Hadn't been to Abel's for a while and thought we would check out apple time. We went during the week so it would not be as busy. They have our favorites such as cider donuts, apple fritters, caramel apples and fudge. We were hungry so decided to order some food. They have a restaurant area in the back. We watched the cows while waiting for our food. The food came out quickly and we ordered tacos. It is a great place to stop with plenty of parking with some across the street. Brought our dog so he was interested in the cows while we were out back. The staff were nice and we didn't have to wait long to check out

Came here at the end of September as part of my day in Apple Hill. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing stop. I have limited stomach space and a ton of foods I wanted to try. Based on online recommendations, this was going to be my "pie" stop. I got an apple dumpling with cider sauce and it was just so... mediocre. The crust wasn't particularly flakey, the filling was unremarkable, and the cider sauce was not very flavorful. I was so bummed! Definitely should have gone somewhere else.On the plus side, the back patio where you dine is nicely shaded. They have a big menu of non-apple food, which is good if you want a real meal rather than just apple sweets and drinks. And they have a outside station to fill up your water bottles.Dogs are allowed on the patio. I tied my dog up there while going to the inside window to order from the bake shop. If you want to order real food,, the window for that is on the patio.

My fiancé and I went on a Sunday wanting to explore another spot. Got there at 3:45pm. Enjoyed bbq on the patio, went to get a desert where they were out of everything and only had blueberry apple pie. My partner went to the (male)rest room and a female employee came in to clean while he was in. He asked her for privacy as she replied, "no I'm cleaning". Another man came in and asked her to step out and again said "It's okay" and stayed in. I used the female one where there ended up being no soap and very minimal paper products of all kind. We come out at 4:17pm and were greeted buy a man who firmly stated "You need to go" pointing to the door. Behind him was two more employees waiting to escort us out. We were suddenly the only customers. I stated to one of the employees, your front door along with website states your closed at 530pm. He replied "It doesn't matter" practically pushing us out the door. In Apple Hill peak season I would hope/ think some decency would be accounted for along with apple treats. Thought this was gonna be a decent spot, looks like decent amount of reviews i see now are about very poor customer service. Sucks for being a "family" place. Will not be back.

This was my first trip to Apple Hill and my second stop of the trip. We stopped here around noon. This stop is right off the road and an easy turn off. Parking was limited, but there were still some spots in the front parking lot because it was Tuesday. The main building seems to be historic/older and has sweet treats, pies, caramel apples, and holiday trinkets and souvenirs. Outside they have a deck with food options (we did not eat here) and the tritip sandwich looked really good! There were a lot of picnic benches on the deck with an overview of orchards and the kid area. The kid area was closed (Tuesday) but seemed to have pony rides and a maze when open. One of the workers allowed us to feed the cows! We did purchase caramel apples and those tasted great!!

Pretty nice place right on the corner of an intersection. Really wanted to do some of their gem mining and maze but they had it closed for a school field trip (makes sense). Just got to try out their apple dumplings (highly recommended with sauce and ice cream) and checked out the animals. Before I go any further I really do need to tell you that this is not a place to go if you are 1. Diabetic, or 2 gluten intolerant, most of the food items sold in this area has a pretty high amount of sugar and dough. However, if you're doing a cheat day, then by all means try literally everything they have! Back to the review...the service was excellent, the employees were attentive, and everything ran pretty smoothly,

Able's is the perfect go to stop when visiting apple hill. They have plenty of goodies including apple pies and caramels apples. The staff is super friendly. And there's plenty of outdoor seating to hangout and eat. They have a bunch of cute wood cutouts to take pictures with. I love that it's smaller that the other close by orchards and parking is really easy.

Bonus apple fritter review (outside Sacramento area)Glaze: Could be more, but not bad. Three stars.Outside: I much prefer fritters that are crispy on the outside and this just isn't. Two stars.Inside: Honestly pretty dry. Two stars.Filling: The apple chunks in here are huge. But there just aren't that many of them. In fact, there were only three pieces of apple in my entire fritter. Three stars for three pieces of apple.Three stars are all I can give. No they're not horrible, and they are served very hot, which is nice. It'a pretty good apple pastry, it's just not what I'm looking for in a fritter.

Beautiful little stop in Apple Hill - so many cozy sitting areas and perfect for a small family to stop by, buy some treats, have lunch, and enjoy the fall. Staff is so nice and friendly, and the options for snacks and treats to shop around for are wonderful.Parking is a little bit limited in their front lot, but there are lots of folks in and out. There is a nice little local artisan/crafts walk connected to the store with plenty of small cute things for the family to browse. The BBQ is ok - wanted to like it more, but it was slightly disappointing - the tri tip was a bit dry and chewy. Garlic fries were good.Would definitely stop by again.

Another stop in Apple Hill. This turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Although they have a good selection of products, everything seemed to be on the lower quality end of the spectrum.Overall, the place looks old and also a bit tired and in need of a sprucing up. It was very empty and lacked energy. Not having any customers didn't help the overall atmosphere of this place.Prices seem quite good, and there are nice cozy cabana type seating places for small groups.A large outdoor patio is pleasant enough leading to a place for pizza, with a lower area with activities, including a wood maze. Not a lot of food options were open, and I suspect coming on a weekend, with more customers around, would be better.Don't rule it out for a stop, as you may have a different impression.

One of the larger Apple places with more parking. Plenty of pie, candy apples, and much more. They have some things for kids so this place is especially nice for families. Plenty of food options. Staff are all nice and helpful. They take Apple Pay and tap to pay.
