Stillwater

Visited Stillwater after work with a friend and we were able to be seated in their lovely outside patio area. First off, the service is wonderful. The staff were attentive and gave very helpful recommendations.Second, the food and drinks are delicious! We got the Cowboy Cosmo and the Saturnalia and they really hit the spot after a long day of adult life. We also got their tot-chos (an NBA finals special - Go C's!), a burger, and their pasta special (something magical with squash). DELICIOUS.Honestly, what a great place to wind down, catch up with someone, and breathe. It was exactly what we needed.We will be back!!

Stillwater is a nice location to share after work drinks and appetizers at the edge of the financial district though the bar area is narrow and dark. We enjoyed starters such as the poppy seed crusted tuna ($17) and chicken empanadas ($12). Local oysters were nicely presented in a traditional manner, though on the small side.However, the highlight dishes may have been the sausage and corn chowder, a filling bowl ($9) of sweet hearty soup with a punch of spice, and the Cobb salad ($18).Dessert descriptions sounded great, but the execution was a bit underwhelming. The S'mores donuts ($11) were dense and the peach tarte (a special that night), was all flaky crust with hardly any discernible peach.Our server, Eduardo, did a great job meeting all of our needs.

Chill neighborhood spot. Super relaxed service and super relaxed vibes. And good comfort food I had the corn and sausage chowder rich and creamy with good flavor and came with a biscuit. The biscuit was ok but didn't taste that fresh Then I had the lamb chops. They were good quality, good portions, and while the flavor was certainly good, I wish there was just a little bit to it. I would still get it again though.Finally I had the PB&J creme brulee. This was awesome the brulee was a rich peanut butter and came with peanut brittle and some peanuts on top. There was a little jelly on top too. This was very original and was very tasty. I recommend coming here for a relaxed not frills song experience at good price

We came here for brunch on the weekend. I ordered the Flat Patty Burger. The burger patty was juicy and had so much flavor, and the french fries were delicious. This is one of the best meals we had in Boston! I can't recommend this place enough!

What a great find this was for me. Just randomly saw this place during a Google search, viewed the menu, and away I went. Arrived a little before 8pm and easily found a seat at the bar. The bartender greeted me right away. I stayed away from the alcohol this night and asked if they brewed tea. I'm not sure if it's a Boston thing, but this is the 2nd place that only had "tea" out of the gun. We all know that's not real tea. So, I just stuck with a water. I opted for 3 smaller food items instead of going for a full entrée meal. I ordered the deviled eggs, chicken empanadas, and the corn & sausage chowder. Everything was excellent. I'm a snob when it comes to deviled eggs. Were they the best? No. But they had flavor. Could have used a little more mustard and could have been a tad more creamy. I would still recommend. The empanadas were what you would expect. Perfectly cooked. Great seasoning on the chicken and the accompanying sauces were just what it needed. And the soup? This was really good. The sausage had a small spicy kick. Typical corn chowder taste. My only complaint is that I would have preferred this soup to be thicker. It was very thin. But that did not take away from the overall flavor. The soup also comes with a warm bleu cheese biscuit, which was a perfect addition. This place does have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor would be perfect for a date night. I'm glad I took the chance on this place.

Perfectly made and strong selection cocktail menu (haven't had one here i didn't like)! Comfort food is always made to perfection. The cheese it appetizer is simple and a must that I crave every time. Have had a excellent brunch here too! Great service.

Nice enough but kind of a strange operation. I was surprised to find reservations the day before for 6 people. The restaurant is quite large, and has an open style kitchen. We were surprised to see there weren't many people there, most brunch spots are pretty packed. Our waiter was nice but must have been new. He didn't seem to know the specials and we had to ask him for them. A few people ordered coffee and one asked for non dairy creamer. He had no idea what we were talking about so they suggested oat, almond etc and he just had a blank stare on his face. On the topic of coffee, when someone wanted a refill, the waiter would take their cup away instead of bringing a pot or carafe to refill.They were very accommodating with substitutions which was nice, but the food was average. The fried chicken is advertised as a chicken thigh, but it was a chicken cutlet. Tater tots were your standard freezer brand. The breakfast potatoes had an unexpected kick to them and were too spicy for one of our guests. The cheese sauce is also generic premade.

I work nearby, so I have visited several times.The drinks and food are pretty good. The service, however, is verrrry slow, and more than once I was slightly concerned they had forgotten about my table (maybe it's me? totally possible).Stillwater is conveniently located between the Financial District and Chinatown. The location and ambiance are nice, I just wish the service matched, because I really want to love this place.

The service was excellent and the food and cocktails even better.My Salad was delicious. The mix of ingredients were so well balanced i would rank it the best salad I've ever had.My rhubarb negroni was a terrific twist on a standard negroni.
