Sole Repair

Planning a wedding during the pandemic was frustrating and stressful. After deciding to host a very small ceremony, then a larger reception for friends, my spouse and I were having difficulties finding a Halloween party / surprise wedding reception venue that was both unique and cost-effective. Danielle was instrumental in our decision to book Sole Repair. The costs were itemized and quoted up front, she helped navigate the best options for food and beverages, keeping bar costs under control, and creating the right ambiance. There were different layout options, and not having to coordinate with separate bar/catering and venue companies made it even more compelling. The day of party preparation went very smoothly, we had a couple of hours to decorate, the onsite security and staff were friendly and competent, the food was delicious, we were able to plug in a mobile device (via audio jack) into their sound system for playing music without effort, and the attendees all had a wonderful time.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Sole Repair in August this year.We loved it from the second we looked at it, and the venue, food, staff and atmosphere did not disappoint on the day. We had 75 guests with a buffet dinner and there was plenty of space for dancing, seating and tables.The food was spectacular, we got so many amazing comments, the staff serving drinks were efficient and super pleasant.Although everything was amazing the shining star of Sole Repair is Katie. We planned our Seattle wedding from Boston and working with Katie was THE BEST experience it was like chatting to a friend, effortless, easy and so much fun. She answered all our emails promptly and thoroughly, she was there whenever we needed her, she helped us with decorations and co-ordinating vendors and with our one off requests. She is kind, friendly and approachable which is exactly want you need on your wedding day, she was always smiling and it was a great comfort knowing she had everything under control.We had the best day of our lives at Sole Repair and could not recommend it more!

This is a really neat event space right next to Quinn's on Pike. I had never noticed it before until our company had a work event here. The lighting and decor is rustic and cute. I can imagine a small wedding reception here. The ambiance feels very much like Capitol Hill, hipster, and stylish.The food was pretty good although some of my coworkers didn't enjoy some of the bites as much. The bathrooms were very clean, and the layout was a bit funky because there's an upstairs area too, but it wasn't too bad.

If only I could give this venue 6 stars...We had our wedding here in September and the experience was everything and more. Katie, the director of events, and her team were a dream to work with and more accommodating, understanding and attentive then I've seen in the service industry (especially the wedding industry!). We had 95 people in the space and it worked seamlessly, just as promised. The food, supplied by Quinn's, was delicious, the bartenders were excellent, and staff were so kind.Our group had the best time and I cannot wait to book our next event with Katie and Sole Repair!

My wife and I recently had our wedding at Sole Repair. We were relieved and excited when we met with Ashley for the first time and saw the space and learned that we would be able to have the whole event in their space. To be able to have the ceremony and reception, including a seated dinner, all in one space made our decision much easier, and knowing that their staff would handle every step in the process for us so that our friends and family wouldn't have to lug chairs up the stairs or move tables around was reason enough to have our wedding here.The situation was made even better when we learned that they would be able to do in-house catering, provided by the same kitchen as Quinn's Pub. We knew the food would be good, but the service and actual dinner were miles above and beyond anything that we had hoped or expected. Literally every single person that we invited came to us after dinner and gushed over how good the food was, often claiming that it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding. The kitchen were incredibly accommodating of ours and our friends' dietary restrictions, providing specially-made meals for our vegan friends in attendance, and adding an additional item at the beginning of dinner service to make sure that our vegetarian friends would have not only enough food, but variety in the food that they did have.The staff was all incredible. They were attentive and helpful, kind, courteous, fun and full of joy. The bar staff were fast and efficient, dealing with our group quickly and with ease, and made fantastic drinks. Truly, our wedding couldn't have happened without them.More than anyone else, Ashley made our wedding possible. She was helpful and accommodating, making sure that we felt special and heard, not only listening to and making our requests happen, but also offering advice, helping us to better create a vision for our wedding that truly felt like it was ours. She made every part of the process simple and easy, eliminating stress or confusion at every turn. During the wedding itself, Ashley helped to orchestrate and guide the events of the evening. She made sure that music played when it was supposed to, that our emcee knew when to make announcements, and guaranteeing that we had a space prepared for us to sign our marriage certificate - complete with fresh glasses of bubbly. It wasn't enough for Ashley that she be helpful, though. She was also incredibly kind and thoughtful, making our relationship feel like that of close, long-time friends rather than a vendor-client relationship. She truly took our thoughts, feelings, and personalities into consideration.I can't possibly recommend working with Sole Repair, and Ashley in particular, highly enough. I've rated them five-stars, but I would rate them 50-stars if I could. I got to marry my best friend in an absolutely beautiful space surrounded by my friends and family, and it wouldn't have happened without Ashley. I will be grateful for her for the rest of my life, as she played a pivotal role in the best day of my life. We stan a legend.

