We visited the newly opened place based on the review. This is a small place with handful number of tables, yet managed clean. The staff were friendly. The orders took longer than expected to arrive but they were worth it. Note that weekday lunch menu is very limited but also 20% cheaper. If you like to explore their full menu, you should try this place for dinner.Pineapple fried rice - 5 starsNot your ordinary fried rice. I loved the flavors were unique from regular pineapple fried rice from other places. A bit tangy, spicy and sticky - I loved to try. Crab Wontons - 5 starsYes this is the highlight. I lovedd them that I ordered one more. The cheese was melting inside the hot and crispy wontons.Ambience - 4 starsThis is a small place so don't expect great Ambience. The tables were close to each other. However the staff were nice and attentive.

Sip Thai is back! After they closed their original location in Redmond due to a fire from an adjacent restaurant, they have since opened two new locations - in Issaquah (near the theatre) and now, in Kirkland (west Totem Lake area, near QFC). Renamed as Sip Thai Zooom, the menu is very similar. The interior is brightly lit and has the same jolly orange accents as before, along with their napkins, chopsticks, and spoons also orange color. Two people serviced the dining room as well as prepared the to-go orders, one of which I recognized as the same proprietor lady from the Redmond restaurant. Both provided bubbly and helpful service. On a Saturday night one hour before closing, the restaurant has two occupied tables and a steady stream of take-outs. The interior has several small tables and counter seating. I don't recommend dining in for more than 4 people. For menu, see online; it is accurate. Parking is plentiful at the strip mall location. The Food:Chiang Mai Noodles, $18.99 - 5 StarsTheir northern Thai style egg noodles soup in a coconut curry broth with veggies was their signature dish previously and is still the best. Not too thick, not too thin, it has just the right consistency to be considered a noodle soup but not excessively potent, either. Served with a choice of protein (chose chicken), it was delightful to have their version of this dish again.Drunken Noodles, $16.99 - 4.5 StarsThis classic spicy wide rice noodles with veggies and choice of protein (chose soft tofu) very much hit the spot. While the noodles had a nice flame (wok hei) to them, I took off half a star because several pieces didn't separate. The wok-flipping chef would be able to separate the noodles evenly.Papaya Salad, $14.99, + $6.00 for grilled prawns - 3 StarsThe salad overall tasted good. They padded their papaya salad with regular salad greens, so we didn't get as much shredded papaya as I normally would. The added $6 for 4 poached-then-lightly-grilled prawns is not recommended for both quality and cost. It lacked flame and flavor. Tom Yum soup, $6.99 (cup size) - 4 StarsThe classic spicy and sour lemongrass soup (chose soft tofu for protein) hits the spot with all the expected flavor profiles. Delicious.Tom Kha soup, $6.99 (cup size) - 4 Stars The other classic Thai coconut soup (chose chicken for protein) provides a creamy alternative to Tom Yum. This hits the spot, too.Thai Ice Tea, $4.99, Lychee Thai Tea, $5.50 - 4 StarsThe Thai ice tea is pleasantly less sweet than most other places. The Lychee Thai tea was very refreshing with the hit of lychee. Recommend both.

I ordered lunch to go here today and this place was packed!! It's new, brightly colored and decorated inside. It's on the small size but that just makes the space more cozy. I ordered the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and pineapple fried rice. Both were vegetarian and a 3 for spicy. I really liked the drunken noodle dish and I would have that again. The fried rice was good it just so happens the drunken noodles were really hitting the spot, ha! Lunch is a couple bucks cheaper per entree on the lunch menu. The lunch menu is a little more limited in options versus the dinner menu. They do close from 2:30-4pm and reopen for dinner service, fyi.

We were so happy to see the new location open a little closer to our house. We've been regular customers since they first opened in Redmond and then when they moved to Issaquah. Unfortunately, that is a bit of a drive for us but we happily made it for such great food. With this new location we have another option and are very excited that they are now open. This is by far our favorite Thai restaurant and we thoroughly love their food and teas. The owner and staff are incredible and have always been very friendly and welcoming. We have loved every dish that we have tried and some of my favorites are the Fisherman's Rice, Phad See-Ewe, Crispy Chicken and Black Pepper Beef. That said, you can't go wrong with any order. They are all amazing!

Yummy Thai food and a good addition to Kirkland. The standout of this restaurant for me was the fun drinks they offered... interesting tea flavors and yummy boba. Very good service as well with incredibly friendly staff. Only reason for the 4 stars is because it's not my favorite Thai in the area, but it's still very good and a cute experience.

I went in for dine in lunch around 1:30 pm. All tables were full, but I was alone so sitting at the bar was a good option. The staff was super friendly. I ordered a cup of Tom Yum soup with chicken and the lunch portion of Pad Thai with prawns, both medium spicy. The meal was served quickly after a few minutes. I was in Thailand about a month ago and the flavors of both dishes were authentic. I was quite happy with both the rich exotic flavors and the portions. I was ready to give a 5 star review until I reviewed the bill. The total cost of the lunch without tax and tip was about $26. The 4 medium sized prawns in the Pad Thai cost $4.50 extra. I was glad I had ordered water to drink or my lunch, after tax and tip, likely would have been almost $40. Excellent food, great service, and premium prices.

I love their Tom Yum noodles soup. You may want their glass-noodle instead of regular rice noodles. Tasty and healthy!

This is the new location in Kirkland but nothing else changed. The same great tasting Thai cuisine with very friendly staff. There are lots of Thai restaurants nowadays but I think most of them tend to use just too much sweet , salt and etc to overpower the natural taste coming from the fresh ingredients. This is how Sip Thai differs. Not too sweet and salty but well balanced dish will satisfy your taste buds. It is a very small restaurant that may sit 20 people or so. For a large group it may not be suitable.

Been here several times now. Good food, realistic prices. Definitely a more sweet forward Thai than spicy. I've actually upped my spice level to 5/5 there and I still don't find it to be very spice. Pleasant after burn on the lips though

Found this place by chance. Small but clean. I tried their Green Curry Avocado and chicken with a mid-spice level...the curry has a smooth creamy taste and went rather well with their jasmine rice. If you like avocados, I highly recommend. I did notice many to go orders so it seems this place is more popular than it looks for the size of the venue.
