Duck with Black Pepper Sauce. Not a fan. The skin was too chewy and the overall taste a little too gamey.

Thai Iced Tea. Good amount of sweetness.

Our table in the back for our big party. They accommodated at the last minute!
Spicy Khee Mao Noodles. Another spicy dish which overpowered the flavor at times, but still nicely done.

Did a group lunch here and at the last minute, they were able to accommodate a group of 16 people for lunch on a week day. #blessed #wewerethatobnoxiouslargeparty THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Fried Gyoza | Crispy shell filled with meats. A nice sweet, acidic sauce accompanies this appetizer. Recommend trying this out. - Pad See Ew | Ordered it with tofu and chicken, and while the tofu was great with a soft, tender consistency, the chicken was a little on the dry side. I asked for the Pad See Ew to have some spice and they brought it! Make sure you have some water if you're going spicy. Otherwise, this was a solid dish. - Duck with Black Pepper Sauce| Not a fan. The skin was too chewy and the overall taste a little too gamey. - Spicy Khee Mao Noodles | Another spicy dish which overpowered the flavor at times, but still nicely done. THE DRINKS DRUNK. - Thai Iced Tea | Good amount of sweetness. THE VIBE EVOCATION. Bright and clean. The restaurant is narrow and extends back to accommodate bigger parties. Our wait staff were attentive and frequently came around to ensure we had what we needed. THE PARKING AFFAIR.Free parking but you have to actually find it. Don't stop believing. THE RESERVATION DETERMINATION. No reservations needed but you should probably call ahead of time if you have a big party. THE RETURN QUANDARY. Yep, I'd return for more Pad See Ew, but maybe go easy on the spice!

Post-pandemic they've gone downhill. They can not get a delivery order correct. Today I got a Chicken Satay Salad, which should have been: lettuce, grilled marinated chicken, tomato, cucumber, and peanut dressing. What I got: lettuce and chicken. That's it.How do you mess up making a simple salad??

We had the pad se ew and pad Thai. One with chicken and one with shrimp, the shrimp was good sized and the flavor on both was great. Good sized portions and we sat outside and the food was very fast. Our waiter was great, overall very good and will be coming back!

Star Anise Thai Cuisine is a restaurant serving Thai dishes and beverages in a clean and refined atmosphere. It can get a bit noisy as there are many hard surfaces that reflect sound and not enough soft surfaces to cushion the decibels.FOOD4/5 potsticker:Crispy with a satisfying chicken filling. 3/5 Duck with Pepper Sauce:Recommended by my waiter, this dish was served lukewarm with the celery not having a crisp texture, which makes me think that portion wasn't made fresh. The sliced duck was presented nicely, but was just okay on flavor and portions.4/5 Noodle dishes: I was able to sample the flat noodle dishes from coworkers and have to say they were tasty and looked freshly made.SERVICEEveryone else at my table seemed very happy with their noodle/rice dishes and spice levels so maybe that's worth a try another time.PARKINGPlentiful, although the spots may be a bit compact.

Loved the Pad Thai here... the flavors were very well balanced and the noodles were delightfully al dente. Lot of crab options on this menu if you're a seafood connoisseur. That being said, expect to pay a heftier price tag; this place is more expensive than other Thai spots.

We are pretty particular about the taste and texture of our Pad Thai so we're pretty lucky to live so close by. Pad Thai noodles are al dente with good flavor. I also like all of their fried rice choices. Service is pretty fast too.

This Thai restaurant is very close to my place. I went there a long time ago and ordered a papaya salad, which is one of my favorites in Thai cuisine. However, I felt that their version was pretty average, so I hadn't returned for a while. But the second visit pleasantly surprised me! For a restaurant right around the corner, their quality is definitely making me consider coming back. The strengths of this place are quite apparent:Generous portions, great value for money, quiet and clean ambiance, flavors that deserve a 7.5 out of 10 rating. The regular price for a main dish is around $15, and even if you order a few dishes, the average cost won't exceed $30.I recommend the new dishes we tried this time:1. Nam Sod SaladIt combines minced chicken, crushed peanuts, onions, mint, and ginger, all seasoned with a Thai twist. The base is lettuce. This salad is all about being fresh and zesty. We wrapped it in the lettuce leaves, giving it a kind of Northeastern-style "rice wrap" sensation. The salad is rich in flavors, packed with protein. The ginger, garlic, and chili add a subtle spiciness, balanced by the delicate sweet-sour notes of lime juice. The crushed peanuts add a wonderful texture. Highly recommended to try; if you're not a fan of ginger, you can ask for less or none.2. Panang Chicken CurryOne of the classic Thai curries. I felt that Panang was even better than the green curry I had here last time - more flavorful and rich. We chose medium spiciness, but it didn't seem very spicy. You can choose your protein; I usually prefer chicken. The chicken slices in this bowl are large and tender, not tough at all. The accompanying vegetables are also delicious. The rice served with it has a coconut aroma - a big thumbs up!3. Spicy Kee-Mao NoodlesNot much different from Pad Thai, mainly in the width of the noodles. Kee-Mao noodles are wide rice noodles. The stir-fry here is excellent, not overly oily, with a great balance of sweet and sour, and not too spicy. Again, you can choose your protein. We chose beef for this dish, which was also quite generous, but a bit challenging to chew. The flavor is still great, though - very satisfying.4. Tom Kha SoupCompared to Tom Yum Goong, I've always preferred this coconut-based Tom Kha soup. Its uniqueness lies in its rich coconut fragrance, with the other sour and spicy flavors blending harmoniously. The ingredients in the soup are plentiful - I ordered a small bowl, but there were at least four shrimp in it, along with plenty of mushrooms. It's incredibly aromatic and flavorful. If you're drinking it in the winter, it's even more suitable.