Just learned about this venue . A fabulous downtown Cap Hill space, with a loft, perfect for intimate celebrations of all kinds. Good acoustics for live music. Dedicated bar and catering service-- and it is all tasty. Saw it in use as a wedding venue but can imagine it for corporate events easily. I will be sure to suggest this as a venue to others. Cheers!

Had my 40th birthday party here and I can't say enough good things. The space is beautiful and has a great rustic/romantic vibe on it's own so I didn't need to spend a ton on décor. The food was was better than I've had a most event spaces (my guests literally dived to get the grilled cheese when they came out and snuck desserts out in their purses) and the drinks are reasonably priced. But my favorite part was the staff! They were also so lovely and helpful and they are 100% the reason I'd do another event there. Danielle my coordinator consistently went above and beyond and made planning so easy and stress free! 10/10 would recommend!

I recently held my second event here in the last several years, and I will continue to go back! The space provides a very fun setting for a party, allowing people to mingle and dance below, with food and tables up top. The staff are so friendly and professional. The events manager, Danielle, is very responsive and came up with some great ideas for decorations and referrals for DJs, photo booths etc. I cannot say enough how the space and people made my party feel so special and everyone had a fabulous time! It really is perfect for small weddings, birthday or anniversary parties, or corporate events. The food is amazing too!

We recently held our company launch party at Sole Repair Shop and it was the best decision we could have made! From the initial contact, through to the end of our event, Danielle and her team provided us with the most amazing service. The food from Quinn's Pub was wonderful, the space was spectacular, and the staff was impeccable. The night could not have gone any better and it's all thanks to Danielle and the whole team! We will be using Sole Repair Shop again for future events, and I highly recommend others do so as well! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I had our wedding celebration at Sole Repair in early July of this year that was both small and unconventional due to the pandemic. As with many couples getting married in the last year and half, our wedding planning process was a whirlwind of multiple cancellations and changed plans, and at times we felt overwhelmed. We eventually settled on two smaller events - one family-only wedding ceremony and a separate friends-only celebration. We held our friends-only event at Sole Repair and worked with Danielle to make it happen.Working with Danielle and her staff made the whole experience so much smoother and more amazing than it had any right to be. The planning process with Danielle was fantastic - she was so helpful, responsive and friendly, and extremely willing and excited to entertain our non-traditional plans for the event. She had a lot of great ideas of her own, kept us on track the day-of and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed - she actually got into a bad car accident the morning of the wedding, and not only still showed up to the event, but absolutely crushed it! We felt truly cared for by Danielle and couldn't have made it through the ups and downs of planning our event without her. On the day of our wedding, her staff were kind, fun and beyond accommodating to all of our needs and requests. We can't recommend Danielle and the whole Sole Repair staff highly enough!As for Sole Repair itself, the space is beautiful and warm, and had the perfect layout and size for dinner and dancing with our friends. The food, fully catered by Quinn's Pub next door, was absolutely delicious, came in very generous portions, and was universally loved by our guests. Everyone at the wedding had a great time and so did we!We'll never forget how integral Sole Repair and Danielle were to the success of our offbeat, pandemic-era wedding, and will definitely turn to them for hosting parties in the future. We have nothing but great things to say about them and know that you'll have the same amazing experience we did!
