Star Lake Inn

My wife and I can here for the first time. She had a beer and I had a 7UP (medical reasons). The place was very friendly. We will come here again.

It's my first time in a dive bar in Federal Way. The only reason why I ended up here is this place is historical and it might get shut down if the owner finds a decent buyer (it used to be a dance hall back in the days). There's not much to expect when you get in because it's really a dive bar. However, the company you get from strangers makes it feel like you're really in a small town. You might have to sit elbow to elbow with polite locals. The service is impeccable. The bartender made sure everyone is taken care of. She's super efficient and very friendly. We went during happy hour and I was surprised our tab was pretty cheap for a bottle of beer and glass of wine. The drawback is still the place itself. Bathrooms stalls are tiny. I guess it deters anyone from over drinking or you might just get flushed in the toilet.

This place although is hiden when dark, and is below what used to be a hotel... Its not bad, the bartender is great, she pours just right. And the view is beautiful.

Went here last Friday night. The locals watering "Hole" for sure. The locals are great!! The bar is definitely dive and the food was not so good. We didn't even try to eat half of it. We ordered a pitcher of beer on special and ordered another one when friends came in. The second pitcher that came out wasn't the same beer as before. Really did not like this at all. The energy was off in this place though. The place needs to be deep cleaned, a little dirty, for even a dive bar. Took a while to order our food, and took an i long time to get "bar food". Not a place I'd frequent..

Had fun in the past. Got good pizza if you can get the bar tender to make you one. Very clicky with the locals even though this bar is the closest to my house. Day time bartender has short rude, lack of customer service skills with 0 personality skills. Nice view of the lake. Won't be back. Hey I like dive bars not this one though.

So glad I'm able to come see my friends again. Surroundings are awesome here and food is great. Overlook the lake while you sip some good local drafts.

This is a great dive bar from the 1890's. Great service most of the time, great place to hangout

Honestly was not sure just what to rate this establishment. Dive bar? Yeah it's to a T. Probably better during the summer with a view of the lake behind it. During a cold fall night? Just dingy. It looks like it's falling apart. The kitchen, if you call it that, should be shut down. The service? Ehhh it's a dive bar.barely a soul except for some people from the neighborhood, you'll understand if you go. And some others who thought it was wise to get into it with the tree trunk of a bartender, who didn't last long. Long story short? Complete and utter sh*t hole but great dive bar.

Dive Bars are awesome ... this one is NOT! You stick to the floor when you walk, there are literally spider webs hanging everywhere, bathrooms are never clean, makes me wonder how sanitary the drinking glasses are (should probably stick to bottles or cans)! Now for the bartenders ... attitude overload! There was one (Judy) that was great but evidently she went elsewhere. Hands down the worst (Alisha) thankfully only works occasionally now ... she is a total beeotch! Can't smile or make a drink to save her life! A few others are friendly tho (depending on the night)! Food is terrible HOWEVER I would recommend the French Dip believe it or not. Lots of other watering holes that won't give you the heebie jeebies! RUN!!!

Great little dive bar with a killer view of the lake if that's what you are looking for. Nice spread out tables during COVID if you dine in, and the staff makes sure everyone is masked up when not at a table.I wish they had wifi, but other than that good prices.
