Stanwood Grill

Salmon was dry (over cooked) menu stated asparagus but came with green beans in the rissito we were very disappointed as in the past we had great meals, our meal took a long time to receive after we ordered as we watched other tables being served arriving after us. We didn't complain but our waitress was very attentive and comp us a round of drinks.

Wish we had tried this restaurant long ago. We've been missing out! Interesting and creative menu. Service was sadly less than great, but friendly - like many places, I think they are a bit short-staffed. The food we had was really very good, and we will absolutely give them another go!

I've been waiting months to eat at Stanwood Grill and finally had my chance this week. Located in East Downtown, this is one of the fancier places in town for a treat yourself on the town. Reservations are a good idea on busier nights. If you arrive early, check out the shops nearby. For an appetizer I ordered the fried calamari. Tender, lightly breaded and crispy pieces served with a slightly spicy dipping sauce. This was done really well!Now, I don't normally rave about a house salad but this was a nice mix of spring greens, tomatoes, and cucumber spears. Highly recommend the smoked shallot vinaigrette dressing, which is apparently the sauce they use for the coleslaw too. I may get fish and chips next time just to try that.I must have had the largest pork chop ever served in my life, more than the 12oz expected. Done to a juicy medium, it cut like butter and melted easily in the mouth. Seasoned perfectly with a Dijon-white balsamic glaze served on a bed of roasted yams and some type of vegetable - forgive me I am not sure if it was some type of onion and it was crispy. Great place for a special event or treat yourself right, you deserve it!

Stanwood grill is a go to if your looking for a pork chop. Theirs is a Berkshire chop and they know exactly how to cook it. Always consultant and delish. I'm not a fan of their potatoes, which are scalloped. In my opinion they are meh. Service is always excellent. They are attentive and keep the cocktails coming. Highly recommend.

I haven't been to this place in a long time and I thought I will give it a try. Service was better than before, but the food is so bland and overpriced. I had pasta for $29, with burnt chicken and absolutely tasteless sauce. The drinks were not that good either. Not coming back.

What a charming place with excellent service and yummy food! Pork chops, fish tacos and burgers!

Our friends Suggested the Stanwood Grill when we were planning dinner. We had a terrific waitress who gave us great service. Husband ordered the Manhattan Steak which was one of the best steaks we've had! It was a special but next time we returned it is on their new menu!! I had grilled prawns with risotto and enjoyed the prawns but for me the risotto sauce was too sweet. Our friend had the knife and fork taco with salmon and loved it, and the pork chop which got rave reviews! This will definitely be a regular place for us! We didn't think it was any more expensive than any other fine dining restaurant.

Have been meaning to try this out for date night for an eternity and we finally had time to dress up. Went in during a heat wave and the interior was sooooo fantastically cooked down. Yummy adult drinks Perfectly cooked fillet ( like you ask medium rare and it comes out pretty in pink )Delicious fresh ahi Beautiful quiet interior Attentive staff Honestly the perfect date night escape for us.

Food was good but very high priced! Ambiance was nice but it's way overpriced. The waitress was nice but was very busy!

We went to Stanwood grille for the first time tonight. The highlight was our server who was very friendly and worked hard to give us a good experience. The service was the highlight of our evening. The food was not good; the sauce on the steak was overpowering and one of our steaks wasn't cooked to our request. Our drinks were fair and after leaving we had spent over $100 on 3 fair meals. We didn't complain because of the good service but we would recommend going elsewhere if you want a special dinner out.
