Catfish was a gracious plenty and very good. Nice atmosphere, they took our party of 12 on a Wednesday when other restaurants would not.

We came in skeptical about this restaurant & man it was DELICIOUS!!!!!! The onion rings were probably by far the best onion rings I've ever had weren't too oily, cooked perfectly where you can enjoy eat it without feeling worried about the onion coming off. When I asked for the WhiteFish/ Shrimp Plate I was feeling skeptical as well because were land locked & WOW!!! the fish & shrimp tasted like they came from the ocean!!!! (coming from a person that's from South Padre Island, TX & Long Beach, CA) it was too legit & I'll definitely be coming back again!!! It was too FIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRREEEEE!!!!!

Could not figure out how to do 4 catfish boxes, 4 shrimp boxes ; then make catfish and shrimp equal in each( 2 catfish, 3 shrimp). Refused to take order .

First, let me say, Michael's service was outstanding, as was the hostess who helped me when I called to make a last minute reservation. Plus, they fit us in, for which we were grateful. Our waiter Michael was personable, humorous, courteous, attentive, everything you could want in a waiter, well beyond what his apparent youth would lead one to expect. But now let me dive into the food. No, first, let me say I love the log cabin/hunters' lodge feel of the interior and exterior very much. For that, and Michael service, I would go back. But now the food. It's a sad story that. The broccoli disintegrates in your mouth because it is so overcooked. The french fries were gray, because the oil was so tired and dirty. The catfish had a nice crunch, but lacked flavor, even though that's the thing they're famous for. The BamBam shrimp was tasty in the an over-caloried-chain-restaurant sort of way. And the salad, though it appeared to come straight from the bag, had a nice tasting vinaigrette dressing. The place is called a grill, but deep frying seemed to be the prominent food style. Despite the mediocre food, let me get back to the service. Michael is great. And the setting is great. Please, please, Sportsmans Grille, consider better supporting the health of your patrons with fresh vegetables properly prepared and fresh fry oil. And, for the same reason, please expand your wine list. Other than that everything was mahhhhvelous.

You want a rustic experience with solid food and lots of beverage selections this is your place. This place is not fancy but it is a go to place. Food is great and loads of drink choices. I had the chicken parm and really liked it. Staff was awesome in helping pick food and beverage. Super place. Go here.

I stopped in to enjoy their Prime Rib "Weekend Special". Except, no Prime Rib available on the weekend. I asked if it was sold out and the waitress said no. Just not available today. It was Sunday afternoon. Here we go with another joint pulling the old "bait and switch". Normally I would have said thank you and left. But I stayed anyways and decided to give their Pork Chops a chance. It is an awesome looking restaurant inside. Boy was that a mistake. What came out was two beach sandals with pepper on them. Flat, skinny, tough as leather and as dry as the beach sand. Yep. I got bamboozled. Won't happen again. See ya. Off my "go-to" list.

Went there with a friend for dinner tonight. Had to wait for about 5 min for the hostess to show up to get us a table. We had people on both sides of our table that were being waited on. Nobody even acknowledged us for over 10 minutes. We finally got up and left to find another restaurant. Can't remember the last time that I had an experience like this at a restaurant. I guess that I can't rate them at ZERO stars...

I had the lunch shrimp and fries. It was good. Also had the Bam Bam Shrimp. It was just ok and expensive for the portion size. The Bang Bang Shrimp at Bonefish is much better. The Coconut Cake was excellent! Menu said it is baked fresh daily. Not sure that is true since it was served cold, directly from the refrigerator.
