Steak n Egger

Absolutely skip this place. The inside is dirty with dead bugs in the dining area. I'm sure they are also in the food prep area. There was a foul odor, almost sewage like. I skipped eating and opted for coffee only while my friends ate. I couldn't bring myself to eat with the dead bugs and foul odor. My friends said the food was below average. How can you screw up bacon, eggs, and toast? Well come here and find out. SKIP IT!

I used to eat here twice a day for years back when it was still Snuffy's in the 90s. The place has changed a LOT since then, but it's still Snuffy's to me. 5*s for the nostalgia and a damn good basic grilled cheese.

Best place to grab some eggs and a cup of Joe! Love the ladies that are serving up the food!

My wife and I came here about a month ago for a late night dinner. I have two major problems with Steak n Egger in McCook.#1 The food was only fair to poor. The mashed potatoes seem like they came out of a powdered box, the vegetables were stale, in the thin steak was very chewy. #2 the biggest problem was that my wife forgot her purse there, and when she realized it, we came back two days later to get it and $70 cash was missing. I don't think our waitress took it because she was very nice, but unfortunately some person went through her purse by the time we got back. Not good. Clearly many people don't have good morals.We won't be back here again as there are many better choices in the LaGrange area.

Absolutely love all steak n eggers. Inexpensive reasonable portions and good tasting food. Don't like drinking my coffee out of styrofoam though. They should ditch the styrofoam EVERYTHING . Styrofoam didn't exist in the fifties. Paper did. Being a purist and all --my only complaint. That's it! Other than that these diners are classic.

Need a quick bite to eat and get back to the hustle this is the place for you. Not overprices, quick friendly service, food tastes good and the place is Clean.. including the silverware & bathrooms. Not huge but cozy, friendly, and piping out fresh hot quality food. Was my 1st time visiting but I will be a customer for life and they 24hrs #score

Salt of the earth nice people & similar food. I called in ~12 off on the Stevie in traffic for a Denver Om' to go and showed up to a friendly cashier & cook. Found an absolute classically good breakfast (@ 8:30pm on a wednesday) when I brought it home & for the best price around town. Haven't dined in, but planning on it when time strikes.

This place is really small, we took the biggest table in the back just for the two of us. Food was good, I ordered the boneless pork chops and 3 eggs and biscuits and gravy and added some hashbrowns on the side. The pork chops came bone in but were very tasty nonetheless, everything was pretty good and the fact that they're open 24/7 is a plus if you're hungry after a night out. Service was decent. Just a neighborhood breakfast joint, they do serve lunch and dinner too. Il

I love this style family run diner. 3 generations keeping the desire to provide fresh and affordable meals alive.Not a huge place, but that keeps the cozy set up hopping. Belly up to the counter and watch the cook in action. Enjoyed my first visit and had to try to chopped bologna 'n eggs. Almost just like Mom used to make, but she would grill the bologna first.They just made the Rt 66 Hall of Fame... this building has been a diner for 90 yrs. Stop by anytime Open 24/7 and free WiFi.

Love this place! Iv heard of them over the years and never been until now. The decor in this diner is fabulous and they are 24/7. I live for a late night diner. Lastly, the food delivers!
