Solana Beach Fish House

Good experience here and good vibes. Came in on a Thursday afternoon randomly because we were in the area. Lots of tables for a smaller-sized front of house, good seating arrangement. We had the grilled swordfish plate and the grilled halibut plate. Both were fresh and seasoned well. Not shy on the spices and herbs here! Brussels as a side is a must do. Overall very healthy and good size portions. Pricing was reasonable at an average of $25 for a grilled seafood plate with two sides. The server was really nice and attentive. She wasn't fake-nice either, more like, down-to-earth nice. Made the experience that much better. Very chill vibes.

Came in for a weekday lunch with friends. The waitress was very nice and kept checking up on us throughout the meal. I ordered the scallops burger on their lunch menu and the rest ordered off the regular menu. I thought my $14 burger was good but nothing special really. This place has a lot of good reviews though.

Omg this place is the bomb! I haven't had fish chips this good in a long time. Thank you guys for the amazing food and service. Can't wait to come back. At first you may think this place is strange location but once you go in it's like oh if you know you know! It's was busy with people in and out. We had fish and chips, lentil salad, red snapper. The owner was so humble. Also, walking distance from the beach.

Service is so great and the people working there are really nice. We got fish and chips and two grilled fish platters and everything came out very quickly and we loved it!!

Yum yum and yum! My friend raves about this place and took me recently. We sat outside. It's in a quiet parking lot. He had the chowder which was delicious! The spices were perfect in it. I had the paella. Again, the spices were delicious in it. I was disappointed though. For $25.00 you'd think there'd be more shellfish. Mine had one clam, the other one was empty, two mussels and two shrimp and three small chorizo slices. Lots of rice! I did like the green olives in it.

Really loved this little hole in the wall. The decor was fun, fish and chips 5/5, Cajun fish tacos 3/5, clam chowder 4/5, service 4/5. There is a lot to like about this little spot and so much on the menu I will be coming back for more!

Just had lunch at the Solana Beach Fish House. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and top notch service.I had the clam chowder and paella. Portions were excellent and really well done. My wife had the Ahi poke bowl. Also very good. Ellery provided super friendly and quick service. An overall great lunch for a rainy Saturday afternoon.

We had an amazing lunch here during the week. We were going for a casual place where we could sit outside. We managed to score one their few outdoor tables. The server was super friendly and helpful with advice for our selections. We ordered the salmon skewers which were incredible - perfectly cooked and so fresh. The teriyaki and garlic sauce was an unexpected combo I didn't realize I would love so much. Brussels sprouts hit the spot. We also had the fish and chips combo with fried oysters and calamari strips. Wow - we were pleasantly surprised with how they weren't too heavy and melted in our mouths. We will be back!

This place is deceivingly good! Located in a strip mall, looks like a cheapie place from the outside, but inside is excellent food: we had really good fish and chips and teriyaki salmon with extra strong garlic sauce (sooo good!!). There's no ambience, but it has fair prices for the qualify of the food. Definitely will eat there next trip to Solana Beach!

I've been here a couple of times in the last month! I crave the teriyaki salmon skewers. Everything is made fresh to order so please be patient. Here is a picture of the shrimp cocktail. It is a meal in itself! Super flavorful and just a great dish. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I will for sure keep coming back
