Sista White's Cafe

I haven't visited this location yet and have just discovered it. I was a regular customer to the Freeport location and it is one of my favorites. My trips to Freeport have been very few and far between and I miss it.I cannot really give the Lake Jackson location a rating but will update once I try it. That will not be in the too distant future.

It's been so long since I've had Sista White's and I was truly surprised and happy to see that they've opened a new location, this one in an unassuming strip mall in Lake Jackson. This location is run on a food stand concept, so there are no tables and everything is takeout.Even though there's a kitchen area in the back, all the meats and sides seem to be pre-made (probably at the Freeport location) and taken to this location for cutting and serving, similar to the Brian's/Fill Station concept. I got the 2-meat plate with brisket and ribs, which comes with 2 sides, I got mac & cheese and corn. I was just a bit disappointed they didn't have their delicious coleslaw at this location. Everything was neatly packed in a to-go box and ziplock bags for easy transport. But oh man, the brisket and ribs taste just as good as I remember them at the restaurant. This is the barbecue I've truly missed down here! Burnt ends of the brisket are crispy and flavorful, and the ribs are super meaty and moist. Deliciousness! The meat had a lot of fat in it, but I prefer that on barbecue because that's what packs the flavor and juiciness.I hope they expand their selections to include more of the original sides and more bbq dishes. Also might want to consider sturdy plastic to-go containers with this place being to-go only. Some of the sides and bbq grease can be messy and seep out of the styrofoam containers. I don't want to waste any of the delicious meat juice if I don't have to!

The BOMB enough said food is great. Best in the area need more locations the one lake Jackson is closed.

Good Lord this is the best BBQ hands down. I'm from Mississippi and I have a fair share of BBQ from Mississippi and Memphis and let me tell you. That dry rub is outstanding. It's even better the next day. The bbq sauce is perfect and just a tab bit sweet. I don't like tangy sour bbq sauce so it's perfect for me. I got ribs, brisket, sausage and chicken. Everything had a snow ring. You can tell this was done with a pit and not that new stuff they be doing at these other places when they don't smoke the meat long and good enough. When I want bbq I want bbq. If I want meat with bbq sauce I can just cook that at home. But now when I'm lazy and don't fill like bbqing I can just drop by here and get y fix. Oh yeah the green veggies were good also. Plus the customer service is amazing. It's a small lil spot but who cares as long as the service and food is good. I might go by there today. I just moved here in sept of 2022.

Food is always great and the lady at the counter was so nice.I recommend the brisket Mac n cheese and the chopped beef sandwiches are great as well.You won't be disappointed if you order the banana pudding either it's so good.
