After looking through a ton of different options, the bf and I decided to give this place a try. We arrived a little after 6:30 and two tables were occupied so we could sit pretty much anywhere. They have a QR code menu from which you can also order from if you are feeling antisocial. Since it was our first time, our server quickly went through the menu with us and answered our questions. We got 3 items:Chongqing Style Spicy Noodle Soup ($12)Chi oil chao shou (6p for $8)Pickled fish fillet ($21.99) that came with glass noodlePlus 2 bowls of rice ($2 ea). Had we realized the fish came with noodles we might have passed on the rice. Good to know for next time! The food came out pretty quickly. The noodle soup wasn't too soupy but it had a gentle kick and was super flavorful with a nice umami balance. The dumplings were nicely cooked and the Szechuan peppercorn came through. The pickled fish fillet had pickled greens, garlic and noodles with white fish and was really tasty. We had considered getting the Szechuan fish with tofu but I'm glad we didn't as I suspect that the dumplings had the same sauce. They have big murals showcasing some of their noodle dishes, which all looked tasty. We will have to come back to give them a try! And trust me, we are coming back but with more people so we can try more things!

TL;DR good spot with some amazing items (e.g. intestine spicy noodles) albeit slightly lacking in depth of soup flavor but worthy of a late-night mealSpicy Noodle is a good spot with a small selection of noodle dishes with some accompanying side dishes like lamb skewers and other from the Chengdu region of China. Most of the staff here spoke fluent Mandarin and you have an ordering system similar to what you'd find in prototypical Chinese establishments. That shouldn't deter you, this place is a good spot to satisfy a noodle cravingHere's where I'll be a little bit more critical. The meal itself was decently priced around $17 for a single person ordering one item after taxes/tip. The food wasn't spicy imo and barely broke a sweat albeit I do enjoy spice so this could also be an individual scenario. The broth was also somewhat lacking in depth of flavor. It could have been that the intestines soaked up most of the flavor as the intestines were much more flavor-packed, however, I enjoy a richer broth and this was slightly stronger than the seasoning you might get with some spicy noodle packetAll that is to say, it wasn't the most impressive place but the intestines noodle dish was above satisfactory simply because it's a hard dish especially cleaning the intestines from having a gritty texture. I commend them for this alone, everything else are nitpicks for me but would definitely consider returning as they had some other dishes that caught my eye like their spicy beef noodle dish

Name change and the spot is still good. I don't think anything changed. I like their beef noodle soup.

My friend and I came here for an early dinner (5pm on a Sunday on President's Day weekend) and we were the only ones in the restaurant the entire time we were there. We ordered the hot and sour glass noodles and some other spicy dry noodles to share. The food was really spicy and flavorful, but we were both so freakin' thirsty after we left! I also had a massive headache, which was a telling sign that they used lots of MSG in their food preparation. I ordered the chili wontons for my daughter to go. She enjoyed the wontons, but agreed they left her feeling really thirsty. If you enjoy the Shanghai mala mouth-numbing chili and don't have a reaction to MSG, then this restaurant is an ideal choice for you.The restaurant is really clean and service is very friendly. There is also a large parking lot with plenty of spaces.

Their spicy miso ramen is a game-changer - rich, savory, and with just the right amount of heat. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate.

Once named Sunny Noodle, now called Spicy Noodle, no clue why but we were told they just changed their name. It's a small noodle shop with all tables that seat 4 people. You order and pay by scanning a QR code. Food is comes out fast. Service was fast. We ordered several items to share. The lamb kebab (4 skewers), crispy spicy pork, spicy seaweed, fat intestine rice, braised beef noodles, and a chongqing spicy noodle soup. My favorites were the lamb skewers and the chongqing spicy noodle. Many of the dishes were overly salty, especially the braised beef noodles and lamb kebab skewers. The dishes weren't as spicy as I was expecting so good for some and not for others but there is chili oil on the side you can add to your dish. This place was just ok for us. Takeout comes with a nice reusable bag.

Spicy Noodle is the new name for the former Sunny Noodle at the Mercury Village Shopping Center in Kearny Mesa. I am uncertain if there was an ownership change, or if it was simply a rebranding of the business. The interior did have a little bit more Chinese character decor than its predecessor. Ordering was the same as before by scanning a QR code available at each table and then making your selections online for the kitchen to process. There was a small menu board in front of the service counter that listed a few of the featured/special items.I picked the Chicken Corn Dumplings and Big Meat Noodle with an extra portion of noodles (+$2) for my meal. There were ten steamed dumplings in the order. They arrived at my table well after the noodle soup had already been served. The size and texture of the dumplings were average. The Big Meat Noodle was served in a large soup bowl. Three pieces of braised beef along with baby bok choy were the other contents besides the thin noodles. The broth was deep and rich without any spiciness which was what I preferred. The meat was tender and quite fatty.I wished the online menu provided more of a complete description of each item so a customer could be more educated before they order. Also, you cannot pay online and must ask for a bill from the staff to check out. I rated my Spicy Noodle experience between three and four stars because the price and quality of the food were similar to the prior noodle shop which I gave a similar rating.

Are here for the first time after work, gentlemen serving us was really nice and helpful. We got the spicy chilli oil chao shou, the lamb kebab, the big meat plate and the cucumber salad. Everything was delicious, some of the side dishes we had never had but everything was super good.
