Slappy's Burgers & Brews

I didn't want to wait in line at Hodads on Saturday so I looked for something similar and this is the place. A hidden gem on Plaza across from the barbecue pit.Their onion rings made it home to IB and we're still hot and crunchy. I was worried they would be soggy and nope so much crunch and very good. Ranchbis homemade ++The burgers could have been easily shared with someone else. No one finished their burgers. They were cooked to order with fresh tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, lettuce, and special house sauce. We added ketchup and their ranch and man oh man they give Hodad a run for their money.This is our new burger place for extra large burgers and amazing sides. The seasoned fries were gently seasoned and fried so the inside was still soft. Same for the tots, nice crunch on them.

This is a hidden gem for burgers. They still ask how well they should cook our burger patty. Medium well for us please! Today Hubby ordered a double cheeseburger with grilled onions, fries and a Coke. I ordered a hamburger with onion rings and a Coke. It came to $47 and change. There is something about the flavor of their burger patty that keeps us coming back whenever we are in town. Service is great here. There is a sit-down side of the restaurant and a bar/lounge side but it is family-friendly. The only thing you should know is that it is a small parking lot, so accept it before you come in hot and hangry :) Not that I know from experience.

Decided to give this place a try , did not disappoint Food was delicious Service was great, the mojitos were amazing they have tv screens everywhere which is great Also family friendly We ordered the slappys tots , spring rolls , slappys burger , double bacon cheeseburger, kids mini corn dogs & nugget meals Our total was 150 But it was worth every dollar!

There are many place that6 have some of the best hamburgers there are some that have flame grilled yet there is one place that I had discovered that has so much more even the desert at the end of the meal for a low price that looks very tempting when it comes to Hot Fudge and brownies. There is one question that when yo0u come to any burger place is the strength of the burger and the size of the burger is that going to be supported by the bun and the additional ingredients? Today was one of the best days many times that when I have taken the bus and passed the restaurant of the location with the many smaller stores that are in the midst of the East Plaza Blvd. Getting out of an appointment in the lunch time hour to go all the way home to get lunch when your close by the many restaurants looking over at the Slappy's Burgers and Brews. Walking over from the bus stop and looking to see the advertisements for the lunch and the happy hour specials that got my attention the feel of the restaurant gave ma the Indication that it was a sports bar and the tables that were outside it gave me more of a description of the restaurant. I walked in the front door of Slappy's Burgers and Brews I was greeted by the bartender waitress that she was tending the bar and the tables at the same time. I had heard so much of the restaurant with the many burgers and the finger foods they have when you have curiosity that wants to explore is you have to see and explore. Slappy's Is one of the best places with the Best Burgers and some of the greatest French Fries with flavored crispy French Fries they serve with the thick Burgers with the best toppings and grilled the way you want it. One of the best servers and Bartenders to see a waitress do both at the same time Bernadette great welcome taking my order and getting it going the service time was under 8 minutes I had requested a well done it was done and cooked perfectly. Ordering a Dr Pepper the server brought me a large cold Dr Pepper that was one of the best and the soda was perfect she told they serve Coke Products. Today and the lunch at the Slappy's Burgers was the best lunch that I have ever had one of the best burgers that I could taste the grill flavor with the size of the patty and the flavor I would have to say that Slappy's Burgers and Brews is one of the best. For the location of the restaurant is a great place to have great company parties and the afterwork company and the fantastic happy hours. For if you like to bring the kids they do have highchairs for the kids, or you can do the outside tables for more seating they do serve outside. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, for the many restaurants that I have been to there are a few places that have some of the best burgers, yet I have found that with the great customer service and the best food with the best ingredients Slappy's Burgers and Brews has taken the top place for having a great Bacon Cheeseburger that is #1. With the great location with other restaurants nearby where can you find a sports bar that has ten TVS and some of the best food prices that can make a great happy hour with fellow coworkers or to have great party for the brothers.

Need a place to watch a game? Slappy's has tons of tv's and shows many different games.Complimentary soda water was bubbly and refreshing. Loved the light flavor.Onion rings were crunchy and had a tasty onion flavor.Fried chicken wings were tender and moist. I picked the lemon pepper flavor and I liked the lemon and pepper flavor. These were good wings but my favorite wings are the salt and pepper wings a block away at Golden Chopsticks.My server was friendly and provided great service.

This place is perfect for an entire family. Service is fast. They serve milkshakes too. But burgers and sandwiches are so good! Fries are perfect too, crunchy and perfect amount of salt.

Passed by this restaurant thousands of times, I never went in. Today I decided to give it a go, so glad I did, first of all there is plenty of space, big tables and plenty of room, they also have a lot of tvs. The star of the show was the food, incredible sandwiches and fries are a 10/10. They have brews too. The young server and bartender where very attentive and they took care of me. I will definitely becoming back next week with my brother. The Michelada was superb. Thank you. Try the BLT on sourdough, the blt was packed full of bacon!!!

Coming the day of the Super Bowl my boyfriend and I got there just in time before the big game. Our server Meliza was super attentive although busy inside. She made sure to check on us and ask if we need anything. Our food was super good, and flavorful. I loved the appetizers they were so fresh and yummy!! The burgers were definitely 10/10 we were only able to eat half the burger because everything was so filling. The restaurant/sports bar is really cool plenty of seating and TV's everywhere so you can watch any game you can really think of !! Will definitely be back, great service and food.

Came in with some work colleagues to have lunch. Started off with some buffalo wings which were good. Some of my coworkers had a milkshake which were massive which I was suspicious of when I saw they were 10 dollars a piece initially but after seeing them, it's worth the price. I had the blue cheese bacon burger which was good as well as the fries. Would come back again.

Had a BLT and they did NOT skimp on the bacon! Was delicious and a lot of bacon. The service was really good too. Check the place out if you are in National City.
