We just had a great dinner at Sorrento's in Little Italy. It was Sunday evening and we chose to eat at one of the tables outside right on India Street. I loved the street ambiance with the pedicabs going by playing music. All the waiters were Italian from Italy. The food was excellent. I had the cioppino which was full of delicious seafood. We had calamari fritti and caesar salad as appetizers. Everything was good and I love being right in the heart of Little Italy, cause then we strolled India St. Alexandro, one of our servers, was especially great. He brought us a delicious slice of pistachio cheesecake to share, just because we were friendly!

Customers need to be aware of 'hidden' charges. A 20% tip will automatically be added for groups of 4+ people. I don't think this reasonable as most families are comprised of 4 people these days. USA and the expectation for patrons to tip is frustrating. We already pay higher prices for the dining out experience so to pay for the service that should already accompany the already high prices is RIDICULOUS.Gin and Tonic- charged for tonic and ice?!!!I won't go back.

Second time visiting this place. Brought some friends to experience this beautiful place and had a great time. Definitely feels like I'm back in Sicily. 10/10 Service and definitely have a great relationship with the owner and the locals that frequently visit. I ordered the same entree as my first visit, which is the Lobster Ravioli and it's the best Italian food I've had in San Diego. Who knew a place called Little Italy could actually bring back memories. 10/10 Recommend! The pasta, ravioli, shrimp pasta and lobster is great! Try it all! Definitely a fan of the warm bread and sauce they serve. I got one of the most expensive wines but its always the best when you go to an authentic place. Definitely had to purchase a few bottles for souvenirs. Anyways, what are you waiting for??? DATE NIGHT? FRIENDS NIGHT OUT? GO TRY THIS PLACE!!!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. The food here was amazing. Although we did hear that most restaurants in San Diego's Little Italy would not disappoint. We had a late night reservation and the staff was great on accommodating us. We ordered a pizza and the focaccia bread as appetizers and let me just say...do not go here and bypass that focaccia bread. You need it!! The rest of our dishes were on point and they had a good selection of drinks. Go eat here, please do. No regrets.

Restaurant was decent. Service was good and outside seating was nice for people watching. Food was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I chose the Profumata Pizza with Prosciutto. It was very good but again not my favorite in the Little Italy district of San Diego.

What a lovely spot in little Italy! We had a group of 8 on a Saturday night and luckily found this spot while walking around. We were sat right away in the back and were quickly greeted by our server. The service was impeccable and we were always being checked on, getting refills on water and bread, and more. I got the gnocchi sorrentina and WOW, was this good!!! The mozzarella on top was delicious and it was a very filling meal. The rest of our party enjoyed their pastas as well. My mom said the calamari was spectacular and my dad mentioned that even though it's easy to make a basic spaghetti and meatballs, there was something really delicious about theirs. They also sang my sister and I happy birthday and gave us a free dessert, which was very sweet. I wasn't sure what it was but it was quite good! Overall, a great spot in the area.

Very lovely restaurant in San Diego Little Italy. Friendly staff and great location. Lots of options wine and liquor wise. Pleasant staff! Ordered meat lovers pizza which awesome. Really nice crust, good combination of meats and sauce. Mushroom Ravioli on the other side were pretty good but with too much sauce, so it was a bit overbearing. Would love to come again and try other dishes...

Amazing homemade pasta! We've eaten there many times and always get the best service and delicious meals. We always take out of town guests and friends and Sorrento's never disappoints. The team takes such good care of us. They treat us like family.

Overall, good place to dine and drink. What made this a great experience, was our waiter, Emanuel. He's a real asset. He deserves a raise.
