Finally got to try out Steamy Piggy and we were pleased with what we ate. The menu has great options and was difficult for me to decide. Also we happen to arrive during happy hour which was cool. Tim is super cool and quick to help! Would definitely come back to try the other items.

The food we had included spicy ramen, steamy piggy ramen, kimchi bulgogi fries, steamy piggy bao (which is filled with custard), plum soju, passion punch, and passion fruit juice. Everything was so delicious. Just remember, there's a kick to the fries because of the kimchi, but they are crispy and yummy! It's not cheap, but definitely worth it. The servers are amazing and the atmosphere is impeccable. Love it!From our first date at this table in this restaurant to now happily married--this place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I really like this place. Great fusion food. The chicken roll is mouth watering. My only tiny complaint is the parking. Lot is WAY too tiny for how many businesses there are. Also wish they had more seating/less wait.

Food is tasty, will return to try other things. Shrimp dumplings had good flavor but the skin tore and came broken.Service was attentive, great casual energy and they checked on us frequently.Parking is tough but coming during an off peak time worked for us!

Cute place in convoy area. Came here with some out of towners that had this on their list of foods to try in san diegoFood: Chicken roll: used scallion pancake as the base, chicken cheese and sauce. It was filling. I probably would try the bulgogi next time if we comeBraised pork belly over rice: reminded me of pork adobo (filipino style) but sweeter. The meat to rice ratio was very generous which surprised me. Not on menu: popcorn chicken - wanted to order for my little one and they were able to accommodate which I appreciated. There wasn't anything that stood out in terms of flavor for the popcorn chicken, but still tasted good. Ambiance: they have a few tables indoors and longer tables outside (it is shaded). We were a party of 8 (6 adults, 2 small babies) and we occupied the long table. Recommend calling ahead of time to make a reservation if you have a large party. Service: everyone was nice. There was a mixup in our reservation but they handled it well. I was worried we would've had to be put on the waiting list but im the end, they sat us right away. Parking can be a struggle since this restaurant shares a parking lot with other places. You are lucky if you find one in the parking lot. Alternative would be street parking or another nearby lot.

Luckily we came in when there was no wait at all for a table. Waiters were pretty nice and checked in on us often. We got the spicy wontons, soup dumplings, stewed pork belly, beef chow fun, the chicken wings and the piggy baos. All of it was great, except the chicken wings--those somehow tasted like nothing, which perplexed all of us, and were the only things we didn't finish. We also got the lychee lemonade which was delicious!

Excellent food! We came in a Sunday for lunch and waited about 10 minutes. The food came out quickly and every dish was better than the last. The vais are good but extremely messy. No wet wipes though. The roll was so good. A bit on the greasy side though. The best was the pork. So much flavor. It was a lot of food too! We took the leftovers home and had it for dinner. The decor is nice, service was ok. I'll be back!

We debated where to go for dinner and settled on this place. When we got there the parking lot was full. We parked a block away. When we entered there was a 19-35 min wait. We entered our name on the iPad waiting list. Luckily, it was just the two of us so we got a table in under 20 minutes. We were seated and given ice water. We were seated outdoors but it was mostly enclosed and the day was getting cooler. The menu is a QR Code. We ordered the piggy taco, piggy bao, bulgogi bao, chicken bao, and salt n pepper chicken wings. The piggy taco and bao both used fatty pork belly. I really liked it but the fat texture might be off putting to some people. The chicken boa is fried chicken, very crispy, and the bulgogi isn't very sweet. I really liked the chicken wings very much. It was hot, crispy, and slight hint of spice. I can see why this place gets such high marks.

Our first visit to steamy piggy exceeded expectations, the patio is lovely and shaded. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and Stephen our server was very attentive and helpful. Definitely will be returning!

You have to try this place!!!! The ambiance of the outside dining area is well put together and creates an environment that makes eating at Steamy Piggy incredibly enjoyable! The staff were very accommodating and provided exceptional service. I had the chance to try their bulgogi chow mien and spicy ramen.. it did not disappoint! Give this place a shot while in Convoy, you will not regret it.
