Allan Witt Park

This is about the Aquatic center.Water is consistently clean, the one missing star is due to very limited hours and an often busy pool, i believe they should expand the pool hours especially for lap swimmers to encourage health and fitness for the community.Almost every other public pool has double the amount of hours for lap swimmers, this pool seems to be staffed but not enough hours for lap swim exercise. They also block kids from lap swimming which doesn't make much sense since my kid (like many others) can swim laps almost like an adult !

Disclaimer: My review is only applicable to the dog parks. I have not used any other facilities in this park. The dog park was built around 2020 or 2021. So as of 2024 it's still fairly new! It's well maintained. Sometimes the poop bags run out. When they do the community steps in and adds more until the City refills. The City of Fairfield has been very quick about responding to fallen trees. They listened to the people and moved trash cans inside the dog park area. These are lovely dog parks. Well shaded with very large mature trees. There's some metal bench seating under an awning. Some people have brought in picnic tables and installed a leash holder shelf. There's even obstacle/agility courses on both sides for the dogs. There are designated water fountains inside. The large dog park has a nice paved walking path. The fencing is 6' on the large dog side and about 4' on the small side. Beware the large dog side has a section near the agility course where your dog can dig out and run in the fenced in section between the park and the neighboring apartment complex. Don't bring your escape artist small dog here or do so with caution. The people and community here have been pretty friendly. The location itself as you can read from the other reviews is a bit sketchy. I wouldn't be here alone after sunset. There are homeless people nearby. The designated dog park parking lot is very small. But there is additional parking nearby with a short walk. My dogs really like this park. There are squirrels in the trees. So there's lots of natural enrichment. If the parking lot was larger and the location wasn't questionably safe this would be perfect!

Nice sized park with lots of field space that could be used for sports and other activities. Play structure, aquatic area, and dog park are actively used. Unfortunately, there has been a large increase of trash and homelessness over the years that make it less desirable.

Nice indoor pool with lazy river and kiddie pool. Only downside was water slides were closed when we went

Out side pool closed several times by guards , we come this place with kids , they all want to play , it's small kids pool , they don't need to closed so many times

Nice place but small parking facilities. Ill have to stop by to check the water park out with the kids

This review is for the swim lessons. We highly recommend this place! We drive all the way from Vacaville for swim lessons. The coaches are enthusiastic & interactive. Our kid loves coming to the lessons and used to be scared of water. I wish the complex was located in a safer neighborhood, but I know there's nothing we can do about that.

CONS : * Safety. Take a friend but not your kids. The homeless population is high. I've been sexually harassed and followed. Many are on drugs. It's impossible to have cook outs until it's a large group. The homeless issue is sad to see. * Traffic. Before and after school hours parking can be packed. PROS : * Variety and space. I love the variety of sports and activites. You can play baseball, tennis, volleyball, soccor and skate. The playground has variety.

Be aware. Pool gave me an infection in my belly button piercing that has been healed for over 10 years AND pink eye. I have never had this reaction from a pool before. I know it's from here because it showed up immediately, the day after the party I attended here. Also, bathrooms were gross and they closed at 4pm on a Saturday, which I find ridiculous on a weekend in the summer. The outdoor pool area was so cold that all the kids in the party I was attending came back shivering and had blue lips. The indoor pool wasn't much warmer.
