A very beautiful atmosphere and the service was amazing . From the servers to the bussers they were very kind and helpful. It was a very fun experience taking my father to his birthday here.We were able to enjoy quite a selection of food .It was quite affordable too!It wasnt too hard to find parking either .Again the service was amazing - very happy with it ! Can't stop raving about it. Hope to come back here soon enough!

We ate outside, enjoying watching the planes as they took off. (Some may find the noise a bother, but we find it fun.) Our server was excellent as were other members of the service team.We were there for Happy Hour! I had the amazing cocktail (whose name I forget, but it was like an Aperol Spritz). My husband got the daily beer special (no drafts, though) and was very happy.We got their AMAZING bread, lightly flavored with rosemary and accompanied by terrific, seasoned olive oil for dipping. I LOVED the gorgonzola/pear flatbread and my husband enjoyed the meatball (sold as an appetizer, but a full meal for us seniors). The Salame al Cioccolato (chocolate and Amaretto "cookie," almonds, pistachios and Torroncino gelato) was too good for words. DO SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT IF YOU EAT HERE!Cannot recommend this place too highly!

DELICIOUS!! Went for an early dinner and the place wasn't busy. The server was friendly and attentive. I tried the Pane Artigianale, Risotto al Pecorino e Ciccia Cruda, and Crema Bruciata al Pistacchio. The Pane Artigianale was worth paying for bread. The Risotto is seasonal which I wish it wasn't because it was absolutely delicious. Beef tartare on risotto I haven't before. The cherries brought a nice slight sweetness to the creamy risotto. The Creme brûlée was overcooked. Overall, if you want Italian I would definitely try this place out.

Cute little restaurant with indoor outdoor seating. Wonderful menu with delicious options like truffle risotto and scallops, butternut squash soup and squash blossoms filled with ricotta all on our order! Sweet service and yummy lemon martini! Don't miss!

When I saw the menu, I thought it's a legit place but I was totally wrong. Firstly, the hostess said they have an indoor table available, but when I followed her went inside there wasn't a table, so we sat outside instead. Then we ordered a Caesar salad, a Margherita pizza with cherry tomatoes and arugula adding on the top. Also a risotto, we asked the waitress option about the risotto and we chose the one she recommended. And then we didn't get the risotto, because she didn't place the order. The pizza didn't have arugula on, because she didn't note that. The flavor is really so so, the Caesar salad is super small like a side salad. I won't go back here anymore, very very disappointed both service and the food.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The appetizers were delicious, the ravioli plate was fresh. This place has great staff and such a beautiful place to enjoy great wine and food.

Solare is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego. All of the food is good and the ambiance is great. Our server wasn't the greatest and was impatient and rushed us. The pasta and arancini were the highlights for sure. Would go back!!

I came here once back in 2011 and enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. After I moved back to SD, I finally decided to come back to this restaurant. I had higher expectations. We ordered an appetizer and two pasta dishes. They were ok. The highlight was the dessert. Both mousse and tiramisu were good. The service was ok. Our waiter didn't even smile or talk much.

Ambience 100%, food 100%, service 100%. Literally everything was amazing. The food was so incredibly tasty. It felt like you were sitting in Italy. Note that the portions are small. I suggest ordering their meals for two and splitting it.If you have to use the restroom, you have to step out into the barracks, which will take you away from your beautiful dinner feeling. But other than that, I recommend the fish. And I recommend all of their desserts. We tried several of them, and they were all excellent. They will also help you pair your wine with your meal. Parking is plentiful right across the street where there is a lot. There's also street parking.

I had a surprise dinner here for my birthday and I ended up really enjoying my dinner!This restaurant is on the Michelin guide, so coming in, I had pretty high expectations. My husband and I ordered the Risotto Tartufo e Capesante and the Ravioli di Ricotta e Spinaci to share. The risotto was good and had a nice truffle flavor that I enjoyed, however, I wasn't blown away by this dish. I felt like the scallops to risotto ratio wasn't the best and I wish there were more scallops in it. On the other hand, the ravioli here was DIVINE and is something that I definitely recommend ordering! Everything about it was amazing and it may be one of the best ravioli dishes I've ever had. I was also given a complimentary dessert of my choice since it was my birthday. I ended up ordering the cheesecake and it delicious; it was unique because it was lighter than most cheesecakes since it was made from ricotta cheese.Service here is exceptionally good; I appreciated how our server went through the entire menu with us and shared her recommendations. She also checked up on us throughout the meal. The restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance and it's a place I'd say is really good for date night! There isn't a dedicated parking lot for this restaurant, however, finding street parking on a weeknight was not difficult when I came.
