Smoke ‘N Peppers BBQ

This North Carolina native really brought out some A+ NC bbq to Southern California. Easy online order system, active Facebook page so you know what he has in store for the weekends menu, and just good down home food. We love his brisket, ribs, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. Looking forward to trying some of his other masterpieces such as ox tail, pulled pork, and pastrami! Very thankful to have found this fellow East Coaster out here!

There is nothing that you cannot order from here. From the mouth watering brisket to the tender, savory and luscious pulled pork. Smoke 'N Peopers has it all. First rate customer service , a friendly face, and top-notch barbecue. If you're looking for that East Coast southern swag, LOOK NO FURTHER.. they got it here. Hands-down the best barbecue joint in the South Bay ! I could eat here every weekend if my wallet allowed it

I have traveled all over California trying to rediscover the excellent "low and slow" BBQ that I experienced in Austin. Way too many places (and I've tried at least a dozen) don't cut it, but Smoke'N Peppers is the best I have found (other than Heritage, but that's a long drive north). The brisket was cooked to perfection... luscious and moist with a delicious crispy bark. And the ends were SOOOO good! It's so yummy that you only need a hint of the [very good] sauce. My boyfriend LOVED the mac & cheese as well. Kudos, as the quality of the sides are lacking at many SD joints. It's so obvious that a ton of effort and R&D has gone into developing what in my book is brisket perfection.

Bonus points for being 9 minutes away from me. This man is a BBQ craftsman; you will not be disappointed with his quality, home made fare. Easing Hubby off of red meat, but it's CHRISTMAS 2023! All I can say is, this is addicting. Thank you, Sir -- God's blessings to you, yours and all you hold near/dear.

If you are a serious barbecue fan, and look no further than Smoke 'N Peppers BBQ! I bought some brisket and literally ate the whole thing in the car ride home. It was fall apart tender and so flavorful! I give this place 2 thumbs up!

Best BBQ I've had in San Diego in the 22 years I've lived here. I'm a Texas girl and quickly found in San Diego that good BBQ is hard to find. I finally found it with Smoke 'N Peppers! The meat is never dry and always tender and juicy. Five stars!

Best brisket in San Diego thus far. So tender and moist it was hard to even slice it as JT was literally shredding as I tried. Dying to try the pastrami next.
