Stan's Donuts & Coffee

I did a large online order (for a work event) and Stan's did a great job! All the donuts were fresh and tasty, everyone was happy. I also live very close by and I've been in the store many times and love their donuts and lattes.

This Stan's location is adjacent to the Roosevelt CTA stop. I first went in because their birthday freebie via the app is incredible. Not limited to this location - the free half dozen birthday donuts is a great perk. I really appreciated how great the service was by the young man who helped me with the order and how well-managed the long line of customers was. They do become busy in the morning, but they make it work so well. It's a smaller location, but I have never walked by and seen all seats taken.

We stumbled across this shop while looking for another that ended up being closed. We were so happy with our decision to give it a try. Coffee was great and fresh. Donut was the best we have ever had.... EVER. And great little shop to sit, warm up and people watch from the window. Croissant was airy and flaky: so delicious. So many donut options. Great place for breakfast and they open at 6am

On a recent trip to Chicago, I found myself visiting Stan's Donuts daily. You have to get there early, because they sell out of some popular flavors early. The donuts are a little pricy, but the quality was excellent and service prompt and friendly despite the long lines. I tried all the donut types including jelly and custard filled, cinnamon rolls, twists, buttermilk, cake and apple fritters, but my absolute favorite was the lemon pistachio old fashioned. I'd come back for this every day if I could, I enjoyed that much.

Yet another instance where I wish half stars were allowed.... THE GOOD: The concept is great! who doesn't love a filled donut?? The flavors were all delectable, we tried the cherry vanilla, the Biscoff cookie, the nutella, and the lemon blueberry. Chucks of fruit and filling in nearly every bite!THE BAD: By the time we arrived (mid-afternoon) the selection was limited (which is fine, that's the sign of a good donut, right?) and some of the donuts were already somewhat stale. I'm not from the area, so I'm not sure how long they should stay soft and fresh, but a couple of the ones we tried seemed almost day old. THE UGLY: the trashes were full and needing to be emptied, none of the tables had been cleaned or wiped. The door was left open, which was not a big deal, it was a nice day, except it invited flies and a bird - that the employees were trying to chase out with a broom and ended up knocking huge clumps of dust from the ceiling while people were eating. ew. Overall, I would try Stan's again, I love this concept for donuts - I would just be sure to try to arrive early enough to have a better selection and not run the risk that items have sat for an extented period of time.

Nice menu selection but the donuts were kind of mid :/. I tried the Nutella, cookie butter, and lemon blueberry. While the filling and frosting were yummy, I felt that the actual dough was slightly sour.

I thought these donuts were quite enjoyable. Given I had a few days in Chicago, I decided to get a half dozen so I could space out my breakfast experience with these donuts for the whole trip. It worked and I probably got fatter as a result of course. Ended up getting a half dozen specialty. Why just get original standard when you're already at a specialized donut shop? A little under $20 for 6 donuts which is hefty but the way it is these days for major city hipster donuts. But the choices that I picked with the specialty were all delicious and I'm sure you'd enjoy it as well. Nice staff at this location and arrived soon after they opened and not too packed at all.

For a Tuesday morning around 8 am it was not busy at all. It had cute floral tile details and other fun details throughout the shop. I got a Carmel iced latte, the Stanwich, hashbrown, and a blueberry old fashioned donut. It took a little longer than I expected being 1 of 3 customers there but it all ended up being really good. The ice coffee was a good amount of flavor and coffee, the stanwich was hot and the egg on it was fluffy and cage-free, the hashbrown was nice and crispy, and the donut had a hard outside layer and soft cake donut inside. I noticed while I was eating that many people were leaving with multiple boxes so they too would agree the donuts especially were really good.

The girls were super patient with us as we took a while to choose donuts and coffee. The strawberry bismark was delicious! You cannot go wrong with it. The iced coffee was a little strong but good overall too.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee and food items. The person who helped me recommended the cruffin which is similar to a cronut
