One of my favorite breakfast spots in Houston. Great coffee and delicious breakfast tacos. They have a cilantro sauce that is wonderful!

So my order from slow pokes did come from Uber eats and was warm when I received it. Overall, I was not blown away by the food. The ham and cheese croissant was okay and I think could have been great BUT it was over toasted. It had some black marks and one side was beyond flaky crust. It was just burnt tasting. I would love to taste this one again in person and fresh. The grilled pesto panini seemed to be a little chewy pretzel bread wise and the pesto was just thrown on one corner side of sandwich. So when I took a hit there it was a slap to the taste buds just my opinion. I will try to go again in person to Slow pokes. I am very much a coffee person and I must admit I didn't order any. For now, I'd say this is 3 out of 5 with room for improvement. -R

Discovering this gem of a coffee spot was like stumbling upon a hidden treasure in my mailbox! Who knew my caffeine haven was just a hop, skip, and a jump away? The vibes here are spot-on--think modern meets mid-century with a touch of chic flair. It's the kind of place where you can cozy up with your laptop for two hours of Wi-Fi goodness, courtesy of your receipt. And for busy bees like me, their online ordering and pickup service is a lifesaver! Now, let's talk treats: while the charcuterie boards look like a work of art, the wine menu could use a bit of a boost--though I did manage to find a couple of sips worth savoring. As for the coffee, the slowpoke latte was a taste sensation! You can practically feel the freshness in every sip, proving that quality truly reigns supreme here.

My friend and I arrived at 8AM as they opened to grab a quick breakfast and coffee. They opened right on time and welcomed us inside. The kitchen was not yet ready to start making breakfast so there was a bit of a delay but it wasn't a problem. I ended up ordering a coffee and then something from their bakery case as all of the croissants and pastries looked delicious! My friend ordered off the true breakfast menu and then also got a latte. Her items did take a very long time to come out, but that's because of the earlier noted delay in the kitchen. They don't seem to have simple things that you may expect them too (butter and jam) but you can't complain as that's not a menu item. The cafe quickly filled up with people and offered a very friendly but casual atmosphere. We will absolutely be back!

Such a cutely themed coffee shop!Came for coffee and we saw a lot of people working and chilling in this place. Awesome ambiance. Fun themed "slowpokes" animals pictures like turtle, snail, and sloths (personal fav animal!). I tried their lavender coffee and thought it was delicious! We didn't get to try any food this time but I wish I did! Looking around at others people's plate. Droools

Thirty two minutes to get three tacos to go. Absurd. When they gave the food they said they only had one person in the kitchen - if you know you are understaffed give your customers the courtesy of letting them know when they are ordering! We would have understood and chosen to just get coffee. Instead, we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for a small amount of food which ruined the convenience of the walk up window.

Super chill "we all work from home" vibes. I like that. I may come back. This could jump to a 4 star if they kept it generally cleaner. Otherwise nice coffee shop and nice people. dark/woodsy aesthetic

Slowpokes is one of my favorite coffee chains - and I love that it's local to Houston! Coffee is strong with a good amount of unique flavored specialty lattes (we tried the seasonal cherry bomb and the normal menu purple rain - both great and not too sweet). Seating at this location leaves a bit to be desired - lots of booths that aren't very comfy, it is plentiful though. The food is the reason I keep coming back - everything is so good! Huge menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. As a newly gluten free and dairy free person it was a bit hard to navigate, but for one or the other there are tons of options. I ended up with breakfast tacos and they were great! Service is always with a smile, and I've never had a bad experience. Only downside for working here is that the WiFi is only good for two hours after a purchase so it's not an all day type of situation.

This is the 3rd Slowpokes we've visited and this one's great. We picked up a hot large cappuccino with 2 splendas and an iced coffee drink and a salted chocolate chip cookie and a bag of their inhouse roast, Papa Chiapas, whole beans 'cause I like to grind my own, they have a roast date on each bag....me likey! None of their locations do a frozen blended coffee drink, could ya'll fix that please?!

Great chat with Phil about Fleetwood Mac today after work. I got destroyed here in chess last summer by some of the master chess players at Poison Pawns chess club, which had met at this location at 6PM on Wednesdays for years.Love this coffee chain, better than Summer Moon. More comfortable, too.
