Smarty Pants

Came here over the weekend and was able to get seated right away. On the weekends, they serve brunch, but we opted for lunch when we were there. They have an extensive menu with salads, sandwiches, and other various food choices. I ordered the french dip and it was the best french dip sandwich I've ever had. The au jus was very flavorful and the bread had a good crunch to it. My husband ordered the Chicago Italian beef sandwich, which was also very good. I would highly recommend coming here and definitely plan to come back.

Came for a beer and it was a cool atmosphere. The beer came quickly and I also got some nachos to munch on while drinking the beer. I can't speak for the rest of the menu but the nachos were good. Service was good and I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Stopped by for some grub - just got a cocktail and pulled port sandwich. Personally never had a pulled ports sandwich I didn't like, but I thought the potato salad was great! Very simple but well done. Cool dive bar feel with heavy and light meal options. One of my go to rainy day spots

A motorcycle themed bar and sandwich shop near a record store and some other shops. I stopped late at night and had a beer and some eats. I ordered the tangerine turmeric beer which was light and crisp. For food, I settled on Ms Piggy, a French roll filled with pulled pork, slaw, cheese and bbq sauce. Maybe not the best to eat before bed but was quickly downed it was so good. My only complaint was that I ordered chili for the side and got the potato salad. It wasn't enough of an issue to mention and the potato salad was an option I considered. Service otherwise was quick.

'Ello Chaps,So the name Smarty Pants for some reason conjured up some notion that perhaps I was stumbling into a vegan or vegetarians' hot spot or the like - not really sure why - but the least expecting what some biker grub bar of sort. No no, not a Hell's Angel's kind of biker bar, but a motocross themed kind of restaurant and bar.The theming isn't over the top to but a turn on or turn off, and really it doesn't matter. From weekend brunch to M-F regular mainstays, they've got a great menu with a diverse set of offerings - vegetarian and gluten free too. Burgers galore, French dip, etc. Like it hot? They've got sauces. Loved everything about this place. Just a good neighborhood spot that hit the spot when hungry and craving a burger. Overall I give Smarty Pants Garage four stars out of five.

Service was great and fast and they have a very large outdoor space thats comfortable and would be good for groups! It's a little pricy though and I would recommend beers/ciders/seltzers over mixed drinks. Food is okay but nothing to write home about. Not a bad experience by any means but probably wouldn't pick it over other options.

Bar / restaurant / biker hangout. It's definitely a find; sammies, burritos, breakfast items, a little bit of something for everyone. We opted to share a chicken sammie of sorts, with a veggie relish on a toasted roll, served with chips & salsa; quite tasty . Definitely will be back.

I love the menu and the food at Smarty Pants. The vibe is fun and it's a relaxing, comfortable place.The service is....OK. The servers are always friendly but there is not a ton of hustle.They are also weird about cash. I paid my bill with cash and exact change. The server wouldn't take the change and told me it's because they "just round it". When she brought my change back, it was less than I should have gotten because they round the amount owed up. It's a dumb policy.

Cane in tonight for the first time . We were gonna go to A place down the street but they were having a Christmas party, so we came to Smarty Pants and we are so glad we did!! Service was fantastic and the food came out quickly. We had the "Gringa" and the "Troublemaker". Both were delicious! The French roll they used was light on the inside and had a delicate crispy crust. The crowd is loud and fun....which is what you expect. We are definitely coming back to Smarty Pants!

After a multi year absence, I met a friend here tonight for happy hour and - as far as the Georgetown dive bar scene goes - Smarty Pants didn't disappoint. It's still got that under-the-freeway vibe, strong drinks, a great taplist, and tasty eats. The service is more than friendly, and it's an excellent place to people watch as various local characters stroll the sidewalk outside. Overhead, 80s hair bands rock the speakers. Because, after all, you gotta fight for your right to parrrrrtayyyyy!Thanks, Smarty Pants, for still being you.
