Split Open and Melt

I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews but in this case I feel I need to leave one for if anything some constructive criticism.The wife and I both ordered the "Crimini" which is the vegetarian option. The sandwich was very dry and lacked flavor and the amount of 'shrooms was dismal. Our only saving grace was to dump some ketchup, yes ketchup on the sandwich to make it palatable. Leaving this as a 2 star review since the truffle fries were 'aight.

This food truck did not disappoint! We also ordered the classic cheesesteak and cheesesteak fries but they were demolished before I could snap a photo. The cheese was so melty and delicious, and the bread on the sandwich was soft. The guys working the truck we're super nice and the prices are great for the quality!

Good service and good food. You can't beat that. I recommend the classic with a small frie. So good, the meat was perfectly grilled. The cheese was creamy. With a little bit of grilled onion. Delicious! I recommend this truck. Next time, you're at large brewery. Check it out!

Glad I decided to give this mobile food stand a try, I enjoy a good Philly cheesesteak and that's what you get from Split Open Melt. I went with the name sake sandwich and a small garlic fries, since I didn't use the online ordering I was told it could be a twenty five minute wait so I'll definitely be using that option next time I decide to get a cheesesteak from here. There was a solid amount of other folks waiting for their order which is a good sign. They seem to be able to handle the rush though it seemed like a pretty quick turnaround unfortunately the weather had changed to a grey cold day otherwise not a bad wait maybe fifteen minutes for my order. When I got back to my desk and opened the wrapper I noticed that they don't use a hoagie roll more of an artisan bread which was soft and moist inside and crusty on the outside not dry. All the ingredients are well cooked and the meat is seasoned nicely. I also got a small garlic fries which was your standard garlic fries maybe a hint of lemon with the minced garlic good all in all. I'll be back but right now now a nap sounds

Two sandwiches that were really just dry bread with almost nothing on it for $40.Not good at all

Spent $100 on sandwiches with bread that was actually breaking it was so DRY! On one sandwich there was what seemed to be zero cheese. We went back to ask for additional cheese and the guy said "you have as much as everyone else." What a complete a-hole! I've attached a picture of a "cheesy" steak sandwich missing an appropriate amount of cheese. Do not waste your money. They are rude beyond belief. PS we offered to pay for more cheese.

We had the pleasure of eating at split open and melt today at at large brewery and it was amazing!! My husband and I ordered the split open and melt and the classic and it was amazing !!!!!!! Must try !! Stupid good !! Good job guys !!! 10 stars

I am so excited to finally have delicious cheese steaks in Everett. As an easy coaster my standards were very high and these are top notch. The owner is super friendly and the fact that he gave the truck a Phish-y name is the cherry on top. Can't wait to eat here again.
