I have found my happy place! This is hands down the best brewery in Nashville that I have been to so far. Great beer, fresh and seasonal food, friendly and knowledgeable service, cute and pleasant ambiance, chill outdoor seating. What else you need! Also, a shout out to a very well made pizza base. This is surely gonna be on go-to place.

Visiting from out of town and pizza/ice cream/beer sounded great. Wish we would've picked a different place for one of our last nights in Nashville after our experience here.Arrived and ordered drinks. I got a beer (the IPA) and it was fine. Average. My husband doesn't drink so he just had water. Asked for ice.. turns out they don't have an ice machine? Seems a bit odd for a restaurant?Started with the garlic bread. It was decent but really just two thick slices of bread covered in garlic butter. The marinara it was served with was ice cold, causing a weird contrast with the bread. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with the "take it to prom" crust. The pizza came out SOOOO BURNT. Like the entire crust was black. I worked in the service industry for a very long time and I would have never dreamed of serving a pizza that looked like that. Upon having our first slices, we realized the take it to prom version of the crust was not there (they either forgot or it was charred off). Asked our waitress about it and she said "yeah, it's there." She then asked if we wanted a side of garlic butter. We said ok. We ordered dessert. The vanilla bean and the strawberry ricotta ice cream and two chocolate chip cookies. The cookies are made with some sort of wheat or something because they were sooo grainy and so dry. Also covered in sea salt. The ice cream tasted like it's been in the freezer for way too long. After all of this, the check came. Our waitress charged us $3 for the garlic butter she suggested when our pizza was lacking the taste of the crust we paid $2 extra for in the first place. So now we're $5 deep on this burnt to next week crust. Overall, wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. Should've just sent the pizza back because, while it's *just* $5, it's the principle of the situation. Instead of trying to cure the issue, she doubled down AND charged us extra.

Phenomenal pizza. And I'm extremely picky with my pies. Love the char from the high temp ovens. Service was great, beer was good. Location and layout inside was perfect. Parking kinda sucks. Will definitely be back.

I came to visit a friend in Nashville and she wanted to try this place. This will for sure be a place we come back to visit! The vibe was very good and I'm sure on a day that wasn't super rainy, it would be popping. It was a little too dark in the restaurant, but the staff was lovely. The food was a 9.9/10! The garlic bread was good, but unexpected. It was a wheat bread instead of white, but I love the tomato dip it came with. The fall salad was also good. The real winner was the pepperoni pizza. WOW! It was a perfect pizza. I will be thinking about it until I come back. The .1 was lost on the chocolate chip cookie we ordered (not pictured). It was horrible. Tasted like canned cheese. Not sure how that was possible

The staff is amazing. That is what brought us back to this place for sure. The beer selection isn't amazing and the pizza was incredibly burnt. I try not to write anything regarding food unless I've tried it twice, but there are multiple reviews about their burnt pizza, showing that they don't care to do anything about it. Like... SO burnt. The pizza would've been great if they took it out 5 minutes before they actually did. Again, the staff is amazing and the place overall is a good vibe.

Update! We visit the new incarnation of Smith & Lentz frequently. As a family, it straddles the line well between adult, tasty AF food and something the kids will eat. It's also lets the kids experience top tier pizza. As a Northeastern pizza snob, it is very important that my children understand the difference. What's even more important is that they understand there is room for both bad pizza and good pizza and that they can identify the difference. The ambiance is wonderful. I love the open kitchen. The addition of wine is stellar, especially the Averna. The teal MVP is their ice cream. We most recently had the honey sesame and please, sir, may I have some more? Do it often.

Cool ambiance, server was nice. Pizza was meh. I got the white pizza...it had way too much pepper and little flavor beyond that. Hubby got the pepperoni pizza, said it was good, dough was tasty, a little too greasy and definitely had flop to it. He added some toppings and that brought his pizza total up to $46. And no ice in the water, was just weird.

I've somehow missed this place until recently, meeting some friends for a celebration. There are some really great things about this place, some less great, thus averaging it out at a solid "3". First the good: really good beer. There are around a dozen of their own brews on draft-- some IPAs, some lagers, some stouts. I tried 3 and the "Turn on the Lights" (4.5) half-liter was my favorite as it's chocolatey with hints of toffee and coffee. All beers are $7 and this is more than fair. Other goods--to me, the pizza was pretty solid to almost great. We ordered the sausage and kale pie and my wife found it a bit too crispy around the edges (though the with the pizza oven on this thinish crust it's hard to not blacken at points so she understood) but our biggest issue with it was that the kale vastly outweighed the sausage. A LOT of kale (but good, crispy) and a little (tiny, minced) sausage. Bigger pieces in an equal measure with the kale (a little less) would have been good. Great sauce and cheese on this one, though. Also good--plenty of free parking in the area even on a weekend. Mostly good--we had the roasted cauliflower. It was very tasty, but a bit mislabeled. It wasn't "roasted" it was "lightly baked and/or sauteed". A mixture of broccoli and cauliflower with panko breading crumbs and a cream sauce. I could have used smaller chunks roasted more thoroughly. Okay, the less than great-- while service was super-friendly and efficient (our server checked on us often but not obtrusively, brought us fresh drinks quickly, served the food fast, etc.) they could have taken a big step in being simpler with the check. As we were a group of 12 or so, they let us know it had to be on one check making us all photograph the check and venmo the couple who paid the tab. Why not just take our orders as if we were at our own table as we ordered? Super simple and doesn't put the onus on the customer. Pricing--about 20% higher on food than many other similar options. That's about the gist of it. I'd definitely come back, probably for a different pizza and a beer or two.

We went on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Their outside patio was very nice and shaded. We were served quickly too. The beers were delicious and cold. I wish they had a few more options for appetizers, but the pepperoni pie was DELICIOUS! The crust was crispy and light. The sauce was flavorful and had a good amount of cheese. I do wish it had a little more spice. Side note: The pizza the next day was the best cold pizza we had ever had.
