PLEASE READ! I am only giving 1 star because thats what they deserve! My Wife and I ordered a Mattress and Head Board Bed Frame on March 21st and did not receive it until May 9th. During the purchase we were told to expect a delivery in 2-4 weeks and that the order would be placed on the following Monday, which I found odd given that it was a Tuesday.(Really? 6 days to place a order that is paid in full.) A month goes by and we don't hear a word from Alexanders about our order status, so my wife decides to call. She talks to Rosa and she explains that our order is not in and that they cant track the order. She also says that it hasn't been the full four weeks and that some orders could take up to six weeks. After waiting another week and still no word, my wife decides to call again, this time we are told that our items have arrived and that she would check in with her boss to get us a delivery date BUT, the delivery could take another week or longer! WTH! We didn't hear anything again for another week. I was doing some shopping near the Alexanders in Stockton on Saturday May 6th and just decided to drop in and see if anyone could help me with this issue. I actually ran into the person who helped me in Lodi and truth be told I was a forgotten customer. I gave her my name and she goes in the back and checks the status of my order, she comes back and says that my items are in and that it can be delivered in Monday. FINALLY! We also worked out a refund for the bed frame (because head board comes with frame, which my wife caught when we left the store) and she also said they wouldn't charge a delivery fee since it took so long, and I would receive the refund on delivery day(she said it would be put back on my card on delivery day)Cool. Well my wife and I would be at work Monday so we decided to take out our old bed Sunday night and sleep on our air Mattress since we wouldn't have time on Monday. Delivery was scheduled for after 3pm, I get a call around 11am from the same employee saying there was a miscommunication, that our Mattress wouldn't be in until tomorrow, and that they apologize and could have it delivered on Tuesday. Wow, first they told us a few weeks back and on that Saturday our items were in, and now there not? WTH!! By this time my wife is furious. So yesterday around 5pm our bed finally arrives and gets set up, I check my account to see if my refund was there and it wasn't, so curious about the issue, I called Rosa and she said it would actually be a refund by check, BUT that she gave it to the other delivery driver and that they would have it at my house by the end of the day.NOPE! At this time its just COMEDY! I get a call from her today saying they couldn't get a hold of me because they had the wrong phone number and she apologized and said it would be delivered to my house between 1-3, sure enough they call at 11am and said they were in route, the only problem was we were expecting them later, and since they need a signature I had to call my mother in law to go sign since my wife and I wouldn't be home. The experience I had at Alexanders was the most frustrating and bizarre from any furniture store I have ever been to. Their process and customer value is terrible! Nobody seems to be on the same page, and staff just comes off as sloppy and undertrained.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! It's been a nightmare. They NEED training! I ordered my mattress last month and they have no idea where my mattress is and when it does come in they won't even take my old mattress. They state delivery is from 2-4 weeks after purchase WRONG! It's been 3 weeks now and they still have no idea where my mattress is and say it's can be at least another 2 weeks longer! This has been the worst mistake! Please DO NOT GO THERE!

Sad to say I too am a victim of the same story. Purchased $8000.00 worth of furniture, paid the balance in full. Bed, sectional and 3 pc end table. Was told 2-4 weeks. This past Saturday was 4 weeks. The bed was delivered today. The 2 free tempurpedic pillows valued at $199.00 each, I was promised, were replaced by some off brand cheap pillows. The free mattress protector is not moisture proof and the $3800 bed is on the floor because they did not deliver the promised frame. I call everyday and I am told they will know "tomorrow" when I can expect my sectional and tables. Every day they say they will know more tomorrow. They have been polite but do not call when they say. Same story can be read over and over by multiple consumers. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

