fridge, coffee maker, and an old outdated TV set that I didn't end up using anyways. My room was on the second floor and the view from the patio was really pretty. They have a pool and Jacuzzi located behind the building but I didn't use it. Also found it helpful that a vending machine with snacks and drinks were located outside on the ground floor near the stairs. No elevator or complimentary breakfast here, but it's only a small two-story building with less than 30 units and there's a nice little café that was only about a 10 minute drive away. This inn is located right next to a sports pub called Gallagher's that serves lunch and deli items. Parking is ample and the check-in process was fast and easy. The check-in attendant was very pleasant! The wifi was excellent which was great because there's virtually no reception out in this area. They use an actually key to unlock the hotel room doors, not the keycards that I'm used to. The only real downside here is that you must check-in between 3pm-10pm because the front office closes at 10pm. You could possibly arrange for an earlier check-in, but late check-ins are tough since you must check-in before 10pm. If checking out early, you can drop your key in the key drop located at the check-in office. They do require a credit card for incidentals, but they won't charge or place a hold on your card unless you violate their policies (non-smoking, etc). My stay was brief but comfortable and I would stay here again in the future.

I had a great time here ! The rooms are older but they're well maintained and the workers are very friendly & helpful ! The pool and hot tub are great ! There's a bar across the way and we had a good hot dog and met some friendly people ! Although the bar is for 21 or over they have seats out side if you wanted to order food for your kids ! I will definitely be back and staying here again ! The view up here is great and the price is right ! Side note ! My only down fall is the TVs really need to be updated! Suggestion for the owners is to look into Walmart and or Best Buy sometimes you can get bulk deals being a business and get refurbished flat screens for cheap to replace the old ones ! You can also try amazon!

Several family members rented multiple rooms for a family event nearby. - no hot water for 2 days for the entire building, told they were trying to get it fixed. Later told no propane.- two rooms heater didn't work- one couple remote didn't work- several rooms with cigarette burns in blankets - several beds in multiple rooms with cans, socks, etc under beds (never cleaned?)- two family members requested some kind of compensation for 2 days and no showers, front desk argued not their fault. Also refused to give owner name/ number This could be a decent place if they actually cared for it and bought sheets/ blankets. Several people posting poor reviews and a few upset enough talking about making a better business bureau complaint.

Quality and clean seems their theme. Rooms are very nice. Outside is very well maintained. Each room has a patio. Nice pool deck out back with a simple meadow and tree line behind it. I recommend a room along the back to reduce highway noise but it wasn't a big problem anyhow.

We stayed for two nights while my Mom was visiting. The pool was temporarily closed but they got it opened right away. The night staff was more knowledgeable than the day staff. But both were very professional and friendly. We did have a problem with another guest on our second night. It literally sounded like elephants were going to come through the ceiling. I went to the office around 9:30pm to make sure it was dealt with before they closed. The other guest was in the office at the same time. I mentioned the issue and he said "that must be us we just got in, it's my child I have not control of that" I was shocked. Not sure why any parent does not have any form of control over their child. The office asked if we wanted to move and I told them no. We were already in bed and had been there since the night before. The other guest tried to gaslight me and act like he didn't say anything when he had. He then tries to convince the staff that he shouldn't have to move and even tried to take furniture from one room to the other. The man working made them move, not sure if he got other complaints. These people were the type that have zero courtesy for other people. I felt really bad for Amr (sp?) who was working the office. He handles it well despite me being upset and the other guest being an entitled jerk. The owner is lucky to have him there to handle such situations. I'm not sure how I would have handled that professionally if it were me. But he was awesome!We are locals, my Mom was visiting from out of town to see her grandkids. I will recommend this place to friends and family in the future. It's simple but nice. And they allow pets!

What a great place for a pit stop on your way to skiing in Kirkwood! We had the most wonderful 2-nights stay at this hotel, my two (very picky!) teens loved it! Fresh renovated rooms, everything new and clean and impeccable, I loved wooden ceilings and huge windows facing beautiful forest. Amazing very hospitable and attentive crew, they treat you like family! There is a nice restaurant at the property with pool tables and good food and drinks. Short drive (under an hour) from Kirkwood, and tons of amazing places nearby! We loved Black Chasm Caverns (less than 10 minutes away and home to some super rare structures - only 2 caverns in the US have them!). We also found the most amazing emerald lake not captured in any maps!! I wish I could find how to post the pictures, they are just epic
