Steam Boys

Decided to check this location out for lunch since it's so close to my place of work. 5 years ago pre covid I loved the Steamboys in Germantown. One of my favorite places for a bite or two. Unfortunately, this one did not meet my expectations. Maybe it's due to expansion or maybe roots have been lost. I feel like the quality of the food has seen a hit. On Tuesdays, steamboys has all you can eat dumplings. We decided to give this a try. Everything we tried was simply alright. With the all you can eat dumplings you get a choice of pork & cabbage, pork & shrimp, veggie, chicken, and the hot dumpling bowl. You can have them steamed or pan seared. We tried every single choice and unfortunately every single choice felt mediocre. On the bright side, I did order a yogurt jasmine milk tea with tapioca and it was delicious!!! Big RIP :(

Chinese dumplings make for a great snack or you can eat a bunch for a meal. Steam Boys has classic flavors and they are tasty. We always enjoy the boba here.Friedly, laid-back attitude makes for a relaxing meal. Our order was delivered promptly.

Always ordered online but going inside was even better. Staff was really nice, clean setting and worth every penny!

Meh. This is a cute-ish fast service dumpling place. I had 6 vegetarian dumplings - small & filled with just broccoli for 10.50. My daughter had pork bun that one her first bite left her with a mouth full of gristle. The Vietnamese coffee is good, but not good enough to make me ever return.

Best Asian food in Nashville. The food is always so warm and crispy and they make the food super fast definitely a go-to.

We just had our first dining experience at the new Steam Boys location on Harding Place - and our last one too. We ordered two Bao (veggie and pork) and pan-fried pork and cabbage dumplings. With two fruit teas (peach and strawberry) and a 20% tip, our bill came to $40.10. It was definitely not worth it. The buns were bland (too much undercooked dough for the filling provided) and the dumplings were REALLY greasy. The only redeeming feature was the tea -- at $6.00 a cup. At least the service was attentive and polite. I don't understand how this chain has prospered. We will not return to Steam Boys.

Yum!! Perfect for these cold days and nights! Loved the soup and fried dumplings. Next time I'll get some steamed. Great menu!

Got this for takeout so can't comment on the interior. Great soup but thats the only thing I would order from this place or any steam boys for that matter.

Loved it. I had the beef noodle bowl it was very tasty-the only caveat being the noodles were slightly overcooked. The pan fried dumplings were great as was the bao. I'd definitely return.
