This bar made me feel at home! The staff / bartender was very inviting, and so were the other patrons. Due to the Covid "scamdemic", only outside seating was available with the purchase of food. That wasn't a problem for me. Spring Valley Inn Cocktail Bar offered covered seating, misters, and fans. The drinks were priced decent, pretty cheap compared to most other San Diego drinking holes, and there was plenty of parking available.Nobody batted an eye when I decided to dance, and other patrons joined in.The crowd was diverse, and fun to hang out with. I wasn't "scared" even though people say dive bars can be sketchy - I have the most fun. Would I go back again?Absolutely, it felt like the Spring Valley version if Cheers!REASONS TO VISIT:1. Great prices2. Friendly staff3. Plenty of parking4. Pool table and darts (available when not stuck with Commifornia pandemic rules)

I came here Sunday morning with a couple of friends for bloody mary's based on a recommendation from another friends. This is a dive bar. Reminded me of Cheers ~ everyone knew everyone's name and they were very friendly & welcoming. One of the patrons let us know they were doing ~ buy one drink get the second for $1 as we walked to a table. WHAT?!? That's awesome!!! I should have asked if that was everyday or just Sunday. My bad. They make/sell breakfast on Sunday for $5 from 10am until they run out or everyone has eaten. Today was biscuits & gravy, potatoes, eggs and a grilled pork chop with apples ~ mmmmmm!! The biscuits were made from scratch, everything was delicious. The bloody mary was beautiful and was good. Our tab was $17 for 5 bloody mary's ~ we got the second round in before 11. Did I mention how friendly everyone was???This is now my go to spot when I want to stay close to home ~ close enough I could walk if I needed to.

Today I met up with Karyn here. I love dive bars where: -the Happy Hour is 2 for $5 Wells and $5 domestic pitchers w/ chill-dos (ice dildos)?-it smells like urine as soon as you walk in (adds to the authenticity )-clean restrooms-magic mic karaoke on Fridays-a super friendly dog in the bar-they also carry Hot Spot lotto tix! Go figure *shrugs*-really nice bikers Thanks for recommending it, Sarah! *muah*

Typical east county dive bar. I've heard mention of this being a biker bar but I have yet to see that clientele. Cheap drinks, stiff pours, friendly bartender. I will add this place to my list for those nights I don't feel like straying too far from home for a bevvie or two.

This place is a great example of your local dive bar. Super friendly bartender Lisa made some incredible drinks that were reasonably priced and tasted and looked amazing. Thanks so much. We will be back.

On the danger-scale I'd put my experience at the Springer right up there with skydiving into a junkyard then getting chased by a Rottweiler. When I say 'dangerous' I mean that in a good way. I like thrill-rides. If you ended up here you probably do too. You may see a rocker or two. I once saw a Santa Claus-looking-dude next to the back door closely monitoring the tension in the atmosphere just make sure no territorial conflicts arise. At the end of the bar, sat a sunburned and ponytailed construction worker with a t-shirt that read 'No Spiders'. I'm not sure what biker-lingo that is but he was mean-mugging everyone like he really wanted to kill some insects. Oh, and don't forget the old dog laying by the door that's trained to attack...sometimes...Yet, even with all of that, inexplicably, there's still a lot of love in the air.So if you like old souls, stale Winston smoke, steaming nacho cheese sauce served out of late-70's-edition Crock-Pot atop a weathered pool table, nicotine-stained-beards, and funny scars, you're in the right place. Feel your shoes stick to the linoleum as you sludge to a creaking bar stool that doesn't quite sit flush with the floor. Wood paneling and sun-bleached Dale Earnhardt hats greet you with warmth.Pours are stiff and cheap (2.75 for Bud, 4 for Coronas). Vibe is dark, and the bartenders are tough but tender...meaning they'll beat you at an arm-wrestling contest. I'll muster up the courage to come back soon.Parking is ok. Get the bloody mary. Its awesome.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E88HEuwInno

From the first time I went there they made me feel like it was home. I can't tell you how happy it is to walk into a bar, as a stranger, and not feel weird or watched or judged. Just have a really good time. This is the place to play game of pool, some darts or sit out back around the fire pits, smoke, have a good conversation or.... You can stay inside sing your ass off and play Bar bingo. Penty of TVs to watch what sports you want and the bartenders are great too, Should definitely be higher than number 6! Singing is not the only thing that's important when it comes to karaoke

I decided to check out this bar because it had good reviews and karaoke. I go inside with my friends and it was turning out great, the customers were delightful, karaoke was being sung. I go to the bartender (Caucasian, older female) and ordered my drink, and my friend also ordered her drink. While my friend ordered her drink, she asked the bartender what does she recommended. The bartender gave her a rude comment and laughed in her face. Then she asked what kind it drinks are available and the bartender remarks "beer, wine, liquor" . After giving her the money for the order, she looks me in the eye and slams it on the counter. I usually tip, even if I have bad service, but I couldn't forgive her rudeness and decided she deserved nothing. We didn't finish our drinks because she kept staring and giving us a dirty look.
