Sitting at Geodis after Dash the Castle and had to RAVE about the best sandwiches.I didn't run - my husband did and he doesn't get to cheat often and was waiting for a sandwich after the race and it did not disappoint! He doesn't like coleslaw but got the Cuban South and said he could eat the coleslaw with that sauce on it any time! It was so good. Cuban-like without being a hot pressed sandwich and was perfect cheat after the dash.I got the Alabama white chicken and WHEW- it was PACKED with flavor! It was tender chicken, the sauce was flavorful, and the bread was perfect. These are huge sandwiches and don't need a side but I got cucumber and watermelon salad (I wanted a little salt so some feta would be nice but not sad at all)!! So so good and well worth all of it!!

My 2020 review is below. After that is my updated review.Steaming Goat was one of the food trucks at Smyrna HS's Prom. I'm faculty there, so I got to try it. I was familiar with the other trucks, but was familiar with their fare and thought I would try something new. I'm glad I did.On the way there, I noticed a serving at a table and it looked great.I had the Cuba Southern and it was a great choice. Pulled pork with ham, cole slaw and a wonderful sauce. The pulled pork had a nice texture and flavor. The ham and cole slaw added nicely and the roll was great. If I find them again, I will try something else, for certain.4/27/24Looking at my review from several years ago, I said that if I came across them again, I would try them. That was then, a catered affair. This is now, the truck. Well, now, they appeared at the Nashville Zoo's fundraiser, "Sips for Species". My remembrance of the previous experience is now front and center and things are as good as before. In the middle of Passover, this was the only truck at the event my wife would even try. They were very nice in accommodating her by making her sandwich choice served on a bed of greens instead of a roll. She was very happy. She had the Veggie Italiano and totally enjoyed it. I had the steak sandwich. I would love to give you the name of it, but a search of their menu did not reveal it. Sigh. Their menu changes often. My review is of a tasting. I had a big snack before we arrived, so I was not hungry. I got something to keep my wife company. I picked at it, but still enjoyed it. The meat was very good with a nice flavor. The vegetables were very nice, but my wife stole them from me when I was full. A mouthful of the roll told me it was very very good. Hopefully, this updated review will remind me in the future to find them again when there is another feeding event.

Real good grub!!At a catered event in Nashville - real friendly folks cooking and serving from the truck! My personal favorites were the pulled pork nachos and the cubano sandwich. The nachos were loaded with pork and tasty bbq sauce - the cubano was in a great bread and just a gut filling flavor bomb!Portions feed 2 normal folks or one slightly inebriated big guy :-)

Bring your appetite! The sandwiches crafted by Steaming Goat food truck are, shall we say, loaded. Overflowing. Substantial. Generous. But most importantly, they are delicious. The owner is super friendly, and clearly creative when it comes to making great sandwiches. And generous with the toppings!Do keep in mind that the menu changes pretty frequently, in large part because they come up with new ideas. So you may not necessarily be able to get the same sandwich twice, but you will always have great options to choose from.Another tip: Make sure to allow a little extra time to peruse the menu of around a dozen sandwiches, each with a fun name. You may find it difficult to choose a sandwich, as so many of them will appeal. And allow a little extra time to eat, because these sandwiches are loaded! And if you're heading off to the park to eat your sandwich, bring plenty of napkins too. ;-)I always love trying out food trucks, and this is my favorite. Check out their website for the schedule (http://www.steaminggoat.com/schedule.html) to find out when and where you can find the Steam Goat food truck. Give them a try and you will not leave even a little bit hungry.

Had the Cuba South and Southwestern Pasta Salad. Both excellent. Cuba South: not a typical Cuban. All the ingredients are there, but presented in an unorthodox, but not undelicious, way. Contrasts sweet with tangy insanely well. Bread stood up to the slaw rather well.Southwestern Pasta Salad: they put remoulade on it. That has to be it. Why has no one done this before??? Genius, delicious, novel twist to the categorically ho-hum side that is pasta salad. Game changer. Also, if you don't know what to get (as I didn't), just ask the guys behind the counter. They won't lead you astray; their recommendation led to one of the best damned food truck lunches I've ever had (for comparison, see El Mero Taco in Memphis). Very reasonably priced, too. Very pleased with the vfilling portion served.

Wow this is one amazing food truck. Great variety of food including healthy options, friendly staff, very fair prices for the quality and serving size and really one of the best "subs" I have enjoyed. Great lunch and hope to enjoy this food truck again.

Had a really good lunch here today! I went with the Buffalo Chicken Salad sliders ($9) and they were fresh and delicious. The chicken salad had tons of fresh chicken and good seasoning. Just the right amount of heat without leaving you with flaming lips. Would visit this truck again anytime.

One of my top 3 favorite food trucks in Nashville. Their sandwiches are mouth watering good and so filling. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming. If you are ever having a hard time picking just ask and they will be happy to recommend their favorites. My go to is the Cuban.

This food truck initially jumped out at us because while stopping to look at the menu, the guy working was funny. We explored options and came back here. My cousin and I split the Cuban sandwich, topped with house made pickles and slaw. These are seriously the only pickles I've ever liked and make the sandwich even more delicious. My cousin drove into town and said this is the best meal she's had in Nashville.
