My Fiance and I visited for our Thursdate. We got the chicken pad Thai, walnut shrimp , vegan rangoon and the ube smores cookie. The food was a 10/10. The service was 11/10. Josh was really friendly and accommodating. The vibes were welcoming. It was a little stuffy, but the ceiling fans helped it. Overall, we had an amazing experience for vegetarian/vegan food. Would come back just to try the different types of cookies they have.

My mom used to take me here back when we lived off of Balboa, and now I bring all my vegetarian friends here! The entire restaurant is 100% vegetarian with plenty of vegan options. It's one of San Diego's only Asian veggie places! Hidden surreptitiously in the corner of the lot right off the freeway, it's surprisingly delicious. I'm not vegetarian, but I definitely find my way here if I'm in the area on a balmy summer day, and meat options would be too heavy. When you walk in, the restaurant gives you vibes Asian hippie vibes in the best of ways. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The dish plates are really cool As far as the food, I am always satisfied. I'm definitely a fan of the bao and the mock duck, and with the portion sizes they bring to the table, even my boyfriend's bottomless stomach pit is sated having him happily sigh and unbuttoning his pants. It's one of the San Diego veggie treasures!

I have been going here with my husband since 20 years ago. The business is multigenerational and has tried and true recipes - and new stuff as well. I love this place! My daughter has been coming here when she was in my stomach - and she ate her way through childhood here. She was born a vegetarian and really has an attachment here. Ties. They spoiled her when she was little and now she's going off to university - I hope they have someplace just as wonderful as SIpZ at MSU. Thank you for providing us with wonderful meals all these years. Hubby and I went there tonight - it used to be packed - like a huge wait - before the pandemic. Now you can get a table - everyone's working at home, so the lunch crowd is down - and you can get an amazing table. You can also call something in! I have exciting news - empanadas are on the menu - fresh made, wonderful! With an amazing savory sauce - seriously, it is amazing!!! My new favorite!!! I got pho with chicken nuggets that were so yummy!!! Just tried something a new way - amazing!!!!!

I went about an hour before closing. The rest of my group got there later. Even though we were there late to eat, they were attentive & nice to all of us. There are so many choices that can be customized. The apps were okay. I prefer my "Chicken" Drumsticks done another one, but still good, especially if you like crunch. I enjoyed the Summer Rolls, which normally I don't care for. I didn't get pics of the main courses that we ate, but I do remember enjoying the Kung Pao "Chicken" & the Watermelon Refresher. We also grabbed dessert to go. I took Ube cookies for my friends who didn't go & they loved them. I had the vegan Cheesecake with raspberry sauce the next day, still delectable. They didn't rush us at any point, so that was nice. I will be coming back next time I'm in the San Diego area.

I have been dying to try this place because I am trying to become vegetarian. I love Asian food and thought this place was super unique, because it served vegetarian Asian fusion. There is a ton of seating inside and it was pretty crowded. There is a ton of options on the menu and I was amazed to see how many Asian cuisines there were, from Thai food to Vietnamese food to Chinese food. I ordered two of their bestsellers, the salt and pepper tofu and tangy orange "chicken". The food came out in about 10 minutes and the service was great. The servings are massive for the reasonable price and the food tasted so fresh. I loved how the tofu was slightly crispy, but not overly fried. It had a subtle salt and pepper seasoning and there was lettuce and broccoli in the bowl. The tangy orange "chicken" had the most flavorful sauce and it really did taste like chicken. I wasn't able to tell the difference. Each dish came with a side of rice which was nice. The bakery options are also incredible. I had to get the ube cake and a pandan coconut cookie. Both tasted super fresh and were not overly sweet. There are so many other desserts like cupcakes, brownies, and banana bread. Also, there are a ton of cookie flavors like Funfetti, mint oreo, ube marshmallow, red velvet, etc. I had such a great experience and I would definitely come back. I want to try their drunken noodles and yellow curry. I highly recommend coming here!! The workers are super sweet and the food is absolutely delicious, especially for the price!!

Came here for a quick lunch break, and have been here a few other times over the years. Crazy to think that Sipz can probably now be considered an OG in the vegan/vegetarian scene in San Diego, but they've been around for a hot minute now.Food: I'm not a vegetarian/vegan food connoisseur by any means so my word on the food can be taken with a grain of salt, but I find the food at Sipz to be solid (and good if comparing to other vegan spots). This time, I ordered the Drunken Noodles, and for me personally it could've used a little more seasoning for the noodles specifically, but otherwise it was well made. In previous trips, I have gotten a variety of other dishes and never had a poor item. They also offer cakes/pastries so for my friends that are more dietary cautious, I have come here to pick up cakes on special occasions. They also offer other goodies like vegan jerky, "pork" buns, and crackers. I forget which days specifically these are served, but they also open up a vegan sushi menu on select days of the week and I typically miss those days so I would want to try it in the future. Ambiance: Sipz keeps a straight forward approach - check in at the front counter for dine in or take-out, take a seat, and enjoy the meal when it comes out. It's a decently sized place so there is plenty of seating for dine in. The place us kept clean. Sipz is located in a strip mall so parking is typically very easy. Service: the workers/servers here have always been very polite and accommodating. They were really nice about me switching from take out to dining in. My order took a little over 5 minutes to finish which is awesome because I only had 30 minutes for my lunch break. In summary, Sipz is a solid option regardless if you are a vegetarian/vegan or not, and on my list for future lunch breaks whenever I'm in the area. It is easy to get to and park, food is good, and service is accommodating and efficient. Nothing fancy or trendy, just straight to the point and efficient and sometimes that's all you need.

A vegan Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in SD Tried the Oriental Salad, Drunken Noodles, Thai Curry, and Tom Kha. Unfortunately, the Tom Kha was so good when I took my first sip that I filled the majority of my stomach with just the soup and only tried some of the other dishes. I'm very much a noodles type of person so I was really curious how the Drunken Noodle would taste. It did not disappoint but it definitely tastes a bit sweeter than what I'm used to. I got duck with it which I would have traded for chicken in retrospect. The chicken in the Thai Curry dish was soooo good and so well seasoned. My favorite part of the salad was the fried tofu! It was a good fix and was refreshing in comparison to the sweeter dishes we had on the table. Appreciated the friendliness of the owners and the fast service. Will definitely come back to try a dish that is recommended on the menu by the owners next time!

We've come here at least three times in the past month, the food is probably the best vegan/vegetarian I have ever had in SD. They are generous with portions and service is attentive and kind. Our favorites are the "shrimp" drunken noodles, the crispy "shrimp" appetizer, eggplant delight, and the kung pao "chicken". They also make a great Thai tea! We will definitely be back!

This is our go-to place for office lunch with my friend/coworker who is a vegetarian/occasional pescatarian. We usually get our order to go, since that helps with cutting down on time when you have a short lunchbreak. It also helps with your leftovers, since they do a great job of packaging things separately. My usual seems to be Nuts About Veggies, since I love peanut sauce (and peanut butter in general, lol). I usually choose fried tofu as a protein, since it's a little more interesting than the steamed stuff. The large mass of steamed veggies made 3 small meals, since I added a little extra as side dishes. I also added more chopped peanuts when I reheated it, to give it more crunch.I have also had the eggrolls before, and they're really good. My coworker reads to order drunken noodles, and seems to like those. It's a little pricey (3 entrees cost us almost $50), but it's high quality. And if you're paying cash, you can get a peach iced tea for free.It located right next to the 805, so you have to make a u-turn to access the shopping center if you're heading West on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The center has several other restaurants like STP, and Ma's House.
