Steve's Bite

Great little sandwich spot! I stopped here while visiting and had an Italian Beef sandwich that was incredible! I also tried their homemade chili and was super impressed! If you're in the area and looking for a good sandwich at a reasonable price, look no further!

The customer service here is horrible and especially cashier Ibrahim. He is pompous and very negative. The rice and salmon is very good. The prices are high overall. I paid $27.80 for (1) chicken breast, (1) pita bread, (10) boneless wings & (1) side of fries. The only reason came here was Harold's had a line. There are some tables for dining available.

I'm so mad that I did not find Steve's bite when I first got into the area. Only complaint is that the space is a small store front with only 4 tables. However they rotated people thru pretty efficiently. Was guidedby the friendly counter attendant to get the Italian beef and she was 100% on the money. It had a great flavor and had a good level of spice. Only took about 5 minutes to get my order and they were pretty busy. Oh ya my fries were hot and crispy, just how they are supposed to be. Next time I am at the Mc Cormick center I will walk the .4 miles to visit Steve's again.

I'm not sure but it seems like they've changed the sandwiches. They were served open faced with lots more meat, sauce, cheese. Idk but I want the old thing back

It's me again. Me & Wifey went here today looking for a eggroll they serve that you can't get anywhere else here. We went especially for the Gyro Eggrolls! Entering it wasn't busy at all. The hostess was pretty dry and it's a shame that she's the first person to set the tone of your experience. She sucked! Sometimes the service can make you or break you. But the good thing about bad costumer is I don't have to leave a tip! I don't tip bad service. They get a 1/10 for service.We ordered the Falafel salad, salmon rice bowl, Buffalo egg-rolls & Gyro egg-rolls.My wife liked the falafel balls and the salad was very fresh. They gave her ranch dressing and my wife hates ranch dressing. They didn't have a choice of dressings. 7/10 for the salad.The Salmon Rice bowl wasn't really a rice bowl. It was some flavorful rice & salmon with a garden salad( that they did dress with oil, lemon & oregano. The salmon was kinda dry. The dish was very basic, straight up and down no special effects. 4.7/10The Buffalo Chicken Egg-rolls were decent. Nice Buffalo sauce flavor and the size was on point. They gave us ranch & marinara sauce for dipping sauces. Blue cheese would've been better. All in all they were pretty good. 7.3/10Now the Gyro Egg-rolls the reason for the visit. Let me tell you these things are fire!!! Filled with Gyro meat, cheese, tomatoes & onions. They give you a side of tzatziki sauce for dipping. They taste like a mini gyro! And they too are a nice size. I'll go back just for these. 8.7/10All in all I'll give them a solid 6.7/10(Remember all reviews are subjective)

I love a halal eatery. The chicken sandwich was amazing , especially after a day of travel and quick to get food. Not from the area so I always like to try local spots. Perfect

they are FAST. much better option than the overpriced papa john's next door. tried the gyro egg roll. coming back for the gryo bowl!!!

Service was fast and food was great. Not sure if this is a chain in Chicago, but felt like a hole in the wall vibe wise -- and again, food was awesome!

I will NEVER again put my hard earned money into this place. I ordered lunch for the office, the pregnant co-worker's lunch was not in the bag. I phoned back and was in a full fledge back and forth with the front counter lady, telling me she pack the bag herself...she knows she put that order in the bag. Mid sentence she says Oh, it's right here and that i can come back and get it. I told her I paid for it and had already been there(mind you, they deliver) I told her I used my lunch break to pick up the first order. They said NO!!! they couldn't bring it to us. What horrible business practices. We had to share out lunch with the coworker without lunch. I had to pick it up when I got off work. There are to many restaurants in the South Loop that I will gladly spend my money at.

Service was great and welcoming. She was more than happy to make suggestions and tell me her favorite orders. The Italian beef sandwich had great flavor, and soaked in the jus - incredible. I wish the egg rolls were a bit more crispy, but overall had a nice crunch and were very flavorful. The dining area is quite small, but it's a welcoming environment and a fun place to grab some lunch. I'll be back!
