The food was really good the customer service was top tier I would only give it a four star because it took forever for the food to come and then it was like like warm which I didn't like . But I would definitely highly recommend 10/10 everything was good

I used to love this restaurant and was excited to revisit it with my husband after some time away. Unfortunately, our experience was truly disappointing. To start, I found a bug in my salad, which was a major turn-off. I also noticed that my cornbread was hard and the food was not hot. While the young man who waited on us was friendly and polite, and offered to replace the salad (as if I would want another!), he didn't take any meaningful actions to address these issues. It just didn't seem like a big deal unfortunately. A manager did not come out, nor were we offered a discount or otherwise, which we feel would have been absolutely appropriate given the situation. Spending $40 on two meals felt like a waste and a huge letdown, especially on our date night. I understand things happen, but the lack of proper follow-up made the situation worse. I recall our waiter telling us that the restaurant had new ownership. I hope the new owners and the restaurant can improve and return to the high standards it once had, as it used to be one of our favorite places. Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable eating here again and will not return.

Solid vegan soul food. The cauliflower and mac and cheeze were both amazing. The kalebone was a bit tough and doesn't quite hold up to more modern vegan proteins but still very tasty.

The food and the service was amazing. The chef is an absolute delight. My favorite is definitely the Jerusalem rice.

I have been eating at Soul Veg for 30+ years. The quality has gone down and things no longer taste consistent, based on my last 2 visits. The eggless tofu salad is loose (like too much mayo/binder) and the seasoning is a little off. The "scoops" are small and they don't come in a nice mound anymore - it's more of a sloppy blob. Prince dressing seems less garlicky than in the past. Wasn't able to get carrot salad because they were out. The portions of the salads are smaller and the lettuce portion of the "salad" for the salad plate was nothing more than a tiny sprinkle of lettuce with 4 tiny thin tomato slices and 4 tiny cucumber slices. This is unique vegan food, but the value no longer really holds up with the changes in quality and the shrinking portions. Bummer.

I went with a friend to try this spot while in town. Parking was free and in close proximity. It was close to closing so there were just a few people in the restaurant. I ordered Kalebone sandwich and roasted potatoes. First of all, those potatoes were fire. They were really good. The sandwich was extremely good and filling. I didn't eat the entire sandwich but finished it later. It was a good experience. I could try other menu items again when in town.

I was very interested in trying Soul Vegetarian out to find a healthier non-meat flavor to soul food. I ordered my food online for pickup so it would be ready once I arrived to take home with me. I order a lunch special I believe which included bbq cauliflower, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, cornbread and a salad. When I took the first bite, I was impressed. But the more I ate it, the more overwhelming the food was and I couldn't finish it. Overall the sweet potatoes and cornbread was delicious. But I could have did without the bbq cauliflower and Mac and cheese. One day I hope to go back and try something else on the menu but this just wasn't it.

Very cool place where we ate lunch after visiting the nearby Jimmy Carter Center. My wife had a veggie burger and sweet potatoes. I had the kalebone with collard greens, cornbread and a little salad. All of it was delicious. The seventies soul music that was being played was perfect for the environment. The service was friendly and helpful.

It's really fun having soul food that's vegan. The food was kind of fine... I'm such a sucker for being able to get collard greens. Were they great? No. Were they vegan? Yes! The baked steak thing I had was gross. I couldn't eat it. My husband had the bbq cauliflower and he liked that! The Mac n cheese was sweet, like they'd used vanilla almond milk in it. Hated that. So... I guess we didn't love it. I guess the novelty of ordering collards that I can eat really allowed me to be super forgiving! Maybe too expensive for disappointing food.
