Smiley Thai and Sushi

Tried this place for the first time today! Wow! Absolutely delicious! I'd come here again when in the area.

We stopped in for lunch today but due to the lack of social distancing ordered take out instead. I had Yum Talay or seafood salad. It had shrimp, squid and mussels that were all large and delicious. Served on a bed of lettuce and greens. The dressing was mild (I asked for a 3 spice level) . Overall a great salad. My SO had Tom Kah soup that was a creamy coconut soup with chicken, mushrooms, onions and cilantro. It had a kick (also asked for a 3 spice level) wonderful soup.Her salad was the Larb Gai salad. Mild like mine, it had minced chicken rice, onion mint in a mild sauce .

Our gang of four enjoyed our Thai and Japanese lunch. Friendly, attentive service. Family restaurant.We ordered both Thai and Japanese entrees including Pad Thai with Rice Noodles and Tofu, and Shrimp Tempura Bento Box. Some entrees come with soup, salad, or soup and salad. Would order again. Also ordered the Miso Soup and House Salad with Ginger Dressing. Appetizing presentation.Some selection of draught beers.We asked that they raise the heat after we arrived soon after opening, and they did. By noon on a Tuesday, the restaurant was full.Open daily, lunch and dinner. A lunch special menu offered, Mon-Fri.Simple decor. Located in a nondescript strip mall adjacent to Mt Juliet Wine & Spirits. Private parking lot. Small Gripe: No beer list, no wine list, no drink list, and no price list.

Food was amazing, some of the best pad Thai I've ever had! The service was great as well, and everyone was super nice. It's super clean and spacious, can't wait to try other stuff on the menu!!

Never been here before. My husband wanted to try it out bc he knows how much I love Asian food. They have a combination of Japanese dishes like sushi and Thai dishes like Drunken noodles.The vibe is causal and intimate. It's not a large recent but the people are very nice. Everyone we encountered was super nice. My husband's vegan so he did veggie spring rolls and vegetable fried rice (no egg). He really enjoyed his food. I had beef pho and the broth was delicious!! I will definitely be coming back.

Visiting my daughter in Mt. Juliet and the three of us decided on Thai for our first night at Smiley Thai and Sushi restaurant.I started with the wonton soup and we shared an order of steamed dumplings. The dumplings were very tasty but the wonton soup was odd. I've never had peas in my wonton soup before and it was an unwelcome addition. There was more "stuff" than broth. Just simply odd.I had the Prawn Pad Thai and the presentation was unexpected. There were two large prawns, in their shells, on top of the rice noodles. It was messy getting them out but the dish tasted good. My daughter had a sushi roll (see pic) and a noodle dish while my one day son in-law had a fried rice dish. The service was friendly and there seemed to be plenty of parking.

This was my second time at Smiley Thai and Sushi. I ordered the Beef Pho and thought it was really good. Very flavorful and they bring lots of great sauces you can mix in with it if you choose to.My son-in-law ordered 3 rolls the Godzilla role, the dynamite roll and the tiger roll and said they were all very good.Overall, the service was good, and the servers were nice. The restaurant is a little loud and it's a little hard to hear people at your table speak at times. But we enjoyed our experience and the food was very good.

I haven't been here for a few months and I am really disappointed. The sushi rolls have gone up substantially in price and are much smaller than before. I ordered the garlic beef stir fry and it was OK. My husband got the chicken teriyaki but was served beef teriyaki which he would have been ok with but the beef was very tough. We ordered miso soup and had to ask for it later in the meal because they didn't bring it. It was over $100 for three people and I don't feel like there was good value for the money. The server was nice but didn't check on us.

This is my second time here and it is wonderful. I got the yellow curry today with chicken and my wife got the beef pho. Both dishes were great! Jenny was our server today and she was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Food was okay here, but the restaurant was small and tables were to close together. Service was good and waiter was very helpful.
