If you're looking for your typical bar experience this is not the place, that's next door. However, if you're looking for good, stiff drinks made with top shelf alcohol and perhaps freshly squeezed juice if your drink calls for it, then by all means hit this place up. Drinks aren't cheap and you'll definitely pay a premium but you do get what you pay for.Originally opened as a whiskey lounge, it has since expanded its selection to offer the most pickiest craft cocktail connoisseur a wide variety to choose from. I can honestly say I haven't had a bad drink here. The bartenders have always provided me with exceptional service and i've never had to wait long for a drink. In the event that I may have to in the near future, at least i'll know they're taking their time concocting a delectable drink sure to please my palate. This place does have a dress code so keep that in mind if you plan on stopping by. It's nothing outlandish but I do think they aim to cater to a certain clientele. One thing I don't like about this place is the shared bathroom with no mirror or seat covers. A girls got to touch up her lip gloss and doesn't want to tinkle where nasty boys have sprinkled. ;)Stay classy!

Walked in, my friend had a Raiders jersey. And they refused our service because he had a jersey on. HORRIBLE EXCUSE EVER!! Btw, I'm a 9ers fan. Never heard of this type of dress code for a casual setting. Oh & today was the preseason game for the 9ers & Raiders. But still....

Ladies, leave your pretty hats at home because this bar doesn't want you in their place wearing one without any explanation as to why!I've had many cocktails in bars in Sacramento so when my friends wanted to check this place I thought why not? They have their own cocktail menu with like 5 drinks, and they didn't sound all that great. The drink I had was watered down, barely had any alcohol in it and was disappointed. Boyfriend said his drink was watered down too. As far as the vibe, it feels dark and loomy inside. I was expecting more of a experience. Overall, disappointing experience and would rather enjoy wine slushies down the street atFive windows.

Rude rude rude. First of all check yourselves you are NOT an expensive high end bar and even if you were girls can wear hats. This douche nozzle waited for me to sit in there with a friend for 20 min before telling me to take off my hat. I refused. Then my friend said so you don't want our money then? He said they don't need money. Ummm you are a bar. You are there to make money. So we left. He was as rude as some asshole in a bar could be. Super unprofessional. Then some blonde bimbo put her little sense in too. To which I got bitchy I'd rather keep going to my upscale nice bars in Sac. This place sucks. Oh and last time I got a drink here it was made wrong. Sucks!!!! I'd rather go to the winery across the street. Where I'm treated way better.

Not sure why there are all the negative reviews, we came here on a busy Saturday night and had a fairly positive experience. Atmosphere:This place is very nice and sophisticated. It is much quieter as well than its sister bar next door. Quite the opposite of its sister bar actually. I appreciated that it was clean, well decorated and the thought put into displaying the alcohol pays off. It is very pleasing to the eye. As for the dress code that some have complained about you have to remember that this is not the bar next door, this is a more upscale craft cocktail place so hats and flip flops are not usually appropriate.Service:The service was as attentive as possible. When we first arrived it wasn't very busy and two bartenders were sufficient. However, once it picked up service did slow down but to no fault of the bartenders because they were working their butts off. Also, this is a bar, not a restaurant so you have to go to the bar to order drinks. I mention this because several reviews complain about this. Granted there are some bars that have servers that go to the tables but this is not one of those places. My suggestions to management are #1 make sure there are more bartenders on a busy weekend or at the least have a bar back to support the bartenders with little tasks that make their job go more smoothly. If the bartenders jobs go more smoothly you sell more drinks and customers are happier which both equal more $$$ for the owners and bartenders. #2 Make sure your new bartender(s) are sufficiently trained before throwing them into the lions den of a busy weekend night. Drinks: LOVE LOVE LOVE the drinks! I have been waiting for Lodi to get a bar like this for awhile now. The drinks are well thought out craft cocktails. The ingredients are freshly made in house and there are no mass produced overly sweet or fake mixers. Every cocktail is made to order so I can make sure I get exactly what I want. For me all of this is a bonus and makes me want to start spending my money in Downtown Lodi rather than heading to Downtown/Midtown Sacramento for quality drinks. Overall my husband and I had a great experience. The cocktails are good and the price is reasonable. This is a place we can enjoy a nice night out on the town. We plan on coming back.

We visited 20 North tonight for drinks after dinner. We had a party of 8, but only 7 were drinking. We ordered 7 shots to start and 8 waters. We stayed another hour and ordered another round of drinks. After closing out, we realized that we were charged for 8 shots not 7. We tried to tell the bartender but he was insistent we ordered 8. Then we proceeded to bring the shot glasses as we still had all our glasses at our table but the bartender still fought with us that he gave us 8.Bummer that a bar we used to really enjoy felt the need to cheat us out of a drink, even after we showed proof. Sometimes it's just the little things that show the true character of a place/people.20 North is not a place we would recommend to friends or visit again.

One of the bartenders charged my friends for 8 shots when they had only ordered 7 and received 7. Bro was not admitting his mistake either saying he poured eight drinks. Which technically he did...of WATER!! We even brought the shot glasses up for him to count and he immediately took some away entirely dismissing us.

This place shouldn't have 2.5 stars, here's why:"The Anita". Delicious with a nice jalapeño kick. Service is good. Could be better but it's good service and amazing drink. Also right next to Ollie's but never a big crowd so it's a nicer bar with less noise.

Absolutely terrible service. I have never been treated as bad as I was by Zach the bar tender. He started to scream at me and kick me out because I went to the bathroom with my friend. Even if he did not allow that, he could have politely asked me to stop out rather than scream at me like a child. So obnoxious and rude! I will never go back, worst service ever.

Same owner as Ollie's next door. Used to be a great place to get a craft cocktail! Now, I can make a better one at home, and more often than not, they don't make the drinks right, easy ones like old fashions! I miss Mike who used to bartend there, he knew how to make an amazing drink!!!
