This place is incredible. I'm always in search of the perfect dark chocolate bar. I've been known to drop a decent amount on some amazing chocolate! This place is worth every penny. Love supporting a local business, especially when everything they stand behind and offer is wonderful and delicious!!!!! I love all of their bars. Go in and sample some for yourself !!!

What a gem of a chocolate maker! We're new to Seattle and were looking for local gifts for our parents & in-laws and the chocolate here was wonderful. We pre-ordered a 4 pack online and were able to mix and match from the selection in store. Loved that they offered samples of all their chocolates, and overall had a really cool storefront.Such a wide variety of darks - my favorite was the 70% Uganda with bee pollen and salt, a great combo of sweet and savory. We will likely become members here because we'd love the chance to try some of their smaller batch, members only flavors. We were told you can also book a tour (on Airbnb or part of the membership) of the place that walks through the chocolate making process in more detail! We will certainly be back!

I visited here as a very well known chef had said they have the absolute best chocolate here. Specifically the recommendation was the 70% Madagascar with sea salt. This location is simple but also an amazing experience because you can try any of their gourmet chocolates. Each was so unique and flavorful. I was blown away by how each had such a distinct quality to it. My favorite ended up as the 58% Madagascar dark milk but I also loved the 70% Belize with nibs and salt. It was nice that I could try one out and then decide between bars before making a final selection. This is a definite place for chocolate enthusiasts who want to treat themselves but also great for gifts.

I explored a new chocolate shop today except theo. I would say Spinnaker Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate maker that exclusively uses high-quality and well-fermented cocoa beans. There are different varieties of chocolates you can try with free samples. and I searched online that they sort cacao in three different ways and they also roasting nibs instead of whole beans. So what I have today is a pacagke of cacao leaves for tea and it is rich in flavor and rich in nutrients as well. I think it is perfect for Coffee Mocha.

WOW. Had their 58% Madagascar bar today. First bite has a clean snap, then it tastes like caramel, coffee, then fruity at the end. What sorcery is this? Best chocolate I've had in my life. Ate the bar too fast, now I need to buy another.

I made a spontaneous visit to Spinnaker Chocolate on 3/15/24. Yes, late to the high quality, hand crafted bean to bar party since they've been open since autumn 2021. One thing that was notable was the intense aroma of chocolate being processed as soon as I entered their retail and production site. Literally, this scent transported me to my pastry school chocolate rotations and classes, tours, or visits I've taken in the distant past at Fran's, The Chocolate Man, Theo's, Chocolopolis, Indi, and Fortunato. I liked how the retail table was arranged with featured award winning bars, but with samples handled with tongs. I circled twice and ended up doing the my own personal tasting of two particular bars. The test sample is optimal when savored slowly and equilibrated with one's mouth/body temperature. I tend to favor dark chocolate with cacao content of at least 70%. I ended up selecting two bars of interest, Colombia with Ethiopian Coffee (68%, $11) and Belize with 100 proof bourbon (70%, $13). The counter person was very welcoming while I was briefly onsite. I also enjoyed reading later about this indie company, that they are experienced chocolatiers and have won 20 awards last year. They also evaluate their cacao beans to assure no lead present and low levels of cadmium are monitored. They hand roast in small batches to assure consistent high quality, plus they donate 1% of sales towards cleaning ocean debris. Go ahead, indulge in high quality chocolate bars from a local, indie, family run business.

Um hello. I did not need to develop an obsession with chocolate. But, if you're going to obsess over chocolate, this is the one. My friend told me about this place so she took me there when I was in town. They have so many samples to try and you can try it all! I really can't tell you which are my favorites because they all had very unique and distinct flavors. So you really should try them all. If I did have to choose one, I'd pick the 70% Belize with Bourbon. I just think this one is the most unique and I haven't had it anywhere else. The storefront is pretty minimalistic, but the chocolates speaks for themselves. Definitely a cool experience and a chance to try out all of their chocolates before deciding on which ones to get. Kind of glad I'm not anywhere near here so I don't come in for a sample or 10 every day. Fortunately, I can order online too.

Phenomenal shop in Seattle. This place shattered my expectations of a 'local' chocolate maker. The owner is incredibly well versed from bean to bar and makes A++ quality chocolate with a wide array of origins and add-ins. The tour is a delightful experience and the products themselves are my go-to gift. Pick them up at DeLaurenti downtown or even the airport Shop Seattle store.