This place is a joke, We ordered our mattress, they got thier money now nobody can tell us where our mattress is or when it will be received. Im contacting a lawyer today. We have called 5 different times and nobody can tell us anything. This is a terrible way to do business. They just brush you off after they get your money. I will never shop at a little shop again, for now on only reputable business will get my business, I want to go to the little guy but no more Im tired of being screwed out of money, going to Sleep Train to get a mattress... If you value your hard earned money I would not shop here. Not to mention they are so rude.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! Purchased a mattress on 08/20/17. Was promised by salesman after calling his supervisor that mattress would be delivered in about one week's time, as I was moving into an apartment and said I would purchase from this company if they could make that happen. Paid extra $80.00 on top for this delivery service (normally they do not charge for delivery). Did not hear from the company and said time passed. Contacted David the salesman and he did not have any explanation or answers, other than stating he apologized that he did not know how to resolve it. Gave me a phone number 209-910-9942 said it was for the warehouse. Able to reach someone that day and she stated she would have the manager call me back that day. This did not happen. Several weeks pass and I did not hear anything from the company. The receipt clearly states delivery expectation: "Delivery takes 2-4 weeks from the first Monday following your purchase date. In rare circumstances delivery may take up to 6 weeks." Called the number again on 9/29/17 to complain and was told the mattress would be delivered 10/3/17. She claims there was some miscommunication between stores. This day came and went without delivery or even so much as a phone call. As of 10/17/17 have not heard from the company regarding delivery. Called the sales rep Mike in Lodi 10/8/17 where I purchased mattress to cancel order, who apologized for bizarre events, but did not have any idea how to resolve except to call the same warehouse phone number and gave me the name of the manager, Natie. Have not been able to speak to anyone when calling on multiple attempts during business hours. Option to talk someone regarding order/delivery status either states there is no voicemail set up and agent is unavailable, or the phone rings continuously with no answer. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint today. As previous reviews have stated, this experience is truly bizarre. I wish I had done a simple yelp search to see the 1 star reviews prior to walking in the store. Every issue is the same and the incompetence of this company is truly hard to believe. I've had issues arise in the past with other furniture stores regarding delivery but not one of them has just simply not contacted me when something went wrong. I think that's the one thing that ticked me off the most out of a long list. It's the worst customer service I've ever experienced.Will update this review once resolved

Sooo I went to Google and typed in Alexander's just to check it out..there no actual website..it goes to a Facebook page?? First red flag..and then of course I looked on here. Wow. I will never be shopping here..I'll be sticking with Mattress Firm.

We were greeted by Anthony when we walked in and were pleased with his demeanor and customer service. He did very well to educate us on pretty much all things mattresses. He gave us plenty of time to try as many mattresses as we wanted and get a feel for what WE wanted instead of selling us something that HE wanted us to have. He gave us as much time as we needed and was very patient to the point where we went home to think about it and ended up coming back because we wanted to by from him. I highly encourage people to use Alexanders Mattress gallery when looking for anything regarding their bedroom.

I just ordered a mattress on March 25 and have not received it. They said it would take 2-4 weeks for delivery and I would get a call to schedule the delivery. I signed up for financing to improve my credit and it has been 33 days (more than 4 weeks) and they still don't know where it is. I paid the down payment for financing, signed the edocuments and called American First who told me today that the delivery date they put down for me to finalize the contract was April 19, but they didn't sign the contract. I requested to cancel since last week I asked them to email me my invoice (which was April 17th and they said they would the next day since I called after 5) and I never received it. I tried today to cancel, but American First has to wait till the store signs the contract or until 30 days from the delivery date they put down, and then they can cancel (unless Alexander's Mattress Gallery calls them to cancel it). But they are refusing, saying they have to wait to find out where the mattress is (even though last week on the 17th they stated it was already in transit and they would be calling in a couple days to schedule delivery), and then they have to charge me a restocking fee of 25%. What?! They also read me the invoice that states 2-4 weeks from the Monday after order which would be the 27th and that it also states it could take up to 6 weeks. If this is true, then why did they put down the 19th for delivery on the contract they somehow forgot to sign?? This is completely ridiculous. I paid $272 for the hardware, a mattress protector, the down payment for the financing and taxes I'm guessing, and all I have to show for it is the mattress protector. I cannot believe this. Never go here!! PS everyone has been very rude from the store, interrupting over and over and telling me they can't do anything, they'll call in 30-40 min and 2 hours later still no call and no answers about my contract which technically isn't valid since they never signed it. UGH so frustrated.
