The best place to go for AYCE hotpot on a budget if you are not a meat type of person. It's 22.95 a person which includes everything except non water drinks and meat. The sauce bar has sooo many options, more than most hotpot places. The pork bone broth is my favorite, super flavorful and a safe choice for more picky eaters. They also have a huge variety of veggies to choose from, so much that my family didn't miss the lack of meat at all. We ordered a plate of the white fish fillet but honestly the hotpot would have been better without.

spring shabu shabu is a must visit in boston if you're a hot pot or soup lover. the pricing is unbeatable ($23 at the time of my visit), which includes veggies, fish balls, noodles, sauce, and soft serve. you can order meat a la carte, but i usually only order one additional plate of meat since there's already so much to choose from. the quality of the ingredients is very good and i always leave stuffed!the service is very attentive. at peak hours, expect a wait but once you arrive, you can add your name to a waitlist and they will text you when your table is ready. once you are seater, the interior can get a bit loud because it is very big inside. but not a bad ambiance at all. overall, such a great experience and i will definitely be back! i highly recommend spring shabu shabu - it's one of my favorite places to visit in boston.

"Spring Shabu Shabu in Allston is easily the best hot pot spot in Boston! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get to, and the food is consistently fantastic. They offer an impressive variety of fresh ingredients, and the overall selection is huge, catering to every taste. The service is always attentive and friendly, ensuring a great experience every time. Plus, the price point is excellent for the quality and amount of food you get.The ambience is nice with you being seated with your own table and separate from others so you do not feel crammed in. I Highly recommend for anyone craving a top-notch hot pot experience!"

Spring Shabu Shabu was highly recommended to me by many friends, and this place did not disappoint. First of all, there is ample parking in the huge lot, which is important because the restaurant is huge! I've gone on a weekday and also a weekend and both dinners were filled with people. They do not take reservations, so expect a wait, go at an earlier time, or come early to put your name down. All members of the party need to be present to be seated. I absolutely love the AYCE veggies, noodles, fishcakes, desserts, and sauces. It's a great selection and everything is super fresh. Meats and seafood are extras, but honestly, you can get full with just the AYCE items. One thing to note is this place gets loud because everybody is yelling over each other. There are also big groups that come. They can accommodate a wide variety of groups.

Spring shabu shabu is one of the best bang for your buck hot pot spots! Its a modern looking place with high ceilings and plastic dividers for privacy. Their all-you-can-eat vegetables and fish cakes are perfect for non-meat eaters, and their meat and seafood prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. Plus, they slice your meat and seafood to order. The service is prompt and attentive, and while the place can get crowded, the wait is usually short. The restaurant has only individual burners so everyone can get their own broth. And don't forget to try their green tea ice cream!

This place is amazing, but I've rated it 4 stars because I no longer visit as often. The selection of vegetables is impressive, making it a top spot for vegetarians. The food is fresh, with frequent restocking, and the sauce bar is decent. The clean, modern minimalist design of the interior adds to the overall experience. The reason I don't frequent this spot anymore is that I primarily eat meat. Meat here costs extra and the portions can be small, especially for larger groups, so the cost can add up quickly. Seafood options like fish tofu and fish balls are available for an additional charge, but for the price of everything combined, it's more economical to go elsewhere for a meat-focused hotpot/shabu experience.Overall, it's a great place for seafood and vegetarian options, but if you're a meat lover, you might want to look elsewhere.

Is it the best shabu shabu/hot pot experience I've ever had? No - that honor goes to Hai Di Lao in China, where you get a free manicure and loads of snacks in advance. But Spring Shabux2 is a great deal for the area, especially if, like me, you're more into fish balls and veggies and noodles than meat. It's a flat rate and buffet style, so you can eat to your heart's desire, and it's a particularly good deal for large groups/families, since there's usually something there for everyone. I loved the buffet of veggies, fish balls, mushrooms, tofu, noodles and rice. So many different kinds of veggies! The variety is another selling point. As is the sauce bar - I have no idea whether what I'm mixing will turn out good or not, but I went with sha cha, peanut sauce, sesame sauce, and chili oil, with loads of scallions and cilantro. Everything was very clean and fresh. My favorite was the fish ball with roe inside. For once, the protein a la carte options play second fiddle to the incredible buffet spread. Don't forget the green tea soft serve afterwards! My one tip is to go on a weekday night (and on the early side). Our group of 3 went around 5:45 and didn't have to wait, though when we left at 7:30, there was already a line. The weekends are bananas. Also, they won't seat you until your whole party is here so don't be the annoying friend who claims to have left already when you're still sitting at home. PARKING: Spring shares the lot with PetCo, just be mindful of not parking somewhere that's specifically designated. If that lot is full, you can always use the enormous Star Market lot.

Jalapeño fish cake is the bomb! Green tea ice cream also very good. Pork bone soup base is awesome. Mala soup base is ok in my opinion (not spicy enough). Great for groups. Don't wait till the end of the night to get ice cream as the consistency changes a bit.

Great place if you're looking for hotpot in the area. I was here recently for work and so we were staying nearby the Harvard Business School campus. It was raining and cold and our party of 4 wanted to eat something warm and soupy. What better place than a hotpot restaurant. A quick yelp search led us to this establishment. We knew it must be good if the place was packed on a Friday night and the avg wait time was over 60 min! Our party was quoted a 90 minute wait, and since we Uber'd here and it was raining heavily outside, we chose to wait. We. Were. Not. Disappointed. Location: large seating area with different table/seating configurations to allow for parties of different sizes. The premise is that each individual has their own hotpot to customize to their preference and delight. Food: Great selection of vegetables, noodles, seafood balls and cakes, and sauces to customize. This all comes unlimited for the base price of the AYCE, and it's priced very reasonably at under $30. You start off by selecting one of 4 or 5 soup bases. I chose the "Chinese Mala" which was not too spicy and not your traditional Mala. What you can do from there is add on your proteins for about $5-9 per individual serving. I added on 1 order of beef ribeye, and 1 order of beef belly, each about 4 ounces each...which was more than enough!Overall, this was a great meal and fantastic place to try out. If I'm back here again, I'll be sure to come back!
