Food and drinks here are amazing and very creative . Asked bartender for a mocktail and he created a few really cool drinks. Also very friendly and knowledgeable of menu. Place is very snug so it gets pretty loud, so just be awake. I came solo and it took me four plates and a dessert to be full so keep that in mind when ordering 1)asparagus | dulse salsa macha: walnut so savory and perfectly seared asparagus. 5/52)red snapper with green berries: creative ingredients using the unripe green strawberries for less sweet and more tart flavor. The red snapper was fresh and good acidity in sauce 5/5)3 warm melon- cooked Honey dew with some tiny mushrooms and a nice acidic sauce. This was aciddic , slightly sweet and refreshing 5/54) bavette | curried crab butter, sorrel- tender and juicy and perfectly cooked medium rare. The crunchy sorrel on top added great texture. 5/55) Asparagus- I love asparagus and this dishes as great. Seared asparagus with a savory dulse salsa macha sauce that added some nice crispiness and a little heat 5/5 5)coconut sichuan pepper semifreddo- very tasty and the tart berries added great contrast to the coconut. I barely tasted any Sichuan pepper though 4.5/5 I will come here again and again to try new creative dishes and drink 5/5 highly highly recommended

We've been to Spoke several times over last 5 years or so. The food is pricey for the quality and serving size. More to the point though, most of the food dishes are uninspired. Out of 7 dishes ordered, only two were very good. The others were mediocre at best. Spoke benefits from the location as it's probably on the higher end food wise in Davis Square but with so many other options in Cambridge and Boston it's unlikely we'll return. The wine selection is good so I would recommend for drinks only.

Ambiance is excellent, it has a cool vibe filled with cute interior design. Audience is also diverse, with different ages and races which we liked! When it comes to food, they are great. Our favorites were Sunchocke Donut and chrispy enoki cake, they were perfectly fried and awesome vegetarian options. Fish was pretty good, and Burrata was okay. I would not get stir-fry melon again tho, it wasn't our thing.Wines were great, as it is suppose to be - it's a wine bar anyways!

I can't give Spoke enough stars! The food, service and atmosphere are all outstanding at this locally owned restaurant in Davis Square. Spoke is an especially nice place to come in the summertime. The space is small and cramped indoors, but there is ample outdoor seating at the edge of the sidewalk. While Spoke is best known as a wine bar, they also have an eclectic food menu and make very good "mocktails" or non-alcoholic cocktails. If you tell them what flavor profile you're in the mood for, the bartender will shake up something delicious for you.I came here for an early dinner on a pleasant Friday evening and sat outside. The dishes are small (tapa style), but huge on flavor and loaded with fresh, local ingredients, featuring menu items you have heard of with a unique spin. For example, I ordered the "Bavette with curried crab butter and sorrel" (which was some kind of delicious steak seasoned and cooked perfectly). I also got a dish with radishes in a "popcorn mayonnaise" with yogurt. I never would have imagined combining those ingredients, but wow! My tastebuds were in for a pleasant surprise! For dessert, I enjoyed an ice box tirimisu, which was not quite as dense as the classic version of this dish and offered just the right amount of sweetness to hit the spot without being overpowering. My server was very patient in helping me sort through the menu and extremely knowledgeable about everything on it. Despite being busy, my food came out quickly and I was able to relax and enjoy each course as it came out without feeling rushed to pay and leave. I highly recommend Spoke as a neighborhood spot to enjoy a drink and/or a meal on your own or with company. Yes, it's on the pricey side, but I do feel it's a good value given the quality of the food, excellent service and menu items you won't find anywhere else.

Such a disappointing meal. Parking is very limited in the area, so plan ahead and get a ride or expect to wait for a spot either on the street or in the nearby parking lot. Inside is a little tight but very beautiful. We were seated quickly and service was incredibly friendly, but the food is expensive and not worth coming back for.Lots of busy flavors and unique dishes. Our favorite of the night was the wagyu beef, though the serving size was small. The chocolate mousse was simply inedible. Far too salty and lacking in any other flavor, and the presentation wasn't doing it any favors. I can only assume desserts aren't their strong suit. Maybe it was our mistake, and I hope the experience is a lot better for wine/cocktails. Would only recommend if you go for wine/snacks and aren't planning for a full meal.

Vibes 5/5Great atmosphere and service. The decor and ambiance is cozy and inviting. My girlfriend and I made reservations for a Thursday evening and did not feel rushed during our time there. The servers made gave us tips to share about 5-6 items and broke down the menu for us. Food 4/5We absolutely loved our apps - the sunchoke donuts and enoki cakes were our favorite savory dishes we tried. Well balanced flavors and great textures. We are also adventurous and tried the special of the duck liver, heart, and gizzards - the liver and heart were tender and tasty. The gizzards were a little tough to eat, but had a great smoky flavor. For our "main" dishes we ordered griddled chickpea tempeh (not pictured) and the grits, both of these didn't really tickle our fancy but we're still fun to try. Desert was delicious and not too sweet! We were pleased with the true flavor and texture of the purple sweet potato, as Filipinos we are quite familiar with ube desserts and we're delighted with this one. Great wine selection as well. Overall 4/5 - Will definitely be back to check out more of their menu and to try more of their drinks/cocktails.

My new favorite date night spot in Boston. The cozy ambience is top notch and the food was delicious and inventive. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure to introduce each plate to us when served, as well as help us pick out some great wine pairings for the night. 10/10 experience, flavor, and satiation

Spoke is an incredible wine bar in Davis with a great wine list and absolutely delicious food! It's a great place to come as a group as they have many little plates that are perfect for sharing. Everything we had was delicious. The food was perfectly seasoned with interesting homemade sauces and combinations of flavors. The service was great and out waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the wine list, recommending wines for us. I can't recommend Spoke enough.

Get spoke wine bar while you can. In my opinion spoke hits at the same level and sometimes above sarma but you can actually get a reservation. Don't sleep on this spot. The vibe is somehow v cool but also welcoming. The sunchoke donuts will never not hit. Their flavor profiles are amazing. I dont know how they churn out what they do in such a small kitchen. Their cocktails tend to lean bitter from the few I have tried but I think the bartender will work with you to create something for your pallette. Their wine list is cool. If you like small plates, don't miss this gem.
