Sleepy's Po-Boys

The restaurant is closed. We drove there twice only to be disappointed. The website promised great New Orleans food. Too bad it didn't make it work.

This is soooooo delicious and the customer service is absolutely incredible. It's a very chill vibe inside and I can't begin to explain how delicious this food is!!! I also had the voodoo rolls but ate them too quickly to take a picture. Omg Heaven in your mouth. The flavor is outstanding. Thank y'all so much. I can't wait to come back and eat more!!

This was by the house. Food was fresh and HOT. They have a full bar and oyster area. Looked good. Server was so nice and on point. Can't wait to go back with the family and have a drink and oysters. I was told on the Southside this place is boomen every weekend.

Food great.Service, slow and extremely inattentive . It took 45 minutes for our food to come out. II had to go ask for refills of Ice-T. Had to ask for more napkins for a roast beef Poboy. The tip is automatically added as a "" service fee of 20% to your order. It removes the the. Incentive for a good service. Buyer beware!

Good place to watch football and enjoy good food. We waited a long time for our food but it was worth it.

Was told kitchen was closed with 50 mins left open. Sadly disappointed especially after being highly recommended.

The food was very good! I enjoyed my meal and so did my friends. We all had fried fish and loved it!!! We will be back!

This Sleepy's (unlike its original location near NRG) is a table service restaurant. This location has plenty of parking available as it's located in a big shopping center. Inside it's attractively decorated with a New Orleans Mardi Gras theme and also has a full bar. I ordered a shrimp po boy ($13.75) for lunch and made it a combo ($3.50) with fries and a drink. The food came out about 15 minutes later.The 10" bun was cut in half and was dressed. The bread was soft and the medium size shrimp fried but it seemed to me a little salty. Not too bad but noticeable. I thought it was an average tasting po boy. The fries needed ketchup and didn't stand out to me. This meal was barely a 3 score for me. Another observation was that the restaurant was almost empty and yet the waitress seemed to spend much more time in the kitchen than in the dining room. The table service was non attentive.When presented with my bill I noticed that an 18% gratuity had been added. At the bottom of the receipt was a notice that for parties of 1 or more the gratuity is added. In other words everyone gets charged this. I guess they have a problem with guests not tipping at all?That's not the worst part. On the receipt is another section with the standard tipping recommendations of 15,18, 20 and 25% that you see on most receipts nowadays. So if you aren't paying attention and notice you have been automatically charged 18% you will add another full regular tip. I asked my waitress about this and she said she had not noticed that and would mention it to the manager. Yeah, right! For that reason and the food being barely passable I give a 2 score for Sleepy's. I don't plan on returning.

My friend and I are from New Orleans and she told me she passed by this place and we had to try it out. The food was very good and the service was as well. They were a little understand but they definitely made up for it in personality. The Ambiance is laid back and sports bar like. We were very comfortable there. We had the catfish and shrimp po boys with french fries and Char grilled oysters. Everything taste like home and they even had big shot cold drinks! That alone will get you four stars! We plan on definitely coming back and we really enjoyed it.

Food is amazing!! I came here by default but so glad I came. I ordered the seafood voodoo rolls, boudin balls and gumbo and it was mouth watering with flavor. I'm definitely coming back here.
