The trees grits were perfect just a little watery. I wish they would've been a little bit more thick. The French toast was amazing and had a Crips touch to it. Make sure you ask for real eggs. The chicken sausage was not spicy cooked to perfection and the breakfast potatoes was a little bland.

Food: Awesome see for yourselfService: I wasn't too sure if I should try this place as I normally go to a place around the corner however, I pushed myself to at least come look at the inside and menu to see if I was a good fit for my tastebuds. I can tell you everyone of the employees that passed by my table...were so polite and nice. I have been missed out on more than just good food but, also real southern hospitality. Ambiance: Clean, dark kind of intimate new-school cafe. It was better than I expected & next time I'm getting my car serviced...I will be back! Thanks SCD & keep up the awesomeness!

The food was okay but the service was absolutely terrible. The Caucasian waitress with the red/purple ponytail has an awful attitude for no reason at all. She didn't even greet me when I came in the door. Everything was more important than assisting the customer. Also, I had two missing items from my to go order and unfortunately it pained Ms Ponytail to assist. She was too busy doing much of nothing. People like her destroy businesses. I know I won't be back.

Overall, the food was good. The fried chicken was moist and tender, the mac was cheesy and flavorful, cornbread on point. I can't recall exactly what my brother got, but he raved about his food and said this was his favorite stop all weekend (it was our first visit to Atlanta).I personally didn't enjoy the coleslaw- it's chopped up so fine I'd almost call it minced, so it lacked the body/crunch I enjoy in a slaw; and I didn't love the jalapeño in it. The side salad was fresh and a good size! Loved that it still had croutons, egg etc even though it was a side. The cayenne ranch dressing is *hella* spicy- seriously, I like buffalo wings and typically enjoy a bit of spice on my food, but this had me tapping out and asking for a different dressing- I couldn't eat it. Our waitress was brisk, and seemed almost as if we were bothering her whenever she came to take our order/check on us. Service was my least favorite part of our dining experience here, but no idea if that's typical, specific to our waitress, or just an off night. Atmosphere was meh- decor and seating were boring and it had no real diner vibes (or any particular kind of vibes, really).

I order breakfast food, it took the cooks 40 minutes to make grits, a omelette , toast and chicken sausages 1. The omelette was not real eggs, the eggs was running off the plate, it was not a good omelette at all2. The sausages was so dry and hard I could have broken their window with the chicken sausages if these was Deliha chicken sausages they should never cook them again!3. Coffee I asked for creamer she wanted to give me milk, they had no sugar in the raw. she was being lazy didn't want to walk to the back and get creamer, I gave a her a look that said it all and went to get the creamer.4. I never got a glass of water nor did they offered a glass of water but I saw them offering others, is a nice way of saying it.5. I am new to the neighborhood and I try to support all businesses but this food here was so nasty I would never come back again I will stick to The cenacle which is down the street, their food quality is better. I have had their food several times excellent service and quality. 6. As someone who was and worked as a short order cook the people they hired to cook, looked like their uncles that was baffled and confused as the waitress. please Get some real short order cooks those cook and not your uncles. I am laying in my bed sick as dog after this experience with your restaurant I will never eat their again and will let people know about this nasty and horrible experience!
