Stacy's Off Da Hook BBQ and Soul Food

First came to this place in 2019 and I'm still visiting it in 2024. I stand behind this "I believe that this is the best soul food in all of AZ". Yup, that's right I said it the best in AZ. I haven't had anything from here that wasn't absolutely tasty. My favorite dish is still the catfish meal with greens and mac n cheese. Walking out of this fine establishment I'm ready and in need of a nap.

Came home one day and my friend had someone bring him food from here. It was amazing. The ribs were probably the best I've had and the catfish was amazing. It was so good we went for lunch again the next day. The owner was there and spoke to us at the table. We felt very welcome and again the food was amazing. I highly recommend this place!

I've known Off the Hook Soul food since I personally discovered it in 2014. I've never been dissatisfied I recommend this one due to the fact that there are other Melenated Visionaries in Soul Food here in Phoenix that have Lost their way when it comes to Service And Love.. I'm only speaking of one Family and all they are about is Optics Popular Opinion.The Catfish is Wonderful and done right for its prices, being that there are 2 options: the Filet dinner and the Nuggets Dinner. I would also recommend that you get the chicken!The Kool-aid service Can Improve because Kool-aid Corp itself has Evolved in Food Service and now offer Businesses Upgraded Dispensers with at least 3 new flavors outside of Grape, Orange, the Legendary Fruit Punch and Blue Raspberry.You gotta Go after 12:30 pm and get there before 7:00pmHe's not open Mondays.

Maaaan, I just flat weeded a whole plate of ox tails on a bed of rice and gravy, fried okra, corn bread muffin, and mac n cheese. Washed it down with the blue Kool-Aid and had to order a 1/4 elbow of pulled pork halfa elbow of links and some peach cobbler to take home for tomorrow. For a single man with no kids, or anyone else for that matter, you don't feel like cookin, go here or call your order in cuz this s#%! poppin. Don't sleep on Stacy's Off da Hook, Off Da Chain or whatever else sposed to be on......this food is off of it.

This place can be missed with the blink of an eye. It sets next to a car repair place and a small apt complex. Just wanted to try something. I decided on a 1/2 pound of Rib tips! They are one of my favorites if done right! The tips were good. Only thing I can say is I did ask the young man at the counter if they came with sauce already on them he said No! It will be on the side. I actually didn't want any! Okay that will work. 15 minutes later i got my Rip tips and they were fully sauced! Eyeroll! Oh well they were still pretty darn good. I just wanted to try the seasonings they use to start off the meat! Next time I will make sure. No sauce

The food is Great!!! I'll recommend it to everyone. I'm from Florida and miss the soul food and stumble across Stacey's which made me feel at home

Just tried this restaurant since my husband has been wanting to go to try the ox-tails. He was very happy. The greens were good. Loved the okra. Cornbread muffin is good. We'll have to give this one another visit and try some more things.

Absolutely great BBQ and service! Very kind family owned business with great food. Good BBQ doesn't even require any sauce and they go it - sauce is just a plus.

I visited this place a few days ago for lunch. I've passed by it a few times and seen that they had good reviews. I was in the area, and decided to give them a try. Everything on the menu sounded good. So, it was hard to pick what I wanted. But, I decided to go with the 3-wing meal with two sides. For my 2 sides I got fried okra and Mac n cheese. I was pleased to see fried okra on the menu, as you don't see that often on menus. The meal also came with a cornbread muffin. No drink though! You gotta order that separately.While waiting, I looked around and listened to the music. He was playing artists like The Isley Brothers, The Gap Band, and The Temptations. I really enjoyed the music. I reminded me of when I would dine-out with my grandparents. So, it was a very homey feel. The TV was also on, I think Law & Order was showing (something my grannie always watched lol). But, my meal didn't take too long to make. There were 3 people ahead of me; it took maybe about 15-mins to get my food. The man that was taking the orders also served me my order. I'm not sure if that man was the owner or not? He was the only person there... So, I'm assuming he was the owner lolBut, my food was hot and ready! Everything was cooked to perfection. I'm picky when it comes to fried chicken, so I rarely order it at restaurants I haven't been to. I would instead get chicken tenders or something "safe" like that. But, I figured it was a black-owned restaurant, so, it should be good! Lol and I was right! The fried chicken was a 5/5! Nice & crispy and great flavor (I didn't have to put much hot sauce on it, as it tasted good as-is). And, the fried okra and Mac and cheese were great as well! I'm just really glad I liked the fried chicken lol because like I said, I'm picky when it comes to that. So, I would've been mad lol but I was a happy camper!The meal was a good portion of food. So, I had food to-go! I thanked the man and told him that I loved my meal! He was pleased! But, I'll definitely be visiting again!

I ordered from here with great expectations, and sadly, that went down the drain when I got my meal. I ordered the fried chicken with the side of Red Beans and rice and Mac and Cheese. I ate a spoon of the Rice and beans, which were tender and well cooked. Unfortunately, the seasoning was off. If they had some spice to them, they would have been good. Next was the Muffin. It was OK, but it was bland and would have benefited from some butter, honey, or anything to offset the bland taste. They would be better off just giving a Hawaiian sweet roll. Next was the Mac and Cheese. That was terrible. They should stop serving Mac and Cheese. The insult to Mac and Cheese is unforgivable. Finally, I ate the chicken. It was Seasoned right, and had the skin been crispy as it should be, it would be good. But it's a soul food place, and there is no soul in the food.
