Southern Maid Donuts

Even though my daughter LOVES Shipley's like Jesus lives there..... I come here when *I* want donuts (sorry JC). I've lived in the area a couple of years now and this was the first shop I frequented after moving and I have to say, it has stayed true to quality the whole time. I love the donuts and the kolaches. I've also tried the bacon egg and cheese croissants and they are really good as well. I usually get 6 mixed donuts and some blend of kolaches, go home, eat and take an immediate nap - that's how much the sugary deliciousness takes over me. May the competition in the area never beat them down - they deserve their spot!

giant donut holes and kolaches...cheap and tasty! they aren't open all day, think they close around 2. Well worth checking out if you live in the area and don't want to drive the distance to a Shipley's...you really don't have to! these sweet treats hit the spot...

I absolutely love their donuts. They are delicious fluffy and just the right amount of glaze that will melt in your mouth! The people there are super nice and always remember us. Nothing beats an owner who works hard and remembers regulars even if it's been a while since my last visit. Even when eating the leftover donuts in the evening or the next morning they are still delicious. I've tried their kolaches and croissants, both are very tasty. If you've never been trust me you'll be hooked after your first bite.

Oh My Gosh!! This place! The. Best. Donuts. Ever! I tried the chocolate donut and fell in love!!!Perfect texture. Perfect sweetness level! Sooo tasty I'm craving one as I write about it! I also tried the beef cheese jalapeño kolache and it was also delicious! Needless to say this place is now on my regular rotation list!!Yummy!!!!!

The best customer service by far and don't get me started on the brisket Kolache to die for okay. To die for.

Staff is very friendly, fast service and great product! I just moved to the area and I have found my donut shop. Yummy!

Right next to walgreens. These ladies are always smiling, sweet, and patient. Sometimes you even get a free donut with purchase. Just because. The sandwiches are the best! Not even in Houston can you find better. I don't normally eat donuts but I can't stay away from the Apple fritter!
