South Sea Grocery

I'm super grateful we live so close to this little convenient store! It has all those everyday items you need to function, and a whole lot more. They have your usual convenience store items like eggs, milk, ketchup, etc., but then they also have dried shiitake mushrooms, sesame oil, fresh garlic, and avacados! On top of that, their owners are also very kind and helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

This place is pretty awesome. It's a bit hectic because they have so much packed in to a small space but that only means that they have more than you'd expect. I usually stop in here for a snack or the occasional grocery. Their beer selection isn't great but I can always count on them to have something reliable like a 6-pack of Laguanitas or Elysian. The owners are very friendly and easy to talk to. It's a nice little spot to hit if you don't want to go all the way to QFC or StockBox. The only downside, like one of the other reviews said, is some of the people who wander in there (it's right next to a bus station and some housing units) but the owners are quick to shut any troublemakers down. Good place to support overall, I love local business.

For an un-assuming bodega, this place has a TON of grocery options at your disposal. Surprisingly so.The first time I went in here I was shocked at how much space (quite a bit) and items you can find. We were on the hunt for tortillas and they had like 6 kinds, plus taco shells, hot sauces, you name it! Not to mention all the basics -- milk, eggs, bread, cheese, etc. As far as staples go you can find most everything here, even "potato rounds" -- flat little tater tots which I like more than actual tots themselves. The beer selection is sadly quite abysmal, but I have the Local 76 to cater to my needs there at least.The Indian couple running this place are super friendly too! So say hello and explore a bit while you are here, cuz you are bound to find something ~interesting~ at the last.

This place has everything you could need for a grocery store in a tiny and convenient space. I'm honestly shocked by how much there is, and the owners are very nice!!

I have been shopping at South Sea Grocery for years and always happy with their convenience, remarkable choices and competitive pricing.

good little market for nearby convenience, unfortunately half of my stuff i bought was expired which is disappointing. nice couple that runs the place though

Customer service is great. I love how large their selection is here. You can get all kinds of chips, cookies, canned goods, frozen foods, ice creams, salsa, instant noodles, the list goes on. For a small store they sure have a lot. I love to support this local convenience store. Very easy to find, the house is so colorful. They even sell household stuff like tissues and soap. I try to go here instead of the Shell or Chevron down the street, it's a much better business and I hope the people who own the place can continue serving this neighborhood for a long time!
