Newly revived and definitely worth a revisit in good 'ol Solana Beach. Haven't been at Station Sushi in quite some time and I can definitely attest that is is worth considering.Food and options are refreshed with enthusiastic hostesses and eagerness to please. My wife and I have been visiting Station Sushi every couple of weeks and appreciate the customer friendly and laidback experience. Good sushi and roll options. Definitely check out the toro chef's special for lunch and dinner. Will not disappoint!

We were able to be seated right away on a Monday night, but our food took a bit longer than we expected. We also had to verbally flag down a waiter in order to get our check after we were done eating, even though our plates were stacked at the edge of the table and we were trying to make eye contact with multiple servers. I know we were in Solana Beach, but I would not classify this as a two dollar sign restaurant. The sushi was good. Nothing special for the elevated price, although some of the rolls were fairly unique they did not sound appealing. Unfortunately we were there on a hot summer night and despite being a shaded patio with fans it was uncomfortably hot. The inside was worse.

Sushi was really good -- it was actually my first time having sushi. I officially consider myself a sushi guy now, so thanks. I had a firecracker roll. Also had a deep fried gyoza, which was new to me. They're usually pan fried, which is an option here too. Deep fried is the way to go! It was actually amazing.Great happy hour prices from 3-530pm Sunday thru Thursday. However, the owner was pretty strict about it. My res was at 5pm; did not get seated until 515. Didn't get to place our food order until 528pm and staff refused to honor the HH prices...only reason for the 3 star.

Did a quick stop before a meeting for a roll. The sushi bar is inside and most of the table seating is outside. Lots of variety of house sushi rolls. A lot to choose from. Have to come back to try more. They accommodated our time constraint and made a delicious salmon roll . Fresh and delicious. Staff friendly and service good. They have happy hour 3-530pm.

It's a Solana Beach staple, worth trying if you're in the neighborhood.Located on Highway 101, Station Sushi serves a range of traditional Japanese entrees, nigiri, sashimi and house speciality sushi rolls. While there's plenty of good sushi in the area, this has always been my go-to when I'm visiting. It can get a bit crowded during peak dine times, but I've never minded. It adds to the smaller, local vibe. Just go with the expectation that there may be a bit of a wait.One of my favorite menu item's is the Sushi Burrito, which includes an assortment of sashimi, lettuce and veggies, wrapped in soy paper. It's about the size of a standard sushi roll, so my wife and I usually split one while we're looking over the menu. PRO TIP:It's a good choice if you're looking to have a drink with your meal or hangout for a post-beach Happy Hour. Beyond beer, wine and sake, they also have a limited cocktail menu.

Highly recommend station sushi! We come here every Friday and on the rare occasion that we cannot make it, we order takeout. The service is great, with the staff very welcoming and friendly. The location is pretty cool with a lot of walk-in customers. Our favorites include salmon sashimi, rainbow roll, and slippery when wet. Simply delicious!!
